We came here to see Peter Pincus' ceramics show. The way they had the place laid out was ideal for perusing and each piece was better than the next. They get a cool mix of artists in this space so it's worth a stop if you're in the area or on your way back to Rochester following a few winery stops. They also have space upstairs, which features smaller pieces - lots of drawings and paintings hanging on the walls. On the first floor they have a very small store with some random supplies, books, knick knacks and gifts made by local artists including some jewelry on display. Whether or not this is something they do, it's a cool space for an event. I think they plan to host classes in the future which would be a nice addition.

I have been to 3 or 4 exhibits here in the past year (photography, watercolor, ceramics), and have been wowed by every one. They showcase a great variety of mediums, and there are usually multiple exhibits on display at a time, upstairs and down. They also have an artist in residence, and on our latest visit, we were able to meet him and get a first-hand introduction to his present project, which was really fascinating. I love to visit the gallery as part of an afternoon outing. Usually we end up spending an hour or so in the gallery appreciating all the exhibits, then we go across the street to Warfield's for lunch or dinner. Warfield's has great food, a focus on local beer and wine, and a changing, seasonal menu. It's a great way to spend an afternoon. The current exhibit featured in the downstairs gallery is of alternative photography and is definitely a must-see. As a photographer who practices several alternative styles (wet plate collodion, kallitypes, palladium printing, cyanotypes, tin types, etc) I was blown away. The subject matter, size of the pieces, different styles from photo gravure to cyanotypes to tin types, all of it is amazing. And coming up on April 1st, one of the featured artists (tin type master and alternative photography innovator John Coffer!) will have a free workshop, which is by reservation - so go see the show and sign up!

He rolled his eyes and told me "I have to pay the bills somehow and $2.15 per fax barely covers it." Needless to say, I will NEVER be stepping foot in Wink again.

A year ago, my husband and I commissioned an intricate wall piece from this amazing couple, Adam…read moreand Sarah Spector. The piece was designed to complement an existing canvas in our bedroom--to flank each side of the canvas with a "flowing" branch of a cherry blossom tree. The piece was a beautiful mixed media design; each tree branch was cut from stainless steel, and the surrounding flowers/petals were all ceramic. We met the Spectors at the October Sugarloaf Craft Festival in Gaithersburg, MD, and they completed the piece in time for their return to the November show. Both Adam and Sarah came to our house to install the piece, and all four of us had a great time collaborating on the placement of each individual flower/petal on the wall. The Spectors are both very warm and friendly people. It is clear that they are phenomenal artists, with a passion for pottery, that continue to bring innovative fresh designs to their handmade collection.

Avoid shopping Sunday's at all costs - Manager Melissa…read more I'm a weekly customer and avid comic collector who loves the treasure hunt here. For context, I stopped shopping on Sundays months ago due to prior issues involving Melissa (weekend manager) and another employee. After six months away, I tried again--same result. I also observed smoking within a few feet of the public entrance when I arrived. On 10/19/2025, I brought two early '70s Batman issues to the 5-items-or-fewer line with Melissa, who was visibly agitated and had just called for additional front-end help. She allowed a one-item customer to go ahead--no issue. During my checkout, she began picking at the price stickers, bending the books, and left nail marks on a cover. I politely asked her not to remove stickers--a routine request I've made many times here because it can damage older paper. She paused for ~30 seconds, then rolled her eyes and replied, "Suuuuuure" in a sarcastic tone as if to imply I was crazy. I declined the purchase and stepped away. She called after me that she would personally buy the books so "no one would lose out," then grabbed the phone, threatened to call the police, ordered me to leave, and banned me--in front of three cashiers and roughly 6-8 customers. I was also accused of "threatening/harassing," which was unfounded and embarrassing. I value this store, but the conduct today was unprofessional and needlessly escalatory--especially from a manager. I hope ownership reviews the footage, clarifies handling of collectibles (including sticker removal), and addresses customer communication and de-escalation.
