What made this worse was watching other individuals who appeared to have a personal relationship with the doctor walk in without appointments and be taken ahead of us. It felt completely unprofessional and disrespectful of our time. When we were finally seen, the interaction did not improve. Dr. Mellano came across as defensive and combative when we asked reasonable questions about our daughter's condition. After reviewing MRIs and X-rays that were ordered through this same clinic, he ultimately said he didn't know what the problem was, suggested her pain (ongoing for over a year) would "eventually go away," and advised us to seek a specialist outside of his clinic. We left with no diagnosis, no treatment plan, and no confidence in the care provided. For a pediatric patient dealing with long-term pain, this level of dismissal and lack of professionalism is unacceptable.
