We got our food very quickly and it was great! We had the vegan Caesar which was on point and the veggie pizza really hit the mark. As I probably said in a past review Purezza is a must try for the planet based eater!

Hello mate, thanks for following me mate, hope you enjoy my lond journey…read more . Before coming here I was doing research and had this on my list to go to. . I was staying in camden and after check in a quick snack is a must. After checking in, they still offer the lunch special. Lunch special consist of 15 pounds. Which includes a drink of choice, mini 7 inch personal size pizza, and a appetizer . I tried the Black Truffle Elack truffle base, Mozzellà, Shamembert, wild mushrooms, parsley. ( the dough was airy and light. The crust was thin. It was a delightful Bite which I wish it was endless bites. The truffle wasn't too strong, yet flavorful.) . pomodori Pachino ( a little heavy on the salt, if it was a bit lighter it would have been great. The tomatoes was excellent. I really love the fresh flavors. This I would get over and over.) A must-have dish composed of stunning tomatoes from Sicily and our homemade Straciazza. . I think this is one of the best pizza I have tasted in a long time. I prefer this over nyc pizza, let's just say or as good it gets. If you find this review helpful please give me a like and vote this review. Thanks for reading and have a yelptastic day. Cheers mate.

Veni, vedi, pizza! I…read morehadn't been to the original Pizza East location in Shoreditch, but I sure had heard about it. Now, I'd also heard many things about this location in Kentish Town, especially in junction with Dirty Burger (next door) and the Chicken Shop (underneath); apparently they all belong to the Soho House Group and as much as I dislike these "big" conglomerates, I have to say that these folks know what they're doing. (I've been to the Soho House in Berlin a few times and really loved it!) Anyhow, I came here for lunch and we had a really nice time. It was surprisingly busy for a Thursday lunchtime (especially given it's non-central location), but the waiting staff was on top of it and we felt well-taken care of all along the way. I browsed the reviews of my predecessors and decided on the Porchetta pizza. My other half went for the veal meatball pizza. We also ordered two veggie side dishes: wilted spinach and gem salad (gem, broad bean, courgette, caprino). The pizzas were both delightful - both the porchetta and the veal meatballs were superb toopings (Porchetta, by the way is a "savoury, fatty, and moist boneless pork roast of Italian culinary tradition" according to Wikipedia). The gem salad looked rather boring, but they added lemon zest to it, which spiked it up quite nicely. At the end of our meal we also got invited to join the Pizza East "keyring club" - upon presenting this keyring (see picture), you get a 50% discount for the entire party at lunchtime on certain days of the week. I mean, this is a great deal...especially as the prices are not cheap and a discount like this would make me plan a visit again!

I had an awesome time at Pizza East. We arrived on a Saturday night expecting to be haughtily…read moreturned away or told it was a 1h30 wait (given my previous Shoreditch experience) but instead we were ushered to some seats on the bar overlooking the kitchen, right in front of two hilarious Italians making pizza overseen by the world's calmest head chef, whose slight smiles/shakes of head kept the production line going phenomenally quickly. It was incredibly entertaining watching their interactions and the different characters - the young mischevious guy rolling out the dough an occasionally burning pizzas and then being admonished by the looming bearded desserts guy (head chef just gave slight shake of head, which seemed to scare young guy way more). Oh yes...the food. I thought the burrata was exceptionally good and could have eaten several more platefuls, in fact I did suggest ordering it for dessert.. However I was glad we went for the doughnut (cooked in the pizza oven as we watched) and salted caramel tart because both were also outstanding. The combination of tart sweet chocolate and salty caramel was perfect, and the dough on the doughnut was as fresh, sweet and tasty as any I have had. The pizzas themselves were also very good, we originally planned to share but then at them all ourselves which is probably a pretty good indication of hwo much we enjoyed them. The menu really has an appealing range of options and they're a good side if on the expensive side. Overall a great night, nothing like dinner and a (surprise) show. Would definitely return if in the area, it's a particularly good combination with a stroll up Parliament Hill. Fun times.

I'll save you details on my first experience with British pizza, some 20 years back, in Manchester…read more Let's just posit that, as a general rule, I wasn't anticipating a good pie in the United Kingdom, period. Franco Manca blew away my terribly low expectations and managed to rank up there with some of the better pizza I've ever enjoyed. A few basics, first. Lovely restaurant, much larger than it appears, good for groups in the back. The streamlined menu and seasonal specials amount to the selection of your average food truck: pizza, salads and sides, with great options for vegans/vegetarians, but you're here for pizza, that's your mission. Naturally, the beer/wine menu is simple as well, I enjoyed the Montepulciano. The crust on these sourdough pies are worthy of big smiles, soft and stretchy, a Neapolitan consistency. And because I could, I did: Described by our server as the "carb monster", I ordered the #3, simply because I really wanted to experience a pizza loaded with stilton cheese, potatoes and lamb sausage. And no, it wasn't great, but it wasn't bad, and it completely wiped away a terrible memory, 20 years back, of Manchester.

How ever today was different, the food was good but the staff were so so so loud, in the kitchen they were playing separate music from their phone mixing with the music playing in the over head speakers. The restaurant was empty, I was the only one there with my dad. somehow I still felt very over stimulated as the staff gathered close to our table and were also talking very loud, banging pizza boxes against the counter, being so loud when making coffee and cleaning the coffee grounds from the machine it made a loud banging noise. I found the whole experience unprofessional as I have worked in a restaurant similar to franco manca and I was always instructed to be more quiet when working. I don't usually post reviews of a restaurant but maybe I thought this could help them in the future!

Slightly above average mass-produced pizza…read more We were hungry, new-to-the-neighborhood, and looking for something easy to eat. This was an 8-minute walk from home and so we tried it out. We got a plain Margherita for the kids and a half Funghi di Bosco/half Calabrian Feast for us. Overall, the pizza was just OK. The sauce/dough combination was a bit sweet and nothing of the core ingredients stood out. I'm not even sure our Margherita had any basil on it. The thing that stood out the most was the Calabrian Feast, where the chili and hot honey blended together to mask/improve some of the sweetness of the base pizza. The Funghi di Bosco pizza was also just OK without any really stand-out flavors. The mushrooms added some oily notes and a bit of texture, but not enough to really change much.

awful pizza!!! why? first, no cheese and nothing else!!! price: at £13.40!!!…read more i am used to watching regularly the pizza reviews of dave portnoy on the youtube channel called "one bite pizza reviews". they are pizzas he tastes mostly in the us. so i decided on 08/04/2024 in the evening to try in london at pizza express at belsize park and i chose the cheapest pizza called margarita at £13.40, supposedly a big size when it is in fact an average size, not a big size at all. the big problem? no cheese at all and i really mean it!!! the rest, the supposed tomato sauce, is also nonexistent!!! you are left eating a dough that is not even cooked properly!!! and all that awful pizza for £13.40 when i could have bought, in my area, an entire chicken for £7.50 where at least i do get to buy the main food for a chicken that is chicken!!! it is the last time in my entire life that i buy a pizza in london!!! i will have to wait to travel to the us to buy a real pizza, one where you can really feel the cheese when you eat your pizza!!! it was like being robbed of £13.40!!! i would not even have given this pizza to my worst enemy or to my dog!!! honestly, the people working at this pizza express really thinks their customers are "willing preys" ready to be robbed!!! i rate this pizza express at belsize park (nw3) zero out of ten, not even one. any rating for this pizza express that would be above two is a fraud meaning it is not from a real customer!!! or they start putting cheese only when you buy one of their expensive pizzas even though at £13.40, i consider this price a theft for what i got, that is nothing except a dough that was not even cooked properly!!! do not censor this review. i will check regularly to make sure it has not disappeared!!!
