I filed title paperwork and the women that work here kept telling me different dates that this would be processed and different this and different that . "Carmen" then calls me today happy "hey so you paperwork was filed and returned already back in February. Mind you this is after I called 4 different times and no one knew anything after looking in the system. I am beyond pissed and frustrated at the lack of professionalism and the lack of accountability that this place has . I decided to transfer my tags from a vehicle I sold to my current car. The nearest Tag Service wouldn't give me a price over the phone. When I went there, they wanted to charge me $170.00. So I called Frank Vans as I have used them many times in the past. They told me over the phone what the cost was and I took the long drive to Vans. I saved over $100 by going to the old favorite tag service, Frank Vans. read more

I was told by a few people to go here to help switch my car registration from another state to PA. Every employee I talked to was super helpful and helped to make my process smooth. Although Google and Frank Van's own website says they are located on Cottman avenue, they are not. I called their Cottman Ave. location using the number on their website and what was on Google. I called them to make sure I had everything I needed to register a car. I told them I would be there in a couple minutes. I get there and the store looks like a crack house, obviously closed for some time. I called their Cottman Ave. address and the call obviously routed to their Penndel location, but they never told me that the location I was trying to call was no longer open. Quick stop last night to get something notarized, I called before hand to confirm their hours and the ability to handle the task, the lady confirmed and asked that I come before the exact closing time. The request made me think it was going to be a time consuming process, but I was actually in and out within a few minutes. This place sits on Cottman Ave across from Roosevelt Mall. If you pull into the driveway there are 3 or 4 spots right next to it which is nice. They are open pretty late til 8:30 on the weekday I visited. No line walked right in two ladies were working, the one who helped me was very nice, and quick. They take cards, but I paid cash. That's about it, I came, I saw I conquered! I frequent the area so I'll keep them in mind for future notary needs. read more

I have been driving for 52 years. In the past, I've used this company 95% of the time for my auto registration needs. They use to be extremely knowledgeable and professional in all of my dealings with them. I'm not sure what happened, but they have become the most INNEPT, UNKNOWLEDGABLE place to do business with. They have absolutely no clue about the motor vehicle laws, and procedures regarding driver licensing and vehicle titling in the state of Pennsylvania. EXAMPLE 1: Approximately 1.5 months ago I took my 20 year old granddaughter to perform a title only transfer for a vehicle she was purchasing. At the time, her PA state ID had expired, however, that day she had passed her driver's permit test, and had her permit with her. We were told that she couldn't transfer the vehicle into her name unless she renewed her state ID. I attempted to explain that her new permit was her renewed ID, they insisted that it was not a valid ID. We left there, and went to a knowledgeable agency and transferred the title and were on our way in less than 30 minutes. EXAMPLE 2: Today, my granddaughter passed her driver's test at a 3rd party examination location, her permit was then stamped stating that this is now her PENNSYLVANIA DRIVER'S LICENSE for 120 days until she receives her camera card to obtain her permanent license. We returned to Van's to register her vehicle so she could drive it. Again, they now refused to recognize her stamped permit as her official Pennsylvania state driver's license and said they couldn't do her registration on line because "SHE ONLY HAD A PERMIT " and they had to do it manually. Who ever owns this company now has to train their people to do their job correctly. I WILL NEVER, NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN, AND I WILL URGE ANYONE I KNOW TO USE A REAL KNOWLEDGEABLE COMPANY. read more

Recently I was there transferring title for my car to a neighbor, Lynda waited patiently for my neighbor to go online to find her insurance coverage and even helped her to navigate the insurance website to find her ID card. They are very helpful and I definitely recommend them if you really just need to get something done and be in and out. The two women working there today are awesome. Came in with my grandmom to get a paper notorizied. They were so much nicer and professional vs the asshat that works at Wells Fargo in Rockledge. We were in and out in under 10 minutes and the price is VERY reasonable. This was my 2nd time there. The first time, I transferred my old car over to someone and that went without a hitch as well. This place is very convenient for its weekend and late hours. Frank has been there both times I stopped by for title transfers, and his entire staff is friendly, organized and fast. The place is super small and the parking lot is even smaller (3 or 4 cars max?). I got there on a Sunday, double parked on the sidewalk sort of, had all my paperwork in order, and was out the door in under ten minutes. There are always shady people lurking in the lot, but since they were so fast, I was only slightly nervous with my new motorcycle sitting in my truck. read more

Wanted a simple notory. Was turned away on a Friday because one signer had an expired license. Seemed silly since it was obviously still a picture ID but we got the new license on Saturday and returned on Sunday as was suggested by the employee. Unfortunately we had already signed the documents per instructions so the dates were wrong so we had to reprint the documents. Upon returning on Sunday we were in the middle of the process when a gentleman behind the counter decided that he didn't want to notarize a quit claim deed and so again we were turned away. Mind you we had stated it was a QC Deed from the outset both times we visited and this same business had notarized a previous QC deed for us. Of course we had already been instructed to sign our documents so again I will have to get new ones and find a proper notary to actually do the job. Never going back to this place again. read more
