This place was chosen by my droolworthy sexy sidekick, who has the most perfect stylish sideburns I've ever seen in my life. It could be the man, but I have frequently considered the sideburn as the unsung hero of male facial hair, and I personally would like to see a comeback in popularity. The most adequate way to summarize the crowd at Frank is sideburns vs. manbuns/beards. That should be sufficient. I will continue in the name of Yelp....and actually review the place. We sat outside, it was pleasant. The service at Frank was quick. We had one drink and a bruschetta, which wasn't on a hard piece of toast, but rather a piece of bread which had French bread like consistency and taste. Maybe why this place is called Frank? Wouldn't that be clever! Doubtful; but we'll play along. *exaggerated open mouthed wink emoji* Very limited menu (No salads) available at 10:30 PM. Hence the docked star and the reluctant microwaved Stouffer's French Bread Pizza Bruschetta experience, which wasn't entirely unpalatable - but definitely unexpected. I'd return, come earlier for the full menu, and try sitting inside next time so I can be mesmerized and lost in the world of maturity and sideburns with minimal outside distractions. read more

If it weren't for the really terrible service here, I'd give it 5 stars. The waitress seemed supremely annoyed that I didn't speak Italian, though I graciously tried to the best of my ability and smiled the whole way through, and ordered directly and quickly from the menu. I was basically left for 30 min after my meal trying to get the check. When I finally got her attention she motioned that I was supposed to approach the cashier to pay and barely even said thanks. Ever felt like you were being punished by your server?! This was new to me, and I've traveled internationally a ton. The attitude definitely isn't par for the course with Milan. It's just this place. That said, the salads are big and fresh, and the pasta was al dente, fresh, and delicious. read more

If you ever walk by, people will stare at you. Which is super annoying! Friends have told me that they have an aperitivo but I've never witnessed nor tried it before. One horrible experience I had is due to one horrible worker: I came here with my friends once and the worker spilled a drink of my friend's khaki colored pants and white converse! The cocktail was red so it dyed his shoes and stained his pants pink! The worker didn't even apologize! He cleaned up the broken glass and spilled drink and proceeded to leave. He then came back with some sort of spray and asked my friend to come with him. As he was spraying his pants, he says sorry. A little too late. My friend was already pissed off. Then he brought out complimentary drinks that we didn't want. And they were tiny and I think they were smoothies or leftovers from other people's drink orders. Amazing hand crafted cocktails. I had the Basil Honey (€10) with vodka, honey, basil and pink grapefruit and the Hemingway Special (€12) with rum, maraschino, pineapple and pink grapefruit. Stopped here for a drink before grabbing dinner nearby. The atmosphere is very nice and relaxed, they had a few good beer selections in bottles, and the happy hour buffet (included with drinks) was very good. In fact, after having some of that buffet I really didn't need dinner (still did though). Free wifi is available to customers as well. read more

Came for aperitivo, like everywhere else during our trip :) but this place stood out as my favorite. We had no problem only speaking English, we just went up to the man serving the food and he made us up a huge plate. The pizza was my favorite. We sat outside, it was a slightly pretentious atmosphere on a Saturday night, but not uncomfortable. The service was a little slow, but I found that to be consistent in all the restaurants. My advice would be to order 2 drinks since it will be a while until they come back around if it's busy. read more

My girlfriend and I visited Milan for a few days and our host recommended this place among other neighborhood bars. We liked it for an ambiance and friendly staff. Aperetivo finger foods were also pretty good for a descent drink price. Just a nice place to have a refreshment with friends after a work day, I guess. read more
