Very large indoor complex that southern high school and okolona baseball share for there baseball…read moreteams and other aau baseball teams. My nephews aau team Louisville makos does there winter indoor baseball practices here and my second oldest daughter recently started doing private tumbling lessons with a gentleman named Andre there. The facility itself was built at least in the last 15-20 years. I attended southern high school in the late 90s/early 2000s and we didn't have a nice facility like this around. So. I'm kinda low key jealous about that. This place had plenty of space, batting cages, some arcades, games and vending machines. Seems like a really cool and fun place for kids to learn and develop there skills. Was cool to learn they had a tumbling mat and a private instructor. The instructor here did great with my daughter and I could see Instant improvement before her first practice session ended. She is excited to come back and continue learning. Overall cool place. As I stated before I'm low key jealous they didn't have this place when I was growing up in the area or when I was a student at the high school.

Okolona baseball has been a youth league baseball league/rec area for a very long time. I was never…read morea baseball player but my brothers and a bunch of friends were and all played there while I was growing up. Located behind southern high school off Preston highway in the okolona area. This Organization has went through several changes over the years. For a long time it was at the corner of Preston and blue lick road just a rocks stone away from its current location. I'd say they moved the fields back and added the section around 2000ish during my early high school years. Very nice facility that has two private parking lots on each side of southern high school football fields. This organization is home to several babe Ruth/cal Ripken teams and aau travel ball teams ranging from tee ball age to late high school aged. Always a huge crowd with lots of teams signed up. Over the years they have kept the fields upgraded and have even added a playground on site. They like most ball fields do have concession stands and public restrooms. Over the last few years I have still made a few trips here because I have several nephews who place baseball. I actually have a nephew playing in a travel ball tournament there this morning. Still a very nice and fun place to take in a game. Lots of kids skills have been honed at this organization over the 30 plus years I've known it to exists and it looks like there is no stopping in sight. I was honestly kinda flabbergasted that this organization was not on yelp and there wasn't several hundred photos and reviews on it as well. It's a pretty well known youth league that pretty much every little boy or girl who has played tee ball/softball/baseball in the okolona area has played or practiced at this location.

I'm not sure who Miss Adkins is but she was popular enough in the area to get the local baseball field named after her. It has many benches and things to sit on to watch the local team play

Evans park is the athletic facility for mercy high school in Lousiville Kentucky located off…read morefagenbush bush road. The facility is very well maintenance and features a very nice soccer field with a track going around the field. The bleachers have seat back seating actually which I haven't seen at any other local Louisville high school athletic field. The rest of the facility has a few softball fields that also seem very well taken care of and the whole facility just seems very modern and updated. Features a beautiful brick clock tower as well. Overall a great place to take in or play an athletics game at. Very beautiful facility with comfortable seating and solid concession pricing and options. Mobile ticketing available through an app as well.

This is such a clean, medium-sized park that is located next to the police station off the Outer…read moreLoop. The park has something for everyone: basketball courts, a soccer field, baseball field, tennis courts, a playground for children, and my favorite- a 0.7 mile paved walking path with 2 loops. Benches and picnic tables are scattered throughout the park. There is even a 'little library,' a bring one-take one deal. There are restrooms within the park, but they were closed for the season during my visit. The park was very well maintained and I felt totally safe there. I understand that there are frequent events held within the park in the warmer months. Our navigation app took us to the front of the park, so we parked in the police parking lot, assuming the park did not have parking of its own. We later learned that the park has a large parking lot. It is located behind the park, and is accessible from a nearby road. What a great place to relax and unwind, or to bring children to play.

My big self is too large for it but my children and my wife enjoy it. Great nice new park highly recommend a five out of five stars we will be returning numerous times.

The whole facility located next to the local police station features baseball fields, full court basketball courts, tennis courts, a public swimming pool, a spray ground and a spacious and shaded playground. When I was younger in my early to late teens I'd come up here and play some full court outdoor basketball as there aren't too many places in that area that offer the ability to play full court. As I've gotten older I've taken my kids to the nice playground when In the area for practices and events for the kiddos. Overall it's a nice and fun community park with lots to offer.
