The visit today was the polar opposite. Dr. Lee was short tempered, appeared to be rushed and was highly disrespectful to my mother in law. It is known by all that she is hard of hearing. During the visit she asked a question to which she did not hear Dr. lee's reply the 1st time; about her shoulder pain most likely being arthritis . She posed the question again to which he responded, and I quote, "I just told you it's arthritis!". This followed him telling my husband "she drove before surgery, so she can drive again now!"when he asked about additional( medically identified by Dr.Lee) in home PT visit vs in office PT visits. My husband over looked the first curt response to him by dr. Lee and brushed it off as Dr.Lee having a bad day. However, the reply to his mom could not be excused. We are done with Dr. Lee & will find another provider.

Right Elbow Tendentious: I had a horrible experience with…read morethis Dr. McFadden. The nursing staff at the facility is fantastic!! It was just this doctor. I was scheduled for surgery and was uncomfortable with some of the practices of the PA due to my lack of knowledge on the situation. All I know is that after the cortisone shots were administered my situation became worse. I did not want to be cut open until I found out why my situation had become worse after the shots. I was also concerned that when I spoke with Dr. McFadden for the first time about my elbow, he was unaware that I had an MRI done and was already discussing surgery. When he opened my MRI, at my request, he told me that he could see the problem, but it wasn't the worst he'd seen. Still surgery was the next step. The surgery was schedule for 2 days later. I had to cancel my first surgery appointment because I had to pay 20% upfront (that was told to me by the nursing staff) and it being the end of the month, I didn't have the money until the 1st of the following month. Also, 2 days was too quick of a turn around to have my wife take off of work to drive me to the facilities and home. On the day of the rescheduled surgery I fasted the night before, had the requested clothing on, and had my wife take vacation from work to drive me to surgery and remain with me for 2 days afterward as requested. I was fully ready to have the procedure done. Since I was the first surgery of the day, Dr. McFadden was not in yet and I had to wait for him to come in to speak with him. He came into the facility and was irate that I was not already prepped for surgery. The conversation did not go well and when I expressed my concerns of my diagnose and the medical practices of his team, I was meet with hostility and anger. I am the patient and have every right to feel comfortable before someone cuts my body open. However, when I told Dr. McFadden that I was feeling uncomfortable with the procedure until I have better answers on why my situation became worse after the shots, he told me I put him behind schedule and that I am wasting his time. He expressed his frustration that I didn't want to proceed that day with the surgery by stating "You've cancelled on me twice now" again the first cancellation was because I didn't have the money to pay upfront or enough time for my wife to take off of work. He then told me my elbow got worse because it just got worse and then said, "just don't do anything then". I asked why he didn't know I had an MRI done and he said, "I don't need and MRI to know you need this surgery" So why take the MRI??? I asked myself afterward.... He told me to reschedule for another day. When I was walking up to the desk to reschedule, he stopped me and said "you know what? Don't reschedule! Just find yourself another Doctor! To which I replied "OK" and peacefully walked out. I don't know this to be a fact, but this entire event made me feel as if Dr. McFadden and the entire USC-Ortho Center didn't care one bit about my health, but simply wanted to cash in on a seemingly unnecessary MRI and surgery. Also, they had no empathy for patients that may be feeling uncomfortable with surgery. I had legitimate questions but what if I were a someone who had never had surgery before and was terrified about being cut open?!?!? Would they be treated the same way?!?!? Every patient has the right to ask question and be comfortable with surgery. They don't have to blindly take the word of a doctor because they went to medical school. I have too many people that I know tell me that after surgery they were worse off because they just went with what the doctor said. I was in the Army for 6 years and know a thing or two about botched surgeries. This is completely unacceptable, and I will not rest until this man is properly reprimanded for these actions. No one should ever feel bullied into having surgery or chastised for questioning a doctor's diagnosis. EVER!!!!

This facility did not have recovery rooms for the patients to be monitored after their procedures. In my (albeit limited) experience, a procedure like this requires the patient to remain still for 15+ minutes afterward. However, this facility was popping through patients as if they were candy from a Pez dispenser. They apparently applied a small amount of lidocaine per injection, but not enough to sufficiently numb the area. My husband said they also did not allow him time to ask questions, calm himself down, or offer him anything to help with the anxiety. Instead, they ushered him into the same procedure room three other men had just been in and asked him to take off his shirt and start prepping for his shot. When he said that he was unsure about getting it, the staff did not sit down to discuss the pros and cons of the decision, they simply ushered him out and a different patient. I dont even know how they managed to properly sterilize the procedure room between patients.

One time she waited 2 and a half hours only to be told the doctor couldn't do an injection she needed. How could someone not figured this s#*t out before keeping a woman waiting that long? She came back to the car in tears, in part because of the pain she was in, but also frustrated at being kept waiting so long for nothing. These people may have good doctors but they clearly don't really care for their patients.

Not a good choice unless you are ultra-Christian and want sub-standard care. Offering to pray as a…read moreChristian for (this) pagan Buddhist is like offering a pork sandwich to a Jewish person. First, this doctor couldn't get my medicine history straight. He kept trying to put my current meds as my initial meds, no matter how many times I told him. I brought a write-up of what happened with the injury, and I wrote it up on their form, and he asked me what happened and started writing it down. Why did I have to write it if he needed to? Second, he told me if the physical therapy didn't work, he'd offer an epidural shot in my spine and that that would "cure" the problem. After extensive research, not only does it not "cure" the problem, most often it doesn't provide any relief and then it can only provide relief from 1 day to a year. It also comes with serious side affects and the possibility of permanent paralysis. Telling a patient that something will "cure" an issue when it clearly will not is opening yourself up for a mal-practice suit. Third, He seriously downplayed my injury, claiming it was pre-existing. While, and not knowing until this point, some may have been pre-existing, I did not have any issue with my back until I was injured at work, even having a bone density scan prior and them telling me my back and hips were perfect with no arthritis or issues whatsoever. This doctor completely ignored my hip issues (pinched sciatic) - said it was just minor residual pain (MINOR?? I can't hardly walk!) - and would not explain the x-rays or MRI. I came in with a cane. I had a witness in with me. They also had signs everywhere of all their extra charges, which I have never seen in a doctor's office in all my years. I will say, the front staff and the lady taking my x-ray were very nice and helpful. As it stands now, I cannot work in my current field and have to find different and lesser paying employment to accommodate my injury. I don't care what religion or faith you are. Keep your religion and your professional practice separate! Take your patients seriously! The insurance people won't write a review but your patients will!
