That physician, who is no longer with the practice, stated he was unable to assist me, but referred me to Dr. Gosse. Dr. Gosse fit me with a set of orthotics and when those didn't seem to help, I was then referred to another physician within the practice, Dr. Stone. I've had a phenomenal experience with Dr. Stone. He is open for conversation, very knowledgeable and willing to try alternative options of treatment. He did perform an arthroscopy on my ankle and fit me with a whole new set of orthotics which fit beautifully. I've had a good experience with each physician. Dr. Stone is usually booked out, but I can usually find an appointment slot which works for my work schedule. The only issue I run into with the practice is the primary nurse/health technician is unfriendly and always in a rush. She does seem to have an attitude as if she knows everything which is frustrating. The other issue is the cost of orthotics is astronomical especially since most insurance plans do not provide coverage, and no payment plans are really available.

I just had recent visit to see the doctor and just want to say thank you!. Dr Rabinovich had insoles made for me that are the most wonderful, comfortable, helpful insoles that I have ever had! No one discussed the cost with me, asked whether I wanted the brace, or informed me that it would be billed at a substantial amount through my insurance. A few weeks later, I received a bill showing that I owed a hefty amount for this brace. I was shocked. Had I been told the cost upfront, I would have declined it and purchased one myself for a fraction of the price. When I called the office to express my concerns, I spoke with a front desk representative named Marina. Rather than addressing my concerns, I found her response dismissive and rude. What bothers me most is the lack of transparency. The entire experience felt very scammy to me, and it left me with serious concerns about this practice's billing practices and patient communication.

Last week I decided to look on Yelp to see who yelpers recommended and filled out the contact info for Dr. Miller. Literally 2 seconds later Dr. Miller himself called and we made an appointment for the following week. Impressive! Dr. Miller's office is conveniently located right of the highway and right next to Old Orchard mall for those who love to shop (a little too cold for an outdoor mall today IMO). There is plenty of parking out front and he's located on the 3rd floor. He was right on time for my appointment and appears to be a one man show right now since he's on the hunt for a new receptionist. Fortunately, that doesn't seem to be slowing him down. He took care of my foot issue (turned out to be a deep callous) and I wondered what took me so long to make the appointment. While i was there he also worked on a few other callouses, since he said he'd throw them in for free :). I also inquired about custom orthotics for my flat feet. He showed me some options and said he would check with my insurance to see how much they would cover. I plan to call back in a week and go down the orthotics route with him soon too. I asked what the #1 foot issue people come to him for and he mentioned an ingrown toe nail. My son had one recently that got better on his own, but glad we have someone to turn to if we run into a similar problem. He's good at what he does, very nice and fast. I was in and out of there within 20 minutes!

His front-desk person was friendly and efficient as she had been on the phone when I made my appointment. Dr. Miller was personable, thorough and attentive to my concerns. After a detailed examination, which included an assessment of the blood flow to my feet, he not only removed the calluses but also took care of other foot problems. The positive effect of his care was immediate. I highly recommend Dr. Miller to anyone in need of podiatric care.

On August 10, 2023, I met with Dr, Noxon at Illinois Bone and Joint in Glenview. I gave him 5 pairs of custom-made orthotics that he had made for me. After six weeks, his lab did not complete the modifications of my orthotics, and he along with his staff stopped answering my calls. I am shocked and dismayed that he just walked away from me, leaving me without any pairs of orthotics to use. He was the original doctor that prescribed the orthotics for me, about ten years ago! I need these orthotics to walk in comfort. For the last three months I have had blood blisters and quite a lot of pain because I don't have them. I find Dr. Noxon's lack of response unconscionable and totally unprofessional. He refused to answer my communications. He accepted my orthotics for repair and then just walked away from his professional responsibility. It is very expensive to replace these five pairs of orthotics on my own and Medicare does not pay for them. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and can't afford to replace them. This is not the Dr. Noxon I knew and trusted. I'm writing this review so others will know about his disappointing, unprofessional behavior.

Today I watched. I observed closely. It turns out this place is so busy, and they know so many patients by name here, that I now understand why getting in is a privilege. Again, they scooted me in, but this time everyone in the office was upbeat, organized, and there was even a kooky lady in the waiting room who made sure everyone waiting became a part of her experience of trying on new special footwear shoes. It was annoying, but also it keep me amused while I waited. Dr. Noxon is my hero and his doctors in training are fantastic and caring. And, today my experience in this office with the rest of the staff was stellar. I have a complex foot situation that is perplexing the doctors, but the focus today was finding a way to deal with the pain in response to the results of my MRI. Today I received my first cortisone shot - ever - in my life. It was a piece of cake! I expected the worse. Noxon also prescribed an anti-inflammatory and asked me to leave him a text 4 hours after the shot to see how I was doing in order to help him understand a bit more about my reaction to it and to help him further diagnose my situation. He's already thinking ahead and has a next step plan in place if the current one doesn't work out. He cares, and you can really tell. It's nice to feel like I'm in good safe hands. Fantastic bedside manner. Note: Dr. Noxon is an Olympic runner, and he lives and breathes a great healthy lifestyle... so he knows feet and I'm sure pain somewhere in there too.
