It seemed appropriate to present the scout with a plaque, so I set out to find a local shop to engrave a brass plate. The prices exceeded anything I was expecting, so I took to the internet and found Halex Awards. Their prices were almost half of any I could find near my home in Northern Virginia. Over the past 13 years, I have ordered a total of 19 brass plates from Halex Awards for use on military, scouting, and personal awards. In every instance, they have provided excellent and prompt service. In 2011, I made a mistake on an order, AND even after confirming it via email follow-up, David replaced the plate at no additional cost . . . he even shipped it (again) for free. Finally, in 2016, I decided to conduct another pricing comparison just to be sure I was paying a reasonable amount. I can attest that Halex Award's pricing is ABSOLUTELY the lowest I've been able to find. Reasonable cost, EXCELLENT service, provided promptly, and an end-product that is simply fantastic . . . what more can one ask?
