For reference, I've paid between $45 for matting in a frame I already owned, and $100-$350 for complete framing depending on the size & quality of wood the frame. I always choose the conservation glass, which is their mid-level choice and a good deal. It's been hard to find a good frame shop in other cities, but not with this place in Bloomington. Highly recommended!

I got some of the best customer service I've had in recent memory at this store today. I needed a…read morefour-pack of foam boards, and experience had taught me that this item could be hard to find. So I made a quick call to the store to make sure it was in stock before making the drive. I was quickly transferred to the head of that department, who went and checked, then told me that yes, they were in stock, and quoted me the price. After arriving and finding my pack, I made a point to ask if the woman stocking shelves was the same woman I'd spoken to on the phone. She was, and I thanked her for her help, and we chatted for a bit. She told me she was glad I found everything ok and asked if I came to the store often. I told her that I generally make it to Michaels once a year when it's time to enter my state fair photos. She told me that she shops there even on her days off. At checkout, the pack rang up for higher than the quoted price. When I questioned this, the cashier not only made the point to check the price, but found a coupon, making it cost even less. Everyone I dealt with at this store went above and beyond, all for a once-a-year customer spending less than $10. I'd highly recommend this store for the customer service, non-crafty though I may be.

Good with a variety of media: prints and original art, fabric, photography, tapestry, or even personal items (for shadowbox-type framing). Not saying I'd trust them with framing exceptionally valuable originals or one-of-a-kinds, but they've done a good job with several delicate and / or damaged items. Prices are...well, framing is expensive, especially if you want it done properly. They're not out of line with what I've paid elsewhere, and they do what they say they're going to do. They are, though, no longer located on Ring Road (and haven't been for around 2 years, even though their website hasn't been updated).
