Who would have thought that vitamin deficiencies could cause such horrible problems. Seems common sense, I know, but I'm pretty smart and I would have never figured it out without the diligence of Dr. Gopan. He is very confident in his work, which makes me as a paitent feel great and has a nice bedside manner. I never wait long to get into my appointments and it has never taken any longer than 20 minutes to hear back from his assistant when I have questions. I will note that I live over an hour away, in another state actually, and have no issues with driving to see Dr. Gopan. He has been a blessing to me, and consequently my family, and I truly am thankful to have found him.

Best decision ever, when I went to get my medical records which was $25 they gave me a very hard time and finally gave them to me but with missing a lot of my test results. So now I'm in need of a couple medical documents that they left out I went back to get my medical records and now they're telling me I owe them my balance before I could receive my medical records. While I do my research for a couple of days realized it is against the law to pay my balance in full in order to receive my medical records. When I called up there to inform them this information they finally told me I can just pay the regular fee to receive my records the problem is the fee before was only $25 now the fee when up to $200 this is not fair this is not right they totally just made up a price tag because they're not getting my balance in full. I plan on paying them a little bit at a time because I am not working right now but how do you make a fee of $200 for medical records when I just paid $25 for my medical records a couple years ago. Unfortunately I changed insurance and the doctors that were there that the nurse practitioner that I had worked under was not a part of their Network. So unfortunately since I had do all insurance I had to find one in Illinois. I'm sad because I did enjoy going there because they had activities to. But I'm going to go on and give a general review. Oak Street health is geared to those who are on Medicare. So they are very familiar with Medicare they do take their time. They now have a pharmacy on Prentiss where you can get your meds. For seniors who do not drive it is a blessing because this is the way they can get to and from their appointments. That's why I said unfortunately the doctors were not in my network. If it wasn't for that I'd still be there.

Lumbosacral root pain is unlike anything I've ever experienced. The ER staff were top notch and worked hard to relieve my pain and admitted me to find out the root of the problem. Every nurse, technician, assistant, doctor, specialist, etc. was attentive and helpful. It was a neurosurgeon who discovered that a screw in my lumbar area is touching my sciatic nerve. There is nothing to be done about it as it's too risky. However, we are going to do extensive rehabilitation to build the muscle around the area. It will help to manage the pain. More about that when I begin the sessions. So, if you're looking for attentive, knowledgeable, and expert care, this hospital is the place to go. I'm grateful for everyone who helped care for me.

I was scared into IVF and many of my concerns were dismissed by one dr. Another dr seemed bothered by our consult and simply asked if I wanted IVF or IUI without any professional guidance.
