I cannot say enough good things, especially about the pediatric department and Dr. Spruill! Late yesterday afternoon, we called to get our daughter seen following a playground mishap. They graciously agreed to fit us in at the end of their day. Dr. Spruill evaluated our daughter and was glad we brought her in immediately. Though we had initially been told any procedure may have to wait, he stayed well beyond closing to make sure she received the surgery she needed. He and the assistant made sure she was comfortable throughout and called back today to check on how she was feeling. They communicated easily with my husband and I, ensuring we understood what was being done as well as follow-up precautions needing to be taken. We absolutely love this practice and I have frequently recommended them to friends and family! It is clear that they truly care about their patients.

The dentist was very nice, gentle and fast, I barely felt his anesthesia shots. The dental assistants were very compassionate and sweet. It was very hard to get an initial appointment, and I waited a long time to get in. That being said, both my 23-year-old son and I had good experiences. So far zero complaints. Sadly, over the past two years customer service for the adults in our household has declined significantly. I'm going share as 4 stars, at this point it's really closer to 3 1/2 but they don't give you an option for that, which I'm torn since they do take great care of my children. Let's start with the positives: The hygienist and Doctor who work with our children are wonderful. They are gentle, kind, and patient. They have never pushed unnecessary treatments. They simply do their cleanings, make observations, and offer suggestions. Never had an issue with how our kids are treated. They even allow you to sit in the room with them. This part of their practice has always been excellent. The wait time once you arrive and check in is never long, I don't believe we've ever waited more than 10 minutes to be seen except one time when someone called out so they were short staffed. The office is also very clean. However, our experience as adults has been very frustrating. My husband was essentially "Ghosted" as a patient. He was contacted about moving his appointment earlier, which he agreed to only if his original appointment could remain in case he couldn't make it ( He was traveling for work that week). They canceled his original appointment anyways, and then later canceled another appointment because insurance was "asking questions" but no one ever followed back up with him like they said they would. In the end they dictated his schedule instead of working with it, and he never got his mouth completed after starting a deep cleaning. Recently they repeatedly kept contacting me during work hours asking for insurance information even though I had told them I did not have it on hand and would send it as soon as I could that day. The constant texts during the workday feel excessive and stressful. Another limitation is pain management, they only offer injections for numbing. If you don't numb well with needles like me they can't accommodate you. They won't even do my teeth cleanings until one tooth issue is resolved elsewhere. Scheduling is also a bit difficult, appointments are typically booked close to a year out, and although we tried to switch to their newer location, they told me they are still working on insurance coverage there so we're stuck at this office. Today was another example of the disorganization. We had a 2pm appointment and arrived 15 minutes early. The staff was in a meeting and kept all patients waiting outside until exactly 2PM. As more and more patients arrived for their appointments they eventually put a sign on the door telling people to return at 1PM even though it was already past that and they still weren't available until 2. It was confusing and frustrating especially for those who arrive on time and early. During cleanings you won't see the dentist for more than 5 minutes unless you have specific concerns. Overall, this used to be a 5-star office for us. Now it feels very inconsistent. Excellent for children so far.

But the kids love their friendly dental hygienist and dentist here. Dr. Chawla is their dentist and she is so sweet and caring for all her patients. She is so nice and very knowledgeable. My son was having a toothache and they gave him an appointment quickly for the next day. They are so fast and efficient here. The waiting room is nice and quiet. The kids enjoy the fish aquarium and I especially enjoy their espresso and coffee making machine. I loved that they had a mail box where the kids can write and send letters to the tooth fairy. They assist the community and are also have a back to school backpack drive along with school supplies. The place is clean. They give good teeth advice and service here is top notch. I like that they don't keep me waiting for appointments and once we arrive they don't have us waiting too long to get seen. We got called in to see the dentist right away. Knowing I have three boys, they got each of them a same time appointment for their cleaning and I was so happy about that! It's a perk for me knowing that I don't have to wait for each kids to get seen one at a time and wait for an hour or more to get their cleaning done. The dental chairs and office is up to date and well equipped. My kids are not afraid coming to the dentist and having the tv screen to entertain them for the moment is a plus. For now this is were my kids and I will be seen and we are completely happy so far with this office being our go to primary dentist.

During my last cleaning, the staff specifically offered me a fluoride treatment and assured me it was fully covered by my insurance. Relying on that information, I agreed to the procedure. About a month later, I received a bill claiming the fluoride treatment was not covered and that I owed the full amount. When I contacted my insurance company directly, they confirmed the treatment was fully covered with no balance due. It took multiple phone calls and persistent follow-ups with the dental office to get them to correct the fraudulent charge. The office had clearly misrepresented the insurance coverage at the time of service in an apparent attempt to overbill me. This experience revealed serious issues with their honesty and billing practices. As a result, I immediately cancelled my next appointment and will never return to this practice. I strongly advise others to be extremely cautious. Always verify insurance coverage independently and double-check everything with your insurance provider before agreeing to any additional treatments here.

My family and I see Dr. Engle. He is just such a genuine, down to earth guy! He put me at ease at my first visit when I had to have a tooth pulled a little over a year ago. My anxiety was out of control and he took the time to help me calm down and get myself under control without making me feel stupid or embarrassed. The whole staff did. I can't thank them enough for what they did for me. Two of my daughters just recently went for their cleaning and again just a great experience. The hygienists are just as kind and friendly as Dr. Engle. I feel terrible I can't remember her name.. but she was going on vacation to Antigua with her husband this month! The doctor did not feel my neck and jaw to detect cancer. The hygienist did not have the standard extra person to call out the 3,2,2,1 gum health numbers to which slows down the appointment.
