I have meant to write a review, so here goes because nothing ever came of it. I brought two…read morevintage original photographs to Karl for framing, One was framed nicely, but he lost my vintage, 1950's Roy Rogers picture, never to be seen again three years later. At first he was in denial of losing it. He looked throughout his shop for it, never to be found again. (He called it "Gene Autry," but it is an original black and white of Roy, printed on good quality paper, not a glossy knock off. His solution was to have me buy a knock off of the picture on ebay and he would pay for that. Surely, with the rise in value of the picture, he wasn't going to pay to replace it at that price. Meanwhile, I see that the value of my vintage picture continues to go up and it is somewhere in Karl's shop. If anyone sees it there, could you get it back to me? It's not as though I wanted any old photo framed by a professional. I brought a good piece to him with the intention of having it preserved and shown on my walls.

if I could give Jason zero stars I would. My experience with JMH construction was perhaps the…read moreabsolute worst experience I've ever had with a sole proprietorship and small business. I had chosen Jessica and Jason for a simple drywall and framing job. They expressed it was their first year in business and though communication to get the quote was a little off, I figured they were just busy like any husband and wife biz. Our kids played together nicely when Jason came to do the estimate and I thought I wanted to give my money to them. Come to find out even most of their reviews here and mentions on various groups are from family members.... Jason gave us a fair price and met our timeline. Which was two weeks to frame and drywall only so we could finish the rest before December. The goal was to Host my sons and daughters 5th and 3rd birthday party down in our basement. Needless to say we are almost two months past our deadline and still dealing with the mess and neglectful job Jason and crew performed. Jason was a no call no show 11 times Between November 20th December 28th. I would make arrangements for my 2 year old who still napped and my Mother to be out of the house when he promised to be here all day to knock it out. He would always have an excuse as to why he no longer could make it. "Rear ended someone, his phone died, etc." things happen but this was habitual-stating he'd be here all day and then never coming. The two week project is still unfinished at the end of January (3 months after deposit was given) and when given the opportunity to fix things I had concerns with-he blew me off with a million excuses yet again. The frame job was a nightmare. Nothing was barricaded and the sand and dust got everywhere including up into the main home upstairs. Everything I had in storage is a mess or has to be thrown out. I had asked several times if he would barricade but he never did. The crew knocked out our sump pump piping Jason never fixed it even though I reminded him 3 times. Theres missing studs throughout causing gaps in support and bubbling in the drywall. They didn't frame the wall flush with our door and we now have a wall sticking out about a half inch bc he didn't correct what his crew framed in. We have to figure out how to get the door and wall flush on our own. He then hung the drywall in areas not even flush to the ceiling, didn't fully sand the walls so I can't paint, cut out areas around dead outlets and walled in my humidifier so I can't use it. Jason was hardly here but he did hang the drywall which was really poorly done per the various contractors I've had come take a look at it. Perhaps one of my biggest issues outside of the consistent no call no show and dragging of his feet, was that after the drywall was mudded and sanded, they left us with the absolute biggest mess. Piles of drywall dust all over the floors, stairs, hand rails. I explained I was hosting Christmas and he blew me off to clean it promising he would be here, but left his saw here. Who does that? Who leaves the job site an absolute disaster when the home owner asks if you clean it and you promise yes but then blows them off and leaves their equipment. We had a massive duct cleaning bill and hours upon hours through the holidays of clean up. Finally in January I send the company a message and ask them to rectify the areas of concern. They had a death in the family so I had given them extra time to decide how they wanted to Proceed. He said he'd come fix all the areas I mentioned and it would only take a few hours. He blew me off three of the three days he said he'd be here, showing up for only an hour and making random cuts to an area we mentioned which weren't even in line with the studs. Overall this company caused me and my family more disappointed and headaches than I could ever expect. His lack of awareness of how a business should operate regardless of the amount of employees is astonishing. His communication is shady and shoddy as was his final product. I can't see them being in business for very long if they keep this way up. Shame on them for taking advantage of our kindness and flexibility. Stay clear of them.
