Far away the most disrespectful, arrogant, insensitive health care worker, in any capacity, I have ever had the (very expensive) displeasure of encountering.
I am a permanently, partially disabled father of 2, thirty-something first responder with HOURS of service logged... including Hurricane Katrina. I was in a terrible vehicle collision returning from an emergency call location in northern Kentucky on my 21st day assisting in disaster recovery after an ice storm. The rollover accident literally broke my back, and neck leaving me temporally paralyzed from my C-4 vertebrae down, no function in arms or legs. After 5 years of ongoing physical rehabilitation I have regained all motor function but have grown heavily dependent in opiate painkillers. I went to Dr. Fox with my current prescription in hand. My intention was to begin out patient suboxone detox. I want to stress, I have a monthly prescription and brought a full bottle in with me to illustrate that I am responsible with my medication and have voluntarily chosen to discontinue my painkiller use because it has become ineffective and my doctor intended to increase my dosage. I decided I would quit the opiates and focus on natural, homeopathic, non-toxic remedies.
Dr Fox made it abundantly clear from the outset he regarded me as a 'helpless addict' and held great disdain for my 'weakness of character' that led to my dependence. To reiterate, I am in constant, acute pain and take my meds as prescribed, was there to detox voluntarily and was a respectful, paying client/patient.
I abstained for 24 hours, as instructed then began my suboxone prescription. The withdrawals were mind-bendingly awful and the low dosage subs he prescribed were inadequate. I called to explain and was told that is my punishment for having succumbed opiate addiction and that he was aware the dosage was far from substantial to mitigate the torture known as DTs.
Dr Fox is a masochist with deep-seated aggression issues. Thanks inblarge part to Dr Fox's twisted perverse desire to witness and enhanse human suffering this has become one if the most painful and difficult chapters in my life. STAY AWAY FROM DR FOX and his grotesque, bloodlust-fueled shop of horrors!!!!! I WILL be contacting the State of Michigan AMA, BBB and my injury lawyer. If not for my crippling, literally, pain and moral compass I would wait outside his office and 'enlighten' him, with the help of a tire iron, in the hopes that perhaps a personal relationship with acute nerve damage and disability might foster an inkling of human compassion in this soulless monster, obviously devoid of even the crudest level sympathy or connection with the human element of his chosen profession.
STAY AWAY FROM DR FOX AT ALL COSTS. You will be enticed by his ready availability, but that is simply due to the fact that he gets NO repeat patients. One visit us ample time to conclude you never want to see thus monster again. read more
