The next year they forgot to file an extension which I didn't realize until I started getting letters about liens on our houses from the IRS. Other things are just too numerous to mention. We had another tax business review those years. The new business found numerous mistakes and not only did we have thousands coming back due to those mistakes, but money we had had to pay to the State along with penalties and interest should not have been owed. They literally cost us thousands of dollars and many lost nights of sleep. Do you know the feeling of frustration when you call an 800 number, wait a while to speak to…read moresomeone, explain your problem, they tell you that you're talking to the wrong department, transfer you, you start your story over again, they give you information and you hang up only to learn it wasn't right and you have to call back and start all over again? Amplify that, pair it with VoIP taxes to complicate matters and then feel stuck to stay because you THINK you're almost through the bad parts and it's been such a long, terrible process that you can't fathom starting over, but want to because you've had such an awful experience that you're so mad to write them checks monthly. It's not been great- it's still not great and there is really not anyone who wants to see anything through. They're too big. Too busy. It's too much. Look elsewhere.

Even after a long history as customers they suggested that we seek another accounting firm as soon as there was trouble. We definitely got the feeling that this is a fair-weather accounting firm. If you get one of their better accountants you may have a better experience however recently their prices have skyrocketed so as a result of our poor experiences we have decided to move on to a company that concentrates on customer service and reliable accounting.

Most recently, I encountered a very bizarre customer relations issue. I went to pick up my return as per the usual protocol and discovered a rather substantial fee increase. Slightly agitated and confused I inquired as to why the fee had increased. Instead of a calm rational answer the accountant very defensively and angrily ranted about a number of things. Further, the accountant (Glen) stated that I was not acting like a "grown up". I felt incredibly insulted and attempted to pay however Glen's rant was far from over. He than attempted to make a joke and shake my hand to which I vehemently refused. This was the most unprofessional and demeaning display I have ever experienced. I highly advise looking elsewhere for financial services. I can confidently say I will not be returning and wish for a swift demise of the business!
