Selected for a relatives birthday party and was shocked by how overpriced it was and how the food was, and I don't use the word lightly, rubbish. Considering that this restaraunt has prices comparable with Jamie Oliver's chain of eateries it's a laughable dining experience.
The kids eat anything, they didn't notice. Not one of the six Adults was happy with their food, I was the only one to complain and my main meal was struck from the bill without question.....a common occurrence I reckon. So what were the issues?
It was busy but there was an hour between starters and the main meal. When my BBQ pulled pork burger came, it appears the BBQ sauce had been put on with a pipette. The pulled pork was Luke warm, the barely warm, burger unseasoned, and tasteless...I could have been eating cardboard. The tomato and flimsy lettuce leaf were so wet, the bun was soaked and I could pour the water off onto my plate.
I think they knew we were coming on the Saturday as it appears that they started to cook my mother in laws half chicken on the Wednesday before, it was so dry.
My wife's food had potato skins so hard that only the 1cm cube of potato in the middle was edible. Picture those half a coconuts that you hang in the garden for the birds.....that's what they were like, to be fair any bird trying to eat those bullets would break their beaks. Other issues were sloppy pizzas, bland calzones and the wrong meal. It's an absolute shambles of a place, even if the food is rubbish there is no excuse for dirty cutlery.
One chef and two kids, cooking for a full restaurant...not a good idea. Let's be honest, the food is pre-made and re heated in most cases, the "special sauce" will be delivered in plastic 5ltr tubs...for the prices being charged, do yourself a favour and pick a restaurant or pub that cares. read more
