Not Attentive nor Timely!…read more With taxes, timing is everything, specifically when you are predicting owning our government money. Unfortunately, if you are looking for a CPA that will be attentive and timely, David Chopp is not your accountant. For our 2017 tax year, we enlisted the help of Mr. Chopp. Although we started the process of getting in to see him in January, our tax return was not ready until ten days before the Federal deadline. Additionally, Chopp never took the time to consult with us about the amount we may owe. Because of this timing and because we were not aware of the amount of taxes we would owe, we were unable to prepare ourselves financially. Once we finally received our return and saw the amount, we were left scrambling to find funds and react to this new debt. It took a couple of weeks and several phone calls to the IRS to get things in order finally. If Chopp had been more timely and attentive to our tax needs, we would not have had to arrange our finances to deal with the IRS so frantically. On top of all this, there were several communications that we took as belittling as if everyone should know the details of tax laws and accounting procedures or his bandwidth. In retrospect, hindsight being 20/20, I would not have chosen Mr. Chopp as our CPA. My recommendation is to find another accountant.

I sent ATMS my paperwork to prepare my federal and state tax return on March 6, 2022 and have confirmation the email was received. I contacted Bob and ATMS tax services at least 3 time from March 6 thru April 28, 2022 regarding the tax return. I was advised the first week in May 2022 via a telephone call that Bob was very busy and he was working on the return. He also advised that he did not have anyone helping him with tax returns this year and was behind. I was tired of waiting for my return and had another company prepare the 2021 return. I am extremely disappointed in ATMS tax services and the lack of commitments from Bob. I will not use ATMS in the future
