John came over to replace the shattered French door glass, and he did an amazing job. He was extremely professional, careful, and truly caring throughout the entire process. His installation work was excellent, and he took great care to clean everything up afterward. I really appreciate his attention to detail and the pride he takes in his work. Highly recommend John for his outstanding service. read more

Seamless, well coordinated and very neat work. The two young men who fitted the doors worked with such care and precision. Pleasant interactions and quick responses. Our new bathroom looks perfect with well placed glass doors. Would definitely recommend Franciscan to friends who are remodeling their bathrooms. read more

I needed a local shower door company to make an adjustment to my shower door. I was quoted a 2 hour minimum charge and a 50% deposit on that. Fortunately I used another shower door company. They charged a minimum of 1 hour and the job actually took about 30 minutes. They responded quickly and did a great job. Franciscan will not get my referrals. read more

Big warehouse of huge sheets of glass that can be cut down to your specs. Really nice friendly guy working there, wish I could remember his name... Going back next time I'm in the area and bringing a bigger budget with me! read more

Very prompt, friendly and responsive. The price was fair and quality of the work was great. I will use them again if our windows need replacement in the future. read more

DO NOT USE - wrong measurement resulted in shattered glass. We called Franciscan based on a contractor recommendation, they were polite and came to take measurements. The glass came and they replaced our sliding glass door glass, but then just 2 weeks later it shattered. I had another company measure and confirm the sizing was incorrect and they failed to place padding near the door handle. Franciscan would not offer to replace despite their faulty installation so we needed to go with another vendor who did it correctly and faster, I would not recommend Franciscan. read more

Franciscan Glass - Faulty installation due to incorrect glass sizing and poor workmanship - Glass & Mirrors Near Me - Mountain View, California

I recently had to replace the shower doors in my bathroom. My contractor recommended using Franciscan. I have used them in the past but didn't realize that they now were experts on shower and bath glass. Everything went very smoothly from measurement to installation. It all happened in a timely manner and it was very clear that they really understood their business. They answered all of my questions and everyone I spoke with was courteous and pleasant. Jeff and Steve did the installation and did an excellent job. They were very professional. The doors were custom so it wasn't a simple installation. I could not be happier with the result. My contractor told me that if he had to deal with the installation, it would have cost at least as much or more than using Franciscan. That would have been with recycling the old doors so the choice was an easy one to make. I highly recommend them. I only wish I knew about this earlier as I had to get new shower doors for another shower and am much less happy with the result. read more

Very good service. I have order a clear glass for the table top. The measurement is very accurate, 100% fit. Ready for pickup within 3days. Highly recommend. read more

They are great. If problems arise they take care of it. I have worked with them for many, many, years and have never had a problem that they didn't step up and take care of. Anyone who says different, has to be a complete jerk!!!! I would and do recommend them to clients and friends. Thanks Franciscan glass! They are very competitive and their pricing shows it read more

I love Franciscan glass. I am a newbie hobbyist of stain glass. I come here on multiple occasions for supplies. The staff is always friendly and helpful while exercising safe COVID regulations. I had another project putting a glass sheet on a table, and they were the first person I called. Here's to a great small business that is a special place for hobbyists like me. read more

Excellent service from the beginning to the end and on all level, office and on site. Thank you Jesse and all the others working in the back and we do not see. We used them to replace our wall to wall 8"x 5" bathroom mirror. In short, they are awesome and I would use them again for any glass work. Super precise, efficient, excellent result and amazingly punctual. For a competitive price. Love the experience. A professionalism like this save so much time to all and is a no brainer. read more

I grew up in this neighborhood and we always used Franciscan Glass when ever the need arose. Yesterday I needed a replacement pane for one of the windows in my rental house and knowing that many other glass sellers have closed over the last 15 years, I went back again. The staff was great as always and the glass was ready first thing this morning. Yes, the prices have gone up, but the last time I bought glass was about 20 years ago. I would imagine that when the glass I replaced was new, it was an order of magnitude cheaper! (Early fifties). Haha- such is life! Seriously, though- these folks are great! read more

In September 2022, as part of renovating two bathrooms we chose Franciscan Glass to provide a new Shower Stall as well as sliding doors for the bathtub. My contractor had wanted us to go with a vendor in the South Bay. But being a long time resident of San Antonio Road & Palo Alto I wanted to get a quote from Franciscan Glass though I expected them to be too expensive for me. Surprise! they were very competitive and I knew their quality would be better than any south bay shop. The service, starting with Laura at the office to Jesse who came out to measure, to the installers, was excellent. They were clear with what they would do and did exactly what they said they would do. They also use top quality CR Laurence hardware. We are very happy with our choice. My contractor was surprised too ... and I convinced him to ask Franciscan Glass for a quote next time. If I had to do it all over again, I would take Jesse's advice and get the factory applied coating for the glass. Would have saved us a lot of glass cleaning in the years to come. read more

I called Franciscan Glass after my sliding glass door had been smashed in due to a break in. The woman who answered the phone told me that they were very busy, and would not be able to help me until the following week, but after I explained my situation, she kindly said she would send someone out within the next couple of hours, and she did! The glass man removed all of the broken glass, including what was on the carpet and the patio, and made it very easy for the plywood to be installed until the glass could be delivered. He spent at least 2 hours making sure that everything was done well, no rough edges, etc. Within 6 days, the glass was replaced. I am very happy with the courteous and professional service provided by Franciscan Glass. read more

Y'know when you find a shop that does exactly what you need and the people are really helpful? This is one such place. This place has a great showroom with lots of neat samples to look at while you wait. I want to put more glass on more things because of this place :-) I needed some pieces of glass trimmed on one side to fit a project. I tried Tri-City Glass, who told me it'd take two hours to "grind down" and practically hung up on me, and I tried A1-Glass in Sunnyvale, who looked at it and were afraid that it was tempered and that they'd break it. A1 referred me here and I couldn't be happier. The woman at the desk was nice and helpful, and the other guy, Danny Bibo (I got his card) helped as well. They made sure it wasn't tempered (they borrowed my polarized sunglasses) and said, sure, we'll run it through the polisher on both ends. Danny did so, measured it for me, and I was happy. Ten bucks. Awesome. The woman was happy to quote me on a custom-cut piece of glass in case mine *was* tempered, and the price was indeed reasonable. They also cut plastic (acrylic or lexan, not sure) but only in rectangles -- they don't do patterns. read more

First off this place got me what I need in the timeframe they stated, no problems. So, it is great for glass that you can't find easily cut too. The only issue is the phone attendant who was somewhat short. But they really wanted to overdeliver, I think. Anyway I will go back here in all likelihood as needed. read more

Franciscan Glass is a truly wonderful company. Everyone who works there is lovely, and I couldn't be happier with the customer service. As an architect, I spec a lot of shower glass and mirrors for my projects. Franciscan is our go to company. Their level of professionalism and customer care cannot be beat. Danny (one of the owners) is always available to me and has always handled any issues that come up quickly and efficiently. I have dealt with other glass companies around the Bay Area to my great dissatisfaction, and will never go back now that I have had the great pleasure of working with Franciscan. As someone who purchases a great deal of glass, I cannot recommend Franciscan enough. You will not be disappointed. read more

Blake came to our house on time and fixed the glass perfectly. He was kind and efficient and went above and beyond to restore the window and even clean up the broken glass! The office at Franciscan was a pleasure to deal with and was efficient. They also were able to help us almost immediately. They are the best! read more

I was moving some furniture and nicked a picture which caused it to fall and break the glass. I took out the picture and damaged glass and took the empty frame to Franciscan Glass for a replacement. This way I would know I got the correct dimensions which as always would save me a trip. The nice lady that waited on me gave me some glass options for the replacement. I chose to go with the most inexpensive option which only cost me $8.59. They cut the glass and wrapped it up in nice brown butcher paper for me. When I got home I cleaned the glass and put the frame back together. Great service and price! I would highly recommend Franciscan Glass for your glass needs. read more

So I had rather large hallway mirrored slide door (1of3) and a bedroom wardrobe mirrored slide door (1of2) both mirrors had cracks. I used Ezequiel Reyes (408-469-1263) to help me work with the company and contracted him to help repair the doors. He is well known to them and gave us a discount thanks to him. Citlalli at Franciscan glass was great. Very professional, versed in the trade and very helpful. My mirrors were ordered and installed in the old housing at Franciscan Glass onsite shop within 2 week time period. Ezequiel brought the doors back and re-installed them back into their original carriages within 20 mins after pick. This is what I call team work. Hassle free and a very satisfied customer. I highly recommend them and keep them for future work. read more

I could see light through the sides of my old storefront door, and water was leaking through it. I spoke with several companies, but Kevin Furtado at Franciscan Glass helped me to decide whether or not to repair or replace it. He gave me a very fair price for replacement, which even included a mail slot that we needed. Our decision was clear. We replaced it. Kevin had the door ready, and a technician named Doug installed in within the week. Now I will not have to worry about cold air coming through, or water leaks. It looks great. Many thanks to Kevin, and to Doug, for a job well done. I will definitely recommend Franciscan Glass. read more

This place is great! They'll do anything, glass related, and even more. And the lady in front (Maureen, I think is her name), is SUPER helpful, very patient, knowledgeable, competent, just great. Compared to a glass company that I had to deal with in the past, Franciscan Glass is awesome. They are true professionals and know what they are doing. The people here are super duper helpful and friendly to boot. I was looking for a (hard to find, it turns out) glass sweep for my sliding glass door. Called Tri-Glass and they were incredibly rude to me. Stopped by here, described my problem, and the woman behind the counter told me they didn't have exactly what I needed, but that maybe they could provide something else? She gave me a sample of a shower sweep that I could test on my door. What I ended up doing was using double stick tape and taping two shower sweeps together to get the width I needed for my sliding glass door. When I was purchasing it, they told me the best way to put on the hi-bond double stick tape (it's really sticky). They were awesome. read more

My son kicked a ball though our garage window. It was privacy glass and the first quotes I got to fix it were over $300 for someone to come out, match the glass and replace it. I took a sample of the broken glass to Franciscan glass. They quickly identified the right replacement, and cut a piece exactly the right size. It took me an hour to fit it when I got home and the glass only cost me $40. Very nice people to deal with. read more

They came out to quote my place - 5 bathrooms.- worked with them on a revised quote as we narrowed down what we wanted. Right before we finalized it, I Noticed they missed a section of one of my bathrooms even though we spoke about that section and I saw him measure it. I asked him about it. Sent 3 follow ups after , called the store and left messages etc . No response. Waste of my time. I was on a tight timeline too, just having to constantly follow up was disappointing after I spent so much time with them already but I can't imagine the service if I did buy my glass from them and something went wrong. read more

I broke a small glass panel off a old fashion louvered window. I knew it was a small job and I was expecting either attitude or to be put on some backlog while bigger money projects took precedent. Franciscan Glass found the glass in their inventory and cut it to the size that I needed, all within 20 minutes of arriving. The price was very reasonable as well. The young woman was very nice and had excellent customer service, not only with me, but with other customers as well. She checked up on some previous customer to see how they were doing in the another room before tending to me. She excused herself and said she would only be one moment. You just don't see that level of customer service these days. Franciscan Glass has been around forever and I hope they stay around for another 25 years. I plan to use them again for future glass shattering catastrophes, big or small. read more

My contractor recommended Franciscan glass to replace the glass in our old bathroom windows. Their store had lots of samples to choose from and we found one that looked great. The installation was a little tricky, but their installer did the whole job in a few hours and left the site clean. The windows now look and work fantastic. Minus one star for scheduling (I'd take off 1/2 a star if yelp would let me). The staff was very nice and helpful, but it took quite a while to get someone to come out and measure and give an estimate. Apart from that, the experience was great. read more

They just installed two large swinging tub/shower doors and the quality and service was outstanding. They showed up on time each time and the installation was flawless. I got 3 showers installed by Franciscan glass. Thank you Danny Bibo, Jesse and Citalali for the best services and excellent installation. I went to Franciscan glass and there Danny helped me figure out the best prices for the shower doors. He also arranged for swift installation of the showers. Thanks to Jesse for the best service, and thanks to Citalali for always letting me know when the installer or measurement people would be arriving! Wish you all the best! Franciscan Glass installed my bathroom shower enclosure and really made my bathroom remodel complete. Jesse was prompt and professional, even suggesting an upgrade to the material I selected, diamond fusion, which makes the glass less green and offers protection against spotting. I would definitely recommend Franciscan Glass to anyone who wants a professional experience. read more

Stopped by here for a small, cheap, hard-to-find piece of hardware for my shower... they didn't have what I needed in stock (a similar item, instead) but they were very helpful to try and locate the correct piece through their catalog and computer. But I do appreciate their helpfulness!! read more

Most recently, I requested a quote for a custom piece of glass for a table top. After asking a few pertinent questions I had the quote in less than five minutes at a very reasonable price. About a year ago we were remodeling an upstairs bath which required a large piece of glass that could not fit up the stairs so it was hoisted over the balcony. In the process a small chip occurred on the corner. They immediately returned it to the shop, performed an expert repair and installed the glass later the same day. Danny was very helpful and knowledgeable during the selection and design process for that special piece of glass. Franciscan glass has been my go to place for excellent service for years and, of course, I will continue to be a very supportive customer. Bob read more
