Don't get me wrong, they do great work and can take of all your framing needs, but their customer service is despicable. I work for a business who has done lots of work with these guys. We typically asked to be invoiced so that our finance department can track payments and accounts. The net turnaround time is (and has always been) 30-45 days. No matter how often I/we have explained this to Rochester Picture Framing, they will call you incessantly to try and get payment. And, to boot, they are very rude about it. This last time was the last straw for us. We will no longer be doing business with RPF ever again. It's not worth the harassing phone calls.

I had a great experience with Great Frame Up. After my brother gifted me a vintage Rochester map, I…read morewanted to frame it to hang in my living room. Since it was a weird size, I couldn't find something from a standard store and knew I would have to custom frame this. I heard recommendations for this place, so I decided to give it a try. I went in on a weekend day and there were two ladies working, Lauren helped me. We talked through framing styles and what would look best with the other woods in my living room (I took pictures so we could match colors). We went with a deep brown - very simple, no embellishments. They have different levels of glass that go with each - regular clear glass, anti-glare, and museum grade. I went with regular glass and no matte. The more intricate things you add on or fancier styles of frame all cost more so consider that as you're planning your purchase and they'll give you quotes on the differences in pricing to find out what fits your budget and what you want the end result to be. I paid in advance in full, but there was an option to do just a deposit if that's up your alley. I came back a week later to pick up the finished print and was so happy with the end result. If you're planning to get something framed for a gift (especially during the holidays), plan ahead as it takes a few days up to a week to do the framing.

This is an awesome place to come abd look around because there is SO much cool stuff to see but I…read moream reviewing this as a wedding venue. I was in a wedding there this past weekend and everything went so smoothly. The getting ready areas were very fun (the men got ready in the Firehouse toom and the girls got ready in the Marilyn Monroe room). The only issues we had were that the lighting was too dim for getting ready - we remembered to bring a separate makeup mirror with bright lighting options which saved us. The outlets were also difficult to find. It was a very cool and unique space to get ready in and the men were set up with a pool table in theirs. The wedding photos are not in yet but I just know that they are going to look phenomenal. We took photos in many different places around the venue (its huge) and I can't wait to see how they came out. Definitely more unique than youd typically expect for wedding photos! The bride had a positive experience with staff in getting everything ready and organized leading up the big day. Everything went as planned and it looked beautiful. Some exhibit pieces were in the way during the ceremony and they made arrangements to move them to make more space. The only issue we ran into was the heat. The AC was on but I dont think it was directed into the getting ready spaces, and when there were large groups of people around in the main room it was still too warm. Not a deal breaker but something to consider if being too warm on your wedding day is a concern for you.
