He is very rude , condescending , unfriendly and unprofessional. He hung up on me, once I told him , I won't be taking my car there. Never got around to writing my first review, but after being involved in an accident and sustaining quite a bit of body damage, let me tell you that my first thought was Francesco. This is THE auto body shop. The guys keep you advised, they even have text msg system that sends you alerts as to the progress with your vehicle. The body work is phenomenal. My accident resulted in my entire left side having to be replaced. Both doors, front quarter panel, rear, bumper, rims refinished. My Pearl (CX5) looks brand new! Down to the pearl paint job which really had me concerned as its a multi-step process. Phenomenal work, phenomenal service. You will not be disappointed. My son recently was unfortunate to be the victim of 2 auto accidents. First and foremost no one was injured!!!! But as anyone knows, being the victim and getting the repairs done and the coordination with the other parties and insurance etc. can be quite stressful and unpleasant to deal with. In my son's case the both ere rear end accidents and he was in the car at the front. Steve and his crew at Francesco Auto body took care of all the repairs after the first accident. The finished product was great and he did all the coordination with the insurance company. The same night we picked up the car my son was rear ended again 5 hours later. Steve couldn't believe it when I called him the next Saturday morning. Even though it was a Saturday and he was getting ready to leave for vacation, he told me to come end so he could look at the damage. Long story short Steve and Francesco Auto body took care of everything. There is no substitute for great work and great people service. They have a client for life!!!!!!!! In May 2012, my 2003 Chrysler Sebring was hit by a garbage truck in Valhalla. I called by insurance company, Geico, and told them to tow my car to my regular mechanic/auto body shop, Central Auto Body Collision of Westchester, however, Geico bullied me and insisted my vehicle be towed at their contracted auto body shop which was Francesco Auto Body. The damage on the vehicle was the left front tire, the fender, driver side door and front bumper. The estimate for the damage was about $3900. The insurance company paid $3400 and I paid my deductible to the body shop. My vehicle was repaired at Francesco Auto Body. After being in the shop for 2 weeks, I finally picked up my car only to find that my driver door was not closing properly and there was a noise in the left front tire where it was hit. I called Francesco Body Shop and he specifically told me this was not related to the accident damages even though this was the side that was hit. They were extremely unprofessional and rude. In addition they basically told me they could not help me any further after being paid by me and the insurance company and not repairing my vehicle to the condition prior to the damages. I then called the Geico claim office who referred me to the adjuster who assessed the damage at the body shop. He was also not helpful and said it was at the discretion of the body shop. I decided to go back to my regular auto body shop where I originally wanted my car towed.which was Central Auto Body Collision of Westchester. The manager, Steve Saffrati, looked over the vehicle repair where the damage was and realized it was a bad repair. After Steve looked over the repair and compared it to the estimate, he found the following: 1. Francesco Auto Body repaired the front bumper and screwed the bumper with a sheet metal screw to the fender and used a "used fender." 2. The insurance company paid for a Michelin tire ($160) and Francesco Body Shop used a Milestar tire ($59). 3. Francesco Auto Body replaced the left front door with a "used door" from a 2000 year model. The door the insurance company paid for was suppose to be from a 2003 or newer model by New York State Insurance law. 4. There was a hole in my door hinge biller which was not repaired and that is why the door was not closing properly. 5. The insurance company paid for an alignment and balancing of the left front wheel and this also apparently was not done. 6. The paint was chipping on the door because they mask edged the "used door" with tape. 7. My power window main switch on the front door was broken and just glued together. After finding all the above, Central Auto Body recommended calling Geico for a supplement to correct this bad repair. Steve called for a supplement and an adjustor, Melissa, from Geico came to Central Auto Body. After she reviewed all of the bad repair, the first comment was "I would have totalled this car if I had initially looked at this car" because the damage was more than the value of the vehicle. She was unable to make a decision because she said that the vehicle was Francesco's responsibility. I insisted on not going back to that greedy and horrible place and that I be taken care of at Central Auto Body. The Geico supervisor, Kevin, finally came to Central Auto Body and it was decided to total my vehicle and I was paid $3600. After this experience with Francesco Auto Body and Geico, it is important that the insured know that IT IS YOUR RIGHT TO CHOOSE your own body shop for your repairs. IT IS AGAINST THE LAW for an insurance company to steer or bully the insured customer to their contracted shop. I would NEVER return or recommend Francesco Auto Body to anyone. They are rude, unprofessional and deceiving. read more
