Frank's Grizzly's Food is hands down one of the best spots around. Super accommodating with food restrictions as well!! The food is consistently delicious, made fresh, and clearly prepared with care. Whether you're stopping by for a quick bite or grabbing a full meal, you can taste the love in every dish. There's comfort in every flavor -- like the kind of food that makes you pause after the first bite just to appreciate it. But what really sets this place apart are the owners. The team are some of the kindest, most genuine people you'll ever meet. They treat every customer like family and create an atmosphere that feels warm, welcoming, and real. It's rare to find a place that delivers both incredible food and an experience that makes you want to keep coming back. Highly recommend supporting this gem -- you'll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

What more can be said about Frank Grizzly's that hasn't already been said? Kim and Jorge are such a lovely couple who greet every customer with genuine warmth--you instantly feel right at home when you walk in. They have so many regular customers, and the place is busy! The cool, calm, yet welcoming vibes make it the perfect spot for a casual lunch, a cozy dinner date, or a meal with friends and family. Their unique Mexi-Cali flavors truly set them apart. The duck is a standout, but honestly, everything on the menu is worth trying (so much so that they often sell out early). The chicken is perfectly marinated and juicy, the fish is fresh and moist, and--surprisingly--our usually selective kid couldn't stop raving about their quesadillas. I'll admit, they're some of the best I've ever had. If you haven't experienced Frank Grizzly's yet, do yourself a favor and check them out--you'll see why everyone keeps coming back. I know I can never stop sharing the greatness that is Frank Grizzly's!

Can only comment on the breakfast foods and they were great! We ordered breakfast tacos and breakfast quesadilla. Both were excellent. Definitely need to try more things!

LOVE LOVE LOVE! Just had the best experience at Frank Grizzly. The staff (including the chef owners) were so friendly and helpful. You can feel it's a family owned restaurant. The food was AMAZING. We loved everything we ordered; the food was beautiful and delicious. Each ingredient was fresh and prepared with care. This place is 45 minutes from our home, and we would definitely drive up just to eat there again.

What is Cali-Mex food California inspired Mexican food...THIS IS IT! Mexican soul with a laid-back California vibe! The food here is amazingly tasty and different than your average Mexican restaurant. Everything in their menu will blow your mind. My favorite are the duck nachos. The ingredients are super fresh and you can tell everything is made in a very detailed way. It is worth making your way to Frank Grizzly's to try a different take on Mexican Food. You will not regret making your way out here. Another amazing gem hidden in the Bayview.

My husband was set on trying this spot after seeing it on a foodie's IG. He called in our order and did a quick drive by to pick up on rainy Saturday. We got the breakfast quesadilla with birria meat and the grizzly quesadilla with birria meat. The taste of the food itself was amazing: meat was tender and flavorful and the cheese ratio was on point. For a name like Frank Grizzly, I'll be honest that I was expecting large bear-ish portions, in which both our orders were lacking. I'm not much a heavy eater but I felt like I could eat another section of quesadilla if there was any! My husband was disappointingly still hungry so I gave him a portion of mine. The place is located in a cleaned up area of SF, so if the weather was better, I'm sure it's a nice walk to other places to grab dessert since you'll have room!

Super delicious tacos! Their roasted duck and quesabirria tacos were my top favorites. The duck was oh so flavorful and tender, while the quesabirria had just the right balance of juicy spice and savory cheese. Everything down to the chips and guac here were fantastic. To top it off, the service here is over the top amazing. Everyone on the staff was so incredibly friendly. They made me feel like I was home. I highly recommend a visit to Frank Grizzly's!

Wow, I would give them a Michelin star. Bomb AF. The greeting and the service on point, the ambiance welcoming and full of plants and felt good eating in there.

Tacos El Patron is still my go-to spot for birria tacos in the city…read more Food: I first discovered birria tacos during the pandemic and went on a mission to find the best one. A coworker recommended this place, and now I recommend it to everyone. What stands out is the balance--everything is done well. The meat is rich and flavorful, the tacos themselves are just as good, and the consommé ties everything together perfectly. I've tried places where one part is strong but something else falls short, but not here. You also get free sides like onions, cactus, radish, and beans, which make the meal even better. I've been coming back ever since, and I can easily finish three tacos in one sitting. On my most recent visit, I had two birria tacos and tried their birria ramen. It was surprisingly good--comforting and flavorful, more like a homemade dish than anything instant. For drinks, I've tried all their jugos, and the jamaica is the standout--get it in a large. Service: Friendly, efficient, and straightforward. Orders come out at a good pace, and the staff keep things moving even when it's busy. Ambience: The space has a Frida Kahlo-inspired design, which adds character and makes it feel lively and unique. There's one restroom available. Parking: Parking can be a bit difficult in the area, so expect to walk a little--but it's worth it once you get your food. If you're serious about finding a really good birria taco, this is one to try.

Tacos El Patron is worth the effort to figure out where to park, etc. it's not quite a hole in the wall, but it definitely is on the smaller side, and we ended up getting food to go because it was just easier. The birria quesadilla was a total surprise. It was FILLED with a very generous amount of meat. The meat was tasty, lightly seasoned, and the portion truly is a shareable. We asked about the consommé and I don't know if they just forgot it or what happened but we never got to try it. The shrimp taco was tasty and absolutely filled with again generous amount of shrimps. Ironically, it wasn't my favorite. It just was lacking the level of flavor that I really wanted. The Carne Asada was mediocre at best and not something that I would order again. The winner out of the numerous items that we ordered was the pork belly and the Al pastor. Between the two, the Al pastor is the one that you want. Incredibly well seasoned, a nice hint of light spice, the meat was juicy and tender, and the combination in the taco was outstanding. Seriously so good that my mouth is watering just thinking about how tasty it was. The chips were nothing to write home about, and I didn't really care for salsas that came with the meal. Really reasonably priced, generous amount of food, and absolute worth the push in enjoying their food! Diners tip: there seems to be a description in cost between ordering online versus in the restaurant and you may get a better deal ordering online
