I asked for an upgrade 1 week later, Christine stated no problem and booked upgrades, charged my credit card, then emailed confirming upgrades were "all set." 2 DAYS PRIOR TO TRAVEL, we picked up our itinerary - we were NOT INFORMED that the upgrade was no longer available! Travel agent, when confronted with the discrepancy, stated we could "Call her when we get to Jamaica" to see if the upgrade would be available THEN, and she would give us a Travel Agent number to put the upgrade through. So she CHARGED us for the upgrade that was NOT guaranteed...and expected us to request a REFUND IF we couldn't get it after we returned from the trip. Very annoying leaving little time to make alternative arrangements. NOT RECOMMENDED. In addition, she booked our party with separate seating and no notification of this - claims "All the airlines do that - you have to ask for special seating accommondations when you get there." Ridiculous. We booked with a travel agent to avoid these types of inconveniences.

We specifically advised her where we wanted to stay. We were given the run around numerous times when trying to reach her for our trip details. She never replied to email or phone calls, we were lucky if one of us heard back from her. She didn't "start" booking our trip until 4 days prior to us leaving. Our flight was paid for however our hotel was not. Mine ended up getting paid for the day I arrived from her because I had went to her house prior demanding she rectify the situation. The other 5 girls were not covered and had to pay again, even though they already paid in full. Numerous phone calls were made while on our trip and she assured us it would be taken care of. She never paid for the girls hotel or gave the money back. She is now being brought to court. Vacations are supposed to be fun and no worries. This was the worst experience I've/we've ever encountered and this is why I will be going back to booking my own trips.

Lorraine's knowledge of the area was extensive and she got us INCREDIBLE deals on flights and hotels. She was even able to accommodate special requests such as needing exit rows (my husband is very tall and needs the legroom for a long flight). As someone who had never used a travel agent before and always thought it may be cost prohibitive, I was wrong! Lorraine was able to keep us under budget so that we had extra money to do little excursion tours to the Roman Forum, the Vatican, and Pompeii (all bucket list places for me!). She also was able to advise when tours weren't really necessary - our trip to Capri was a good example - we were able to easily tour the island ourselves and take a ferry. Above all, she made it so easy - presenting options clearly and booking everything quickly. The itinerary she gave us to follow was top-notch and had all necessary contact info on it.
