I need cataract surgery in both eyes. My initial appt went smoothly and I got 2 appts, one for each eye. Dates but no times - " we'll call you a few days before with the time". I was out of the country the week before my first appt date (on a Monday) and got a message - you need a medical clearance first. Well, that wasn't happening a thousand miles away. My fault totally. When I called back, there's no provision to leave a message to the office, and the receptionist is clueless. I called back the (different) number I had gotten the original message from, and voila! An answering machine. No response until the Monday of the first eye from some lackey. "Ok we'll cancel today, but next Monday you're on for the other eye and someone will call you to give you the time and reschedule this one". No calls. I got my health clearance and sent it over. On Wed I called back the same clueless receptionist - do I have a time?? "Oh they'll call you a few days before". ??? It is a few days before!!! No calls. On Fri I tried again. Oh, the office is closed. No provision for leaving a message. I called the answering service to leave a message. Sorry, can't do - call back during business hours. Here it is Monday of my appt - no calls. Needless to say, I didn't go. Midday, and no calls. I'm done with them - I made an appt elsewhere. There are plenty of other providers around here. (Oh, and I left them a nastygram on their website this morning - no response) DONT GO THERE!!!!!

You spend more time with the technicians than the actual optometrist. The technicians don't explain what they're doing but they're the ones that provide your perscription info to the doctor. The Optometrist simply checks their work. When I was finally seen by the doctor, they did not contact an actual exam. They dilated my eyes but did not check the pressure even though I have a family history of glaucoma. I have no confidence in the technician or doctor to be honest. I'm never going back.

Doctors are well trained and friendly but then again an average wait time of 90 minutes is not acceptable! When it comes to the "tech" staff ,It's hit -or-miss, some seems to be knowledgeable and friendly and some are not. I would prefer that the Doctor will do all medical related procedures like they use to do in the old days but.... The optic store have an impressive selection of frames from a variety of manufactures that is not usually available in other optic stores. That being said, optic department is very pricy ! I was quoted a price of over $1300 for frame and lenses!!!! All in all, I think that a smaller optic clinic with one or two Doctors potentially might do a better job. they will have less overhead expenses and might have the time to be more personable and give a consistent quality service to there patients. The technician who did my eye exam took her time and explained things clearly. Dr. Jhawar also was very informative and answered all my questions. Prior to my visit I wasn't sure if I was going to get my glasses here or somewhere else. Well while browsing the eyeglass technician approached me. We talked and I decided with her help to try a few pairs of glasses on. Once she knew what I was looking for she quickly gave me several options for my taste. I had no wait time at all and was quickly seen . Great experience great staff!

She was not in a hurry to leave and go to the next patient but was genuinely in the moment in the exam room with me. I would recommend her to anyone but I chose her specifically for her expertise with auto immune disease. The equipment was cleaned by the tech and by Dr. Lin and she cleaned her hands before and after every time she touched me. As a medical professional her attention to infection control and prevention means a lot.
