Monica taught me how to test my blood glucose, how to portion meals and also is just as available for questions and motivation with my treatment. I called on 10/27/14 recorded I called on my phone that I called the office to make an appointment only to get a flu shot. I show up 11/07/14 on time and the front desk lady tells me she doesn't have my down on the schedule I was so upset. However, the nurse who takes my blood for me saw me in the waiting room asked why I was there. I told her she said nobody told her i was waiting for just the flu shot. She apologized and gave me the flu shot pretty fast. I felt happier but still it made my husband want to change Doctors because of it. The whole family was with me that day. We waited entire 30 minutes for me to get a flu shot, crazy day.

I knew I needed to find a medical professional to help me understand and manage my conditions (both of which were causing me some serious problems) and to address the root cause of the disorders, as I believed them to be related. I began seeing Dr. Trish Pearce in September 2017 and I continue to see her on a monthly basis. Dr. Pearce's expertise in the treatment of autoimmune digestive and thyroid disorders has been invaluable to me. I have followed all of her recommendations, including dietary changes and the use of high quality supplements. As a result, my thyroid levels have been within normal range since February 2018 and are being managed solely by myself and Dr. Pearce, without the use of pharmaceuticals. He listens to you and makes decisions that are in your best interest. Before Dr. Kassar, I had a childhood endocrinologist who just pumped me up with insulin and I continued gaining weight and my sugars were out of control. When I started seeing Dr. Kassar, he completely took me off insulin (because it is harmful and makes you gain weight) and put me on another medication regimen that worked perfectly and even helped me to lose 50lbs. I unfortunately cannot see Dr. Kassar anymore because of insurance differences, so I am forced to find another endocrinologist. But if it was up to me, I would continue to see him.
