My father saw Dr Qadir as a new patient because his primary care physician had retired. My father hadn't been feeling well: he had lost significant weight, his legs were starting to give out, and he was sleeping a lot more. His mood was shifting. I couldn't attend with him in person because I had COVID, so I sent him and his caregiver a long list of concerns to show Dr Qadir. He was dead from Stage 4 cancer 5 weeks later, and she didn't even flag anything as wrong even after seeing the list. Just said "see you again in 3 months". Nothing could have saved my dad's life at that point, but if we had known it was terminal cancer, he would have had the opportunity to say goodbyes, set up his estate more effectively, and visited his favorite places for the last time. After he died, Dr Qadir had the audacity to call me to extend her condolences. What a callous attempt to repair the damage. If you want you or your loved one's health cared for like my father's, by all means, give Dr Qadir a visit. But if you'd like someone to flag if you have cancer, go somewhere else.

"Next time bring some pliers!" OR "Rethinking Cartilage Implants."…read more This is an absolutely true story. I am not making up any of this. My wife had an earring stuck in the cartilage of her ear. It was pretty old (the earring I mean, not my wife.) Her ear was sore and perhaps infected. Now what do we do? Of course, we turned to Dr Omarali--he'll know what to do! After spraying some lidocaine on the area, the doctor got out a couple of instruments. They were sort of like pliers, but I bet they're a lot more expensive. Anyway, after just a few minutes of manipulating the instruments he had the earring out. He was very understanding, but I couldn't help noticing that the doctor did NOT have any cartilage implants. Maybe there's a message in that. Note to self: do not implant foreign objects in the cartilage of my ear (or in any other bodily appendage.) I am proud to state that I was the doctor's assistant for this procedure-- I held my wife's hair back away from her ear. Who knows, this might be the start of a new medical career for me. My wife and I have been patients of Dr Omarali for many years. Besides being a great physician, the doctor is a true gentleman. I never feel rushed during my appointments. Note that the doctor's office is now on Stoneridge, still in Pleasanton, but a more convenient location. So another great visit. Next time I'm bringing some needle nose pliers. I bet I get a discount on my copay. And under no circumstances am I implanting objects in any cartilage in any part of my body.

During discussions about my health concerns, she never makes me feel more anxious. Instead, she provides reassurance and support. She never rushes through appointments and always makes sure that everything is addressed and properly taken care of before concluding the visit. She also consistently follows up through messages to ensure that I have no problems obtaining my medications or scheduling treatments. I have never felt pressured by her; rather, I genuinely feel her compassion and care. Dr. Liao is not only an excellent primary care physician, but someone who truly cares about her patients. She offers thoughtful recommendations and presents different options when needed. She also has an impressive memory and remembers important details about her patients. I am very grateful for her dedication and the genuine care she provides.

I am surprised that no one has written a review for Dr. Liao yet. When it comes to health…read moreproviders, I have very high standards. My experience with PAMF dates all the way back to Camino Medical Group some 20 years ago. My previous PAMF provider, who took care of me for 8 years, left for MassGen Brigham (proof that I only pick the greatest PCPs). So I switched my entire family's care to Dr. Liao a year ago after failing a few other options. I've been very happy with her care so far. She has a sharp mind and is very efficient. I like how her appointments are always on time yet she could cover a lot of things in short visits, grasping the key issues immediately, and coming up with a plan. She never hesitates to make referrals, even for little things that I would be tempted to ignore. And she finds the best specialist to get me the right treatments, which turned out not as complicated as I had imagined. She motivates me to take better care of my body and keep up with my check-ups not by talking but by her diligent work. Everyone else in my family also likes her a lot. She communicates well with kids from preschoolers to teens and young adults, as well as children with special needs. I was upset and anxious when my previous provider left PAMF, but she has brought peace back into my mind. It's kind of sad that today's PAMF deals with many issues like discrimination, meritocracy, bureaucracy, etc. Thus, as a patient, I think it is even more important to give every doctor benefits of the doubt. Don't be fooled by the years of practice or ivy degrees or social media, judge with your own eyes and experience. Although she is young and she has a D.O. degree, she is still one of the best primary care physicians that I've encountered over many years.
