However, with so few pain management doctors in Midland, it's nearly impossible to see him. During the two and a half years that I was his patient, I spoke to him only twice. Instead, I had to see his nurse practitioner, and that's where the problem lay. She (1) made lots of mistakes; (2) paid no attention to me when I tried to explain my symptoms; (3) was condescending and occasionally argumentative. Recently I tried to leave a message with the receptionist to ask Dr. McGehee to call me about a question before I had a procedure done. I spent about a half-hour on the phone with her, explaining what I wanted and why. Instead of simply passing the message along to him, she insisted she had to check my chart. Why? I've never experienced anything like that. I was asking for five minutes of the doctor's time. The best doctor in the world does me no good if I can't ask him a simple question. The next day, a nurse from the office called me. All I wanted to know was the difference between two procedures. Instead of answering my question, she threatened to cancel my procedure. I suspect that she was so snarky to me because she *couldn't* answer the question. I spent five minutes on Google and found out what I needed to know. It was a simple question with a simple answer, something a nurse in a pain management practice should have known. It's unfortunate that we have to travel to Lubbock to get good medical care.

After one procedure that did nothing to relieve me of my pain, my husband called his office. He was told to give me ibuprofen and take me to Urgent Care. Biggest complaint a year in is that the company sending the drops is a week short!!! This is terrible if you depend on the drops. And it shouldn't happen- I paid $1500 to do this for 3 years? I was then introduced to Norma who schedules the surgeries. I went in March 20th to schedule a surgery I was suppose to hear from them that next Tuesday but nothing. I've called but again you can't get ahold of anyone. Norma gave me her " personal number " to text but she also doesn't get back to you when she says. Today is March 28th. The lady who answered the phone told me I did not have a pharmacy on file with them. Her tone was as if I had done something wrong. I had told them both of my pharmacies when I was there, they just didn't note it in my record. If there was an issue filling my prescription, why didn't they call me to verify the pharmacy?
