Bill, Kristin, and Scott, along with other members of the staff, have pushed me through tough exercises with their expertise and encouragement. I've still got work to do, but I know they will help me meet the goals for mobility. I highly recommend them!

Christen and Bill rock!! The entire staff is pretty incredible... from the front desk (Tiffany, Brenda & Kristin) to every one of the PTs, PTAs, college students are always approachable, professional, knowledgeable!! Thank You Leigh, Randall, Reid (cool shoes), sweet Bryce, Parker, Jayna and Keagan). I'm always pushed and encouraged to go beyond my limits while they guide my therapy, allow questions re: my therapy and they offer alternatives and suggestions if I'm unsure or if something doesn't feel right. Christen, makes me "tap out" but I (who's a good hot mess) still love her cuz she's calm, knowledgeable, and she's pushed me when I've challenged her and she's recognized my physical ability or need to change my therapy plan... she explains the physiological effects and recognizes the interventions needed for my therapy outcomes!!! I'm way ahead of my postop recovery... thanks Christen!!!

Before I found Vertex, I was cynical about how well physical therapy worked. I had only been to one…read morePT practice where I was scheduled for an hour with a PT doctor along with 2 or 3 other patients. He would give me an ice bag for 20 minutes to put on my injury, then work with the other patients who had the same appointment time. When he returned to me, he needed a debriefing about why I was there again, because he couldn't keep his patients straight. I felt like I could have done the same things at home and saved myself a lot of time and money. I think I went twice, total, before I gave up. Vertex operates within a whole different model -- one that enlightened me and has influenced the entire PT industry in Columbia, as other practices are now trying to mirror Vertex's approach. Each PT doctor meets with just one patient the entire hour, and a lot of progress is made in that hour. I have been patients of Vertex's founders, Dr. Jim Floyd and Dr. Brandon Vaughn, and both are exceptional -- very bright, innovative, and caring, and their integrity and patient-centered approach is apparent in all they do and in the kind of people they hire. I have seen multiple PTs at their clinics, with Dr. Aimee Depelteau being the one I've seen the most, and all have been exceptional. As a patient in my early 50s who is trying to stay active and strong for a lifetime, I have had a range of injuries that Vertex has helped me get through. If I'm injured (again), I go to Vertex for a consult for a faster diagnosis and treatment plan than I would get via an MD (as SC does not require an MD referral for the first several PT visits), and I get the bonus of not having to pay for things like X-rays, MRIs, etc. unless I truly need them. I'll always be grateful to Dr. Floyd for saving me from having surgery for a herniated disc in my neck, thanks to his wisdom and treatment. This is a smart, well-trained team who is passionate about their work and good health. Dr. Josh Jeffery and Dr. Vaughn have a great podcast, Better Faster, and many of the PT team engage in fitness coaching on the side and train hard themselves. Highly recommend.

I went in for low back pain, and they have given me plenty of exercises to do, and we are even lifting weights there. The PT fixed my deadlift form and since going, my back has improved tremendously. Other PT places have told me I should never deadlift again but this place is all about getting your strength back and teaching you how to brace your core. There are patients of all ages there and it's the best. I recommend it to anyone and everyone! The staff is amazing and very friendly. All of the PTs are very knowledgeable and they know what they're doing
