Walked into this hidden away "beauty spa"and into confusion. The entry way was nothing special…read moreactually confused me because I didn't know if I was in the right place. Nothing is reminiscent of a spa. It did not smell like a spa. The guest who was just finishing settling up with the technician who was selling/pushing membership was so loud and when I was in the treatment room I could hear the business going on in the entry way (not relaxing). I used a Groupon so I was excited to try a new place hoping to find a diamond in the rough. There was nothing sparkly, unique, or spectacular about this place- it was just rough. When I entered the room I inspected the products and looked at the UV sanitizing machine to see if there were any tools in there. Nothing. All I saw were tools sitting in little tiny bit of alcohol. I brought this to the woman's attention and asked for new tools. Nothing is explained. Thank God I'm a spa enthusiast. I changed into the water bath wrap and slid myself under a blanket. No bolster was placed under my knees. There was spa music playing that dampened the sound of the ongoings outside but not loud enough to drown out the noises as stated above. The steam for my facial was on for about 5-10 minutes, the cleansing felt rushed, the "deep cleaning" extraction was like maybe 5 minutes. When I do my own extractions I'm covering every square inch on my face in like 10-15 minutes. The microdermabrasion was meh and the photo rejuvenation was just that. The technician was friendly and engaged in conversation but I just wanted to enjoy my facial which was difficult. I did ask for more extractions on the sides of my face because I knew it was overlooked. No serum was used with the high frequency zapper so that was a 1st for me. The one cool thing was that the cooling mask had a layer under that made the removal so easy. One swoop! She patted some products on and done... Didn't tell me one products that was used or ask about my comfort. Save your money and go to Hand and Stone.

From the moment I walked in, I was fooled by the warm attention which prevented me from seeing that this place was a total scam. They used their smooth-talking charm to convince me to spend a ridiculous amount of money on this "innovative" treatment. I can only review from my experience and that experience can only account for the procedure that I purchased (Plasma Pen, scar removal and skin tightening and lightening). There was a moment where I thought this could be working because I saw a glimmer of improvement but that quickly disappeared. I tried my best to stay positive because of the huge investment that I had incurred. Staff continued to encourage me by stating that this takes time and I would see results soon. The procedure itself was a bit painful and uncomfortable, and the results were nonexistent. The worst though, was the aftercare. Horribly expensive in time, effort and money, and for what?! My scars look worse than before. My skin never tightened or even lightened. When I tried to follow up and express my dissatisfaction, the staff at the Jhon Jhon Institute just brushed me off and made me feel like I was the problem. The owner went as far as showing me photoshopped pictures of myself as if I was not in my own body and couldn't see I didn't look like that. The disrespect and disregard was real. I suggest that you check out a real dermatologist before you try a place like this. My dermatologist expressed his concerns and asked a simple question that I could not answer; Why not come to him before spending so much money? Had I done that I would not be out of thousands of dollars. It's clear now that they had no interest in actually helping me - they just wanted to take my money and then they gaslighted me when the results didn't live up to their promises. I'm so angry at myself, that I fell for their tricks. I would caution anyone considering this place to run in the other direction. Save your hard-earned cash and find a reputable, ethical provider instead. The Jhon Jhon Institute is nothing more than a scam, plain and simple. I write my review in the hopes of saving others from being used in this manner. Just be extra careful and vigilant. I wish I had been warned in this way. If you decide to go ahead with this establishment, please do your due diligence, research first and read the reviews. I sincerely wish you the best.
