Francis is one of very few full time professional magicians/mentalists in the Philadelphia area. Specializing in dynamic, customized corporate events for client appreciation, product launches, sales meetings, hospitality suites and holiday parties. Also for weddings, anniversaries, bar/bat mitzvahs, and other private events, Francis carries a proven track record of adding unparalleled class, wonder, and fun to events for the toughest of audiences.
History
Established in 2000.
Having developed his skills in sleight of hand since he was five, and performing part time since 14, Francis now works a craft that is 30+ years in the honing. After graduating from Penn State University with a degree in public relations and advertising, Francis moved to Philadelphia and started his own business of family entertainment. As the company (MenottiMagic) grew successful, Francis branched out and began performing for corporate events, university functions, major theatre productions, and magicians' organizations around the world.
In the past two years, Francis began consulting for major motion pictures (including the upcoming James Gray film, "The Immigrant," teaching actor Jeremy Renner magic). In the summer of 2013, he worked as "Magic Producer" on magician Dan White's new television special, "Spellbound," scheduled to air on the Travel Channel this year.
Finally, for the past year, Francis has performed around six continents as a magician on Six-Star Crystal Cruises.
Meet the Business Owner: Francis M.
Raised in Central PA, Francis has lived in Philadelphia for the past 13 years. As noted in the "Business History," he got started with magic at age 5 when his parents gave him a Fisher Price magic set. He never quite recovered. (Nor did they.)
Throughout high school and college (PSU), Francis thought he would chase his other passion of writing, eventually becoming a world-travelling writer for National Geographic. Instead, he now travels the world performing magic, meeting amazing people, and still writing for fun and profit.
His background/ interests include distance running (currently training for his 3rd marathon), cycling, rock climbing, camping, cooking, literature, music (played trumpet seriously for 10 years), stop motion animation, and English-style darts (currently captain of a Philadelphia darts team.
