I honestly don't know where to begin when describing what an absolute godsend Candice has been to our family and our rescue pup Wally. She has been walking our dog since he was about 5 months old (he is now 2) and that time, Wally has had some rescue issues (high anxiety, shy, scared of people) that Candice has navigated like a pro. She is so fun and playful with him and seeing him so excited to see her makes us so happy. He is a border collie mix with more energy then even he knows what to do with and after walking with Candice he always comes home tired and happy. Outside of how great of a dog walker she is, Candice is also just a great person. She is kind, honest, responsible and ultra-flexible (she has taken Wally overnight on very short notice, has taken him on double walks etc.) which is so wonderful since I work in a job with a crazy travel schedule. For years, my husband and I were lucky enough to both be able to bring our dog to work every day, so we never had a dog walker. When that situation changed, we were panicked about trusting our "fur baby" with someone else. Fortunately, a friend gave us Candice's information and it has been a fantastic transition! I would be absolutely lost without Candice and Fox Walks! My dog used to go to doggy daycare but then I changed jobs and was leaving before doggy daycare opened. I was in search of an alternative and thanks to a friends recommendation I found Candice. I can't say enough good things about Candice. She has Carter out of the house for about three hours and he always comes back exhausted. After I started my new job, but before I found Candice, Carter was keeping me up at night wanting to play no matter how much I walked him in the morning and the evening. Ever since Candice started taking him he sleeps through the night. My dog is super attached to me! If I'm around he's usually glued to my side. However, I work from home occasionally and when I do I get to see how truly excited Carter gets to see Candice. The fact that he runs to her while I'm home makes me sooo happy! He does get a little confused and runs back and forth between the two of us, not quite sure who to go with. But I can't even tell you how wonderful it is to see my pup soooo happy to go out with Candice. It is such a relief to know that I don't have to worry while I'm at work and he's being taken care of. This review is WAY overdue. Candice has been walking our two pups (a pug with some special needs and an energetic Brittany mix) for over two years and WE LOVE HER! We met Candice through a neighbor in our building, right as her business was starting up and I've personally experienced the care, concern, and authenticity with which Candice has built her business. Candice is reliable, responsible, flexible, so incredibly kind, and a real partner when anything comes up with the dogs. She has a personal relationship with them and dogs can't lie...THEY LOVE HER!! I was so nervous to move to the city with two dogs and honestly, I don't know what we'd do without her. I don't normally write bad reviews but I feel like its my duty to say something for the sake of the dogs. We used to use Candice until we found out that she wasn't always taking our dogs out when she said she was, which breaks my heart knowing our big, young, energetic pups were home all day. (Thank god we have an open back door and garden.) We were first suspicious when we noticed our dogs had tons of energy when we got home unlike when she first started walking them. Then one day my husband decided to work from home and didn't leave the house all day - not for a second. He called me and asked if the dog walker was coming. I texted her asking if she walked the dogs. (seeing how we were already suspicious, I was curious what she was going to say.) She responded saying she had walked them and that they were great. Enough said. I was heartbroken and furious. (not to mention, she was obviously charging us too. but that was the least of my worries!) I then response and told her my husband had been home all day... she took 5 hours to respond and then said something about how she came but one of our dogs was having a fear problem about getting into the car so she decided not to take them....?? Again, that wouldn't make sense because my husband was home all day and 2. if one of our dogs was having a fear problem, I would want to know about it! Clearly we immediately fired her, ignored her last invoice and never heard from her again other than receiving an apology text saying that she felt horrible etc etc. All I can say is our poor dogs -- which is the driving reason behind writing this review as I don't like to talk poorly of people, but this is an experience that needs to be heard. I would like to finish by saying, I'm sure she's a good dog walker if she's actually walking your dogs. I just don't want any dogs out there to go though what our dogs went through. read more

Candice is truly the best! She has been walking my french bulldog Lulu for almost 4 years now! Lulu LOVES her days with Candice and the Fox Walk pack. Candice changes up her routine all the time....from walks in the Presidio, chasing balls on the beach or running around Chrissy Field, Lulu comes back happy, tired (and clean!) everyday she spends with Fox Walks. Candice is a dog parent's dream! She's been hanging with our pooch Brixton for nearly a year and has been nothing but prompt, communicative, positive and caring. Brix gets a great run every day and has really blossomed into a much more socialized guy because of the constant, unleashed interaction with other dogs. I love that Candice provides transportation (and the extra adventure of the car ride), with a variety of locations, adventures and ample sincere dog love. She's been kind enough to take him for boarding when we've gone out of town and not been able to take him, and her rates for boarding (AND walks!) are super reasonable. Wow. My husband and I were really in a pickle when our dog walker was unable to continue walking our dog due to the new regulations here in SF.
