The lawyer that reviewed everything with me was intrigued and said that he would need to take the day to think about everything and call in the afternoon, this on a Friday, but if he didn't have to call that day I would definitely hear from him Monday morning. Well, I never got a call back. Not a very good way to do business. The building and the offices there were old, cramped and cold. You could hear conversations that were going on with other lawyers. Magazines were VERY outdated and the waiting area had 2 maybe 3 chairs and was dark, bleak and cold. It wasn't a welcoming place at all. I guess that should have been my first clue. I gave it one star because I had to.

I called the office a week after our landlord emailed attorney Schwab to authorize its release to us and was told that Schwab was out of the office due to a death in the family. Ok...but what about our money? If I hadn't called, would they ever have gotten back to us? It took another ten days of horsing around with paralegal Liz to get the check in the mail, and at one point, when I called on a Monday afternoon to find out our status, only found out the following day that the office was, yes, closed for a funeral that afternoon. Not that their outgoing voicemail or email gave any indication of that, leaving me to wonder what they were up to by continuing to hold a significant sum that was due to us. It's 2016, folks -- if you're closed, you need to let people know! The final insult? The check (and accompanying formal letter and statement saying yup, no damages, here is your money) was sent certified mail...and of course, Liz failed to tell me that, so we ended up having to wait *another* day and make a trip to the post office to get the check since we were not home when the mail came. I cannot believe these people are still in business, given how poorly they handled such a simple transaction. Save your frustration and stay away.
