The Dungeon area is not for fighting or roleplay and if you go in it might be a better idea to bring a partner. I've had comments and slurs thrown at me just to be told that unfortunately due to the single men paying as much as they do apparently they're isn't much they can do about it, which pretty much just gives every straight guy the right to call a queer person an f-slur. Not to mention this isn't the only thing that has happened that has made myself or many other of my friends uncomfortable. -100/10 do not go. They shouldn't even be allowed to promote at Toronto pride. Gross. Update: The fact that the club is trying to reverse the story back on the reviewer should be fact enough that they have things to hide. As a Genderfluid person I had attended this club on many times for many different events and ended up making many friends during my time there for the video game nights and the singles nights. During my time there I had a few encounters with some men that I had known from outside the club and was made to feel very uncomfortable by men who would literally say "Thats gross how they let this in here" to us being sexual with each other. When I approached the staff, i was told AND I QUOTE "Unfortunately due to the singles nights catering heavily to single and straight men there isn't much we can do about it" as if they had some form of sympathy towards my situation. As for the comments about MY behaviour? I was thrown out one night due to someone assaulting my friend and me asking questions about it when they wouldn't let me speak to them and the police arrived, which I think anyone would find a problem. When I later asked why the club had banned me after the incident above, they refused ANY response aside from that my behaviour made staff feel "uncomfortable" and refused to tell me any of the behaviour that I had been involved in. Sounds like a lot of deflection if you ask me. P.S: "Happy Pride - See you there" sounds kinda like a threat and I wouldn't endorse any company who threatens reviewers

The recipe for the original was simple, no booze sale and an all-ages tag meant that the original space was guaranteed to be a hit with the younger crowd who was happy to be allowed in at all. It turns out those same magical ingredients are alive at this new location. And the staff is the same too, with many having started at the original location back in 2001. They recently celebrated an anniversary so you know management has a good heart if they attract and retain great employees. Instead of the Silver Dollar Room being upstairs and the Co-Zo downstairs, this is all in a large basement space. The Silver Dollar is on the right and is small, narrow and reaches into the back where the DJ booth is. This is the licensed bar area. After bar hours are over, then people are ushered over to the left side, which is Comfort Zone and is all-ages and has no alcohol, but open until morning time for dancing. This is what makes the new CZ special, as it's a permanent rave. The hours are midnight to 8am on Friday and Saturdays until 10am. The bar is cash only CD or USD with an ATM in the corner which charges about $5 to get at your stash of cash. My friend who knows the owners was having a birthday party at this venue so we had a chance to take a sneak peek at the space deep underground without anyone around which was pretty neat, so check out my pics!

I have been in many other GTA's strip clubs but they have NOT been even CLOSE to Brass Rail and I have always returned there. You will know yourself when you be there. Pros: - You want beautiful dancers and being treated like a gentle(wo)man, Brass Rail is the place. - Almost NOTHING in this club (as far as I know) is determined to cheat you: they are doing their job so good. Cons: - Waitresses are are somehow polite but they are doing their best to sell more and more beers even after spending $40 there. - NOTHING: I just LOVE this place and recommend it to EVERYBODY

Right from the start, the door staff downstairs gave us a hard time and it didn't feel welcoming at all. The crowd didn't look good either. My friends and I went up to UpperBrass expecting at least some VIP treatment since we had to pay $30 at the door. It used to be $20, which was fine if the experience had improved, but unfortunately it felt worse. The bartenders looked inexperienced and distracted, most of them were on their phones, and one wouldn't even make eye contact while talking to us. For the price of admission, we expected much better service. There were hardly any people upstairs, so it was confusing why we even paid to go up. The dancers were aggressive and not like they used to be. Overall, it felt like most of the staff didn't want to be there. The only person who seemed genuinely nice was the doorman upstairs. We tried one of the VIP rooms, but the staff handling the payments seemed unsure about pricing and were more rude than helpful, which threw off the vibe completely. The dancers we had were okay, but it felt like luck more than anything. Some of the dancers mentioned another club called FYE, so we decided to go there after since they serve alcohol until 4am. That ended up being a great experience. They had fire aerial shows, the atmosphere felt upscale, and the service wasn't the best, but everyone was smiling. I would recommend going there instead. Even Filmore's gave better service, and the girls at both FYE and Filmore's actually seemed happy to be working.

Quoted From Toronto Star Article: The buildings at the…read morecorner of Bloor St. and St. Helens Ave. are unlikely neighbours. One has clients who worship the flesh, the other has the faithful who worship the lord. Every Wednesday evening, the small congregation at the Bloor Lansdowne Christian Fellowship serves dinner to 100 marginalized and homeless people. Next door, the folks at Club Paradise strip club serve up sexy dances. "They are good neighbours, they keep up with maintenance," says BLCF board member Stephen Mickelson as he stands in front of the two buildings. "Aside from several of their clients urinating at our front door, but their management probably isn't aware of that." When first asked about the interesting contrast with his neighbour, Mickelson replied in an email: "By contrast to our practices and beliefs, namely the exploitation of women, what happens next door to our Church can best be summarized by a quote from Martin Luther, to paraphrase: 'Where Christ builds a church, next door Satan put a temple.'" When asked the same question, the staff at Club Paradise hung up the phone, and when pressed, gave "no comment," as their official comment. In a wood-panelled room, Mickelson, his wife Sophie and a few volunteers are cutting buns for the Wednesday dinner service. The oven is broken and one fan moves the stuffy air around. Mickelson said there is mutual tolerance between Club Paradise and the church, even though values are different. "It's not a show here. We have enough money to pay the bills," Mickelson said of the church."We work through kindness and love. The people who work there, many may have had a hard life." The previous pastor at the congregation used to have a late night café for some of the women who worked next door. The program stopped when the pastor left the position last November. "Thursday nights, we'd open the front doors and some of the girls would walk in for crafts, coffee and tea," Sophie Mickelson said. Some of the dancers have also come in for church services, her husband said. The only reason he knows is because they tell him. "A generation ago, they might have been the exception. Now we're the exception. The Lord's Prayer is not in schools, but this is our heritage. Some people don't know what a church is," Mickelson said. "For where God built a church, there the Devil would also build a chapel...Thus is the Devil ever God's ape." - Marin Luther

One enters Club Paradise and you realize you are in for something different. The bizarre wrought iron stairwell, resplendent with medieval type shields, to nowhere in the foyer is a sure tip-off. You have to be 24 and up to enter Club Paradise. Above the foyer door, a sign reads, "No hats, no jerseys, no tank tops, no gang paraphernalia, no ripped jeans" A smart, strong looking Bartender (Milan) greets me as soon as I enter, the quality of service (and the dancers) is immediately apparent as top notch and I am made instantly welcome. "We try to differentiate ourselves from The House of Lancaster" he says, they have succeeded. Although smaller and a little less slick, Paradise is the choice for the discerning strip club patron at Bloor and Landsdowne. Milan prefers to think of the club as a slightly less expensive alternative to "For Your Eyes Only" or "The Brass Rail", with a full menu with mains at $8, (a basket of fries for $1!) and reasonable drink prices; I think he's right. The dancers are of similar quality to the aforementioned clubs, if not friendlier. Paradise has been operating on the storied Bloor-Landsdowne corner for ten years and the washrooms look like they have not been changed in that time,. Though clean, they could do with an upgrade. Still, I am not there to go to the loo and the modest bar and expansive semi-circular stage makes up for an out of date tile job in the gents. (Full review at stripclubnation.com)
