Kind of tucked…read moreaway off the main road and if you didn't know to look for it you probably wouldn't find this gem. This park offers a lot of amenities. A very cool playground, tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball fields, a walking trail, gazebo sitting and most shockingly of all a full blown skate park. Who knows maybe the next tony hawk is practicing now in small town mount Washington? Took my 4 daughters along with some friends here for the fist time ever today. My one year and six year old loved the playground and swings. Played for hours. My two older daughters tried out the state of the art skate park. Which I was shocked how elaborate it was. In the whole metro Louisville area I can only think of one other skate park and that is in downtown Louisville. They had a blast there. They borrowed a friends skateboard and they really took a liking to it. I've already been sent Amazon links from both of them asking for a skateboard so I'm sure I'll be back here once that happens. I enjoyed sitting back and relaxing and watching them have fun. Plenty of spots to sit and relax and an easy small concrete walking trail that circles the park amenities and beautiful landscape. Very impressed by this park. Very well upkept and lots of cool and fun activities for all ages. We will absolutely be back to This hidden gem several times. Absolutely worth checking out!

Attended a 80's theme free summer show at this park. More shows are coming up (see picture) that…read morestart at 6:30 pm. The MTV band played multiple sets with 15 minutes breaks in between. People sat on lawn chairs and park benches to enjoy the music. Some people walked the trails as kids rode bikes. There were food trucks and other vendors selling various offering from pizza, burgers, and more. Enjoyed hearing the music and we parked in baseball fields directed by staff. The show played til 10 pm. It was a blast from the past.

This is such a clean, medium-sized park that is located next to the police station off the Outer…read moreLoop. The park has something for everyone: basketball courts, a soccer field, baseball field, tennis courts, a playground for children, and my favorite- a 0.7 mile paved walking path with 2 loops. Benches and picnic tables are scattered throughout the park. There is even a 'little library,' a bring one-take one deal. There are restrooms within the park, but they were closed for the season during my visit. The park was very well maintained and I felt totally safe there. I understand that there are frequent events held within the park in the warmer months. Our navigation app took us to the front of the park, so we parked in the police parking lot, assuming the park did not have parking of its own. We later learned that the park has a large parking lot. It is located behind the park, and is accessible from a nearby road. What a great place to relax and unwind, or to bring children to play.

For those in the unknown a arboretum is a place where trees, shrubs, no herbaceous plants are cultivated for specific and educational purposes. Which is exactly what this place is. It also has a few nice benches and a cool monument/statue called "Our Deer Brave". I usually stop in here when visiting the mount Washington city park that is tucked behind the baseball fields and behind the school. The awesome park has a walking trail that loops into the baseball fields. From there I caught a glimpse of this cool little area that was created and dedicated by the students of the elementary school. So usually on nice days I'll make the stroll and come in and relax here for a bit. Overall cool and unique area to check out. I love little local hidden gems and this very much fits that description.

I never knew it was there and I've been to Mount Washington elementary school a lot of times over the years. And I was pretty surprised to see this but it was really neat they had a lot of cool trees everywhere they had nice statues and dedications to people and just a lot of neat sheds and little buildings and different things to really walk around and look at and we played hide and go seek they are around the statues and different things so me and my family had a really good time so we enjoyed coming up here and doing bike rides and walking around and seeing all the nice sights

There are also tennis courts, basketball courts, pickleball, and other sports fields. Bravo to all those that contributed in the vision and buildout for this place as it was long overdue for the community but such a great use of tax revenues.

The facility has several soccer fields, baseball fields, a nice upgrades playground and even and outdoor fitness center for the community. I've taken the kids here a few times to play on the playground and recently went here to watch my daughters friend soccer game. Really nice facility to host sporting events with ample enough parking and wide open spaces. Overall a very nice addition to the mount Washington community and a very fine place to either play and relax or take in or participate in a sporting event.

(stated by her herself) "Its baseball, kids get hit" "we're both not gonna agree on anything" "I'm missing my granddaughter game" the list goes on but I have realized how unprofessional at just public communication about concerns of any of the players if they are hurt or what is really going on her fields that she claims that she is the boss around there! I just don't know how organization such as that one still operating with such a foul leader just like any other company in the world. They all will continue to have their downfalls and voices will never be heard of the true concerns from parents.. ps my boys have autism so just let that soak in as parent so I don't recommend this place at all.

This is our favorite park to go to as a family. There are tables and plenty of seating to watch play (but play with them too!). There's a big open area for lawn games and also a splash pad with more seating and a pavilion you can rent for parties. All things enclosed and pets or bikes are not allowed. In addition to this there is a massive lawn to play things like soccer or other sports, great paved walking or biking paths and it even goes into the woods where you can play in the creek. There are plenty of great trails here, paved and dirt, and a hand-full of fun geocaches if you download the app. Very amazing park!
