After a heavy night I took my friend here for brunch. On the outside it looks closed. Walking up the stairs exposes a open kitchen and large seating area with cacti everywhere and a cool kat clock over looking the place. The service was enjoyable from start to finish..90 percent of staff including the chef looked genuinely happy to be working there dancing to the music smiling as they cooked and served. It gave it a buzz! The menu consists of well..a American diner..from the special board I chose the maple pecan nut shake and the Benny crab cakes.. my friend had the spinach and poached eggs dish with fresh mint tea. The Shake was huge and yummy and while I waited for my food I kept seeing indulgent stacks of pancakes being whisked away. My poached eggs were oozy and perfect and the crab cakes.. well very crabby! And rich..to break it up there was water melon on the side which refreshed the palette. My friend really enjoyed hers too. I really want to come back here :( please extend your opening times!!

I imagine it's even better at night. The cocktails were very pricey but absolutely perfect in every way. I didn't enjoy the food I ordered , the beef tartare, but that was purely because I didn't realise that it was going to be raw meat and it disturbed me somewhat! I would highly recommend this place but make sure you've got plenty of money to spare.

Take their Freaky Music Friday's for example which is a total must if, like me, you love a really good dance off. I stumbled in here with two work colleagues on a bitterly cold sleepy Wednesday night. I confess mostly I was happy to get out of the cold but I was ultimately lured in by the Wednesday's Half Price Steak night. We were not disappointed. I'm not so bothered by décor as I'll take good food over posh wallpaper any day, but if it's your thang then this place is very nicely styled. We quickly skimmed over the excessively priced wine list, selected a discounted Happy Hour bottle of Malbec and headed straight to the decent choice of cut price steak list. Overall I can't begin to recommend highly enough: 1. The steak - probably one of the best I have ever had, so tender, melt in the mouth tasty and a total bargain £17.00 for their 300g petit chateau (that's the best cut from the middle of a fillet btw) 2. The amazing Guinness and Soya reduction. It was a tough call to divert my attention away from the amazingly sublime smokey peppercorn I'd chosen but I couldn't resist dipping into my colleagues more than a few times after the first taste! 3. The service. Superbly attentive, perhaps a little too keen but it was a quiet night 4, The Happy Hour half priced bottle of Malbec and bargain steaks. We were unanimous in our 'too stuffed for desert or coffee' verdict so I can't comment on anything else on the menu on this occasion but I am persuaded enough to come back here again and not just to swing my booty about on a Freaky Friday Dance night. 10/10 Biltmore Bar & Grill.

Most of the places around there are full of people all dressed up getting hammered, but the Cask Corner is a great place to hang out with friends, play a board game, listen to some live music, or hear a comedian on comedy night. I've been there twice and the first time was extremely memorable. We happened to show up on the first Wednesday of the month which is comedy night. We sat through 4 mediocre comedians who mostly made fun of themselves and droll. I was slightly amused, probably more because I'm American and listening to local English comedians was funny just because of their different brand of humor. There was a main act and I am so glad we stayed for it. Jonathan Mayor performed and he was HILARIOUS. I have never seen a comedian in person who was so funny, and this was free entrance! The beer selection is interesting and the decor is definitely a conversation piece. The high ceilings make it feel open. The bathrooms are on the second floor and they don't always work, as I witnessed when I walked in on the barman and a lady in a lovely green dress with a long stick plunging the ladies toilet. Always something interesting going on in the Cask Corner. There's a great mix of different seating options as well as a pool table. Overall, a great addition to Doncaster town center.

We often visit Doncaster from the States, as my husband is from there. When we go we spend sometimes weeks in the town and we eat out a lot. The Cheswold is our go-to place. Our friends in Doncaster laugh when we tell them how often we eat there, but they don't understand! I think the Cheswold is a great value for what you get. We often get their Fish and Chips which is really good! The other entrees are also good, but the fish and chips is my favorite. The desserts are good too. The service is excellent, and that's coming from an American with high standards and expectations. The servers are quick and always check on us throughout the meal. The people at the bar where you order are always friendly. We usually sit in the bar, but there is a 'dining room' to the right as you walk in and it serves a different buffet each night. There is also a children's play area. The Cheswold also offers free WiFi, as do most pubs around England. The WiFi here is very slow. It's the one thing I would like to see improved. Overall, I'll be back again and again for a reasonably priced good meal.

Service is pretty slow and getting our bill at the end was near impossible. I had to go find our waitress to pay. Our pizzas took a long time but were pretty good. The menu is quite large and there are several things to choose from. We also got some fries with cheese and bacon on them. They were very mediocre. The cheese was very low quality, if it was even cheese. The sticky toffee pudding dessert was pretty good, but not spectacular. It seems like "ok but not great" is the theme of my visits. Starters taking around 40minutes to get to us, mains an hour after that and we asked for the bill several times and it took an hour to come. I wish they would also change the milkshakes back to the way they us to be with ice cream. The only other bad point I have is I went for my birthday last year with family for breakfast and there were several items including hash browns that they didn't have in. However I will never fault the food, I have had many items from this restaurant and they are all delicous. The Mixed grill was amazing and cooked to perfection, it has to be the best dish on the menu. The a number of other dishes that are also a must try, sweet potato fries, mac n cheese, onion rings, calimari, calzone. The price I would say is fair, but the Frankie & Bennies app normally gives you some great discounts. I always find that the atmosphere is great at night. There is seating inside and out, however I don't believe I've ever seen anyone sit outside. The location is also perfect for a great night out, next to the Vue Cinema and SuperBowl (Bowling). Worth a visit
