We first started working with this contractor in November, 2022. Services were to include installation of water and electric lines, septic system, footings, stem wall, and final grading. The company required $21,000.00 dollars to start the project which we promptly paid on June 12, 2023 and they cashed on June 20, 2023. We expected work to begin after remitting such a large amount of money, but we were consistently put off time and time again or received no communication from Covenant Group Excavating in spite of our many attempts to contact them. Footings were finally dug on June 27th, but those trenches were left open for months endangering my small grandchildren and livestock that also live on the property. After many attempts to get the footings and stem wall completed, I had to hire another contractor to do this work as Covenant Group Excavating essentially abandoned the job. I also ended up digging and installing the water and electric lines, runners, and grading around the home myself. I ended up still needing the septic system to be done, and Covenant Group assured me that they would do that. Opting to let them complete the septic system after all of disappointments and "no shows" is a decision I greatly regret. Again, the tank hole and trenches were dug and left open for several weeks before the installation of the tank and septic lines were completed in late October only after threatening to contact the ROC to file a complaint of abandonment. The entire job was bid at $49K. The only items completed by Covenant Group were digging the home footings and installing the septic system. Given that we already had remitted $21K to them, we expected to get a large sum of our money returned. The owner of Covenant Group assured me that I would get money back, but never really indicated how much. I requested on multiple occasions an itemized cost for the septic installation, but never received one. After much discussion with the owner of Covenant Group, he agreed to repay only around $8K meaning he charged around 13K for the limited services his company completed. There is no way I would have agreed on this price in the first place, but I felt I was backed into a corner and had to try and recoup some of the money they had taken. The owner of Covent Group drafted an agreement to repay $1,000.00 per month to get the $8K reimbursement paid. We received the first payment on 3/20/2024 and the final payment in September of 2024. In short, I advise you to find another contractor if you should need such services. The mental anguish and financial hardship we experienced was and still is very taxing for us. This owner of Covenant Group Excavating used $21, 000.00 of our money for over a year to finance his own interests while we received nothing in return for this use of our money. I had to hire other contractors for needed services and ended up doing a great deal of the work myself. We also ended up paying far to much for very poor work, lack of communication, and disregard for the safety of individuals living on our property.

We had Barden come out among other companies to quote our remodel. We gave them a rendition of…read moreexactly what we wanted and they suggested price would be 30,000-40,000 closer to 40 and they were the only company that said for a full quote they would need $500 fee for their own rendition and to get the subcontractors out for full quote. We paid this and This process took over two months and their rendition was exactly what we handed them on the first day. When the process was over they came back with a final quote for 62,000 more than 20,000 over what they initially said cost would be with absolutely no changes and were not interested in working to reduce the cost. Very disappointed in them and their process especially since we had told other companies we were going with someone else and they took more than two months to essentially tell us they misrepresented their capabilities and costs. Edit after their response: they were told from the beginning the size of fireplace we wanted and that we wanted microcement. I knew that the initial verbal was meant to be non formal but $20,000 is not anywhere close. Their response also says they offered to change things, which their changes would still not have come within 10,000 of the high end of the original verbal estimate. Nothing major changed from the first day when we told them specifics of what we wanted.

Bob and Jake always had the answer for us even when I thought I knew what the answer was during the process. We shopped with 4 other builders prior to selecting B3 and I am very proud of our decision. There were some areas that I overlooked but Bob acted accordingly with the correct decision and action. I must admit I was a bit skeptical at the beginning when rainy weather started to slow us down but somehow he and his team caught up even with the record breaking snowfall of the winter of 22-23. As a property owner purchased before hiring B3 Bob helped us like no other Contractor would do by staying on our budget as that was the original plan for this new home build. His employees are among the best Craftsmen I've come across ever. Every time I asked of something, Bob or his crew were there to help me regardless of the task. I would recommend reaching out to me via this site if you have any questions with regards to Bob Harris and his magical company to bring your dream alive. Garry A. Flagstaff Az.

There was quite a laundry list as it was a 27 year old home. After i went back to the valley and Bob and his crew started working on things, I received a call from Bob to let me know that there were a few things that we had discussed that if they moved forward with how we had previously discussed would put me way out of my repair budget, and asked how i would like to proceed rather than doing them anyway and me having a surprise at the end. It was February when he had to work on the property which meant there was snow to contend with and things were still completed in a timely manner and I was able to list the house on the original planned date. I would not hesitate to recommend B3 construction to anyone in need of repairs/modifications to their home - especially if you want it done right!
