"YARN," I shouted and immediately spun to my right and into the driveway of what looked to be someone's house. Now, you probably think I'm some sort of hardcore knitting addict but that isn't the case. I just got back into knitting and am in the middle of knitting a pair of hand warmers for my brother's girlfriend. I bought yarn that was slightly thinner than the yarn I used to make my first pair of hand warmers, so it looked really "loose" on the needles. I wanted a slightly smaller set of needles but ran out of time before our trip. I sort of/definitely planned to stop at whatever yarn place there was to scratch that itch of feeling unprepared. So that's how we ended up at Playing with Yarn. I immediately found a set of size 2 bamboo needles for the insanely low price of $4.70. Granted these were not Clover's Takuma needles but they were bamboo and under five dollars. I took a look at the yarn - there is a pretty wide selection- before paying. I knit mostly in my school years, so any skein of yarn over $9 is pricey to me even if it's super nice merino wool, hand dyed, blah blah blah. It's a very small shop to be sure, but the owners are nice and the selection is good and decently priced. Also, if you go up to the second floor, there is a great view of Lake Superior!

Your mom is going to be expecting your usual outpouring of affection and gratitude- and for that, Siiviis has your back. While their online store may not be the easiest to use or search, it's packed full of gorgeous art, cards, and prints. We spent a little while scrolling through their offerings and decided on two beautiful prints to send to the mamas- one in Kansas, and one in southeastern MN. We ordered super early, figuring that there'd be a delay, but no- I got a personalized email from the Siiviis crew the same day, letting me know that the prints would be going out way ahead of schedule. Way to make Amazon look like slackers, folks! Plus: they gift-wrapped them! For free! And they're a local business! Y'all, in a pandemic when everything feels hard, these folks went out of their way to make our mamas happy- and I trust they'll do the same for yours.

So I called and asked them about getting a low profile expecting to have to pay because no one has good service anymore! To my surprise and delight, without hesitation I was told that they would send out a new low profile foundation on the next delivery! It came the following week! And this bed is so perfect now! Bri got my sister all set up with her dress which is the first one Bri pulled, Bri nailed it!!! We also picked out mine and my daughter's dress quickly and also nailed it perfectly we fell in love with the dress all the bridesmaids ended up wearing the same dresses with some color differences which looked gorgeous for the wedding!!
