And it has been developed like a centrepiece to a whole heaps of streets that connect to the reserve. There was some shade, tree's, shrubs, paths, small hills to create more privacy to different area's. Plenty of room for ball games without having to limit yourselves. No fencing or toilets, in fact I didn't even see a drinking fountain. But it is always best to take your own water anyway if you plan to stay out for a while. There were really two playground area's, one with just bark chips covering beneath it and the other had bark chips but also had rubber matting directly under all the play equipment. There was some seating in the shade close to the play area's. This reserve also houses the Aldinga Scouts. Right next to their fenced off area there is probably one of the best BMX tracks I have seen. It is dirt but it is larger than other ones around and has some quite big jumps. Would keep my teenager occupied for quite a while I think.

There was a really nice functional playground, without anything broken, plus best of all most of the playground itself was in full shade from surrounding tree's, at least in full shade all afternoon. There's also a 3 on 3 basketball area behind the swings. Plus a shelter with table and chairs not far away. There is a bin but I did not spot a drinking fountain, which is odd for a park like this one.

A nice playground too with a small fence near the side that was closest to the roadway. Nicely landscaped but am guessing it's pretty new and there is basically no shade, other than under the shelter. So definitely bring sunscreen and hats. Possibly go for a play then let the kids go for a swim in the beach if it's a warmer day. The playground itself is really cool and has heaps of different stuff to the usual playgrounds with the beach theme incorporated. There are bark chips underneath all the play area.

However it is where the Aldinga Community Centre is. There are toilets, including disabled ones, and water available. There is a kids playground on one side and a tennis court and a garden, presumably for the community centre. Around the far side near Ryan Avenue there is a dog agility course with tunnels and things to run up and hurdles. It's cool, even without a dog! There's also dog bags available on the fence. Over the Stewart Ave side there is a dirt BMX track and also a large skate park facility. Plus all around the oval area there are fitness stations. Looking by the size of them they are made for adults, way too high for kids. There is also a nice bright playground looking structure my child ran to saying "another playground!". I looked at it kind of confused for a minute then told him I thought it was actually part of the fitness facilities and not a kids playground. Lots of poles and climbing things but really high. Although they then had a couple of little ride on spring pieces of equipment in the same spot as well. There was also shelter and at least one BBQ I saw. Plenty of parking on site too. A good place for a day out with all aged people, but bring extra stuff like scooters, skateboards, balls, etc. to make it even more enjoyable and not run out of things to do.

However there is also a small playground at the rear of the area, with some shade. There is plenty of parking. There is a tennis court availale for public use as well. And it's a quite nice tennis court, not a dodgy one like lots of places with uneven surfaces. There's also a drinking fountain, table and chairs and a BBQ, but the seating and BBQ are in full sun.

Ok it is a miniature train, but you can ride on it. What else does this park have that you have given 5 stars to I hear you say? Well it has archery boards, and an awesome track for your remote control cars. I was a bit of a distance away and was on a school excursion so couldn't wander far but some big kids (adults) were testing out their skills on this day. It has a great viewing area raised high off the ground so if this is your thing then this is the place. Unsure of whether there was a BBQ but they do have a new toilet block and plenty of shade around the place.

This playground absolutely blew me away when I stumbled upon it. This street is a little 'industrial' so to find this wonderful park was exciting. It's nestled in among the trees so there's dappled shade over most of the playground. There are BBQs, shaded table/chair areas, lots of nice lawn areas, toilets, a drinking fountain (that works!!!), a skate ramp and LOTS of wonderful play equipment that would suit a variety of age groups and abilities. This is definitely a 'destination playground'. There's plenty of room if you want to spread out a blanket and have a picnic, or there are a couple of BBQs ready for sizzling. To find this playground was such a great feeling, I can only imagine how children feel when they see the place. It takes a lot for me to give a beach 5 stars, I mean... I really hate sand. I've never got the…read morewhole beach thing - the water always seems too cold, sand is annoying, and I'm always chucking glances over at my stuff to check someone's not stealing it. Despite this, I love Moana Beach. My family home is just 5 minutes up the road, so it's always been the beach I come back to. The best bit about the beach in my opinion, is the dog exercise area, a section of the beach where your dogs can just roam free all year round. For the hairy friend in my life, this is just absolute heaven. Outside of daylight savings hours the entire beach becomes leash free. My huge hairy border collie X old english sheep dog looks like a drowned rat in seconds. During Summer the beach is packed, and the Moana Surf Life Saving Club patrols the beaches. Across the road is a great little cafe (Deep Blue Cafe) where you can get a meal, or just grab an ice cream. Moana is definitely my favourite beach, but if we could just get the water the temp it is in Fiji perhaps I'd consider going in!
