Megan and Lauren are like family to me and they do such a wonderful job keeping the family vibe in the barn. Both extremely knowledgable trainers with the best interests of the horses in mind as well as the safety of the riders. They frequently hold clinics with upper level event riders as well as schooling shows that are a BLAST! It's a beautifully made facility with top level care as well. There's not enough room for me to write all of the good things I have to say about Megan and Lauren AND Bit-O-Woods farm.

This is not a review on the diurnal activities of Miller's farm, but only their haunted Halloween…read moreactivities. In the month of October, they offer a haunted trail of approximately one mile, and a haunted house of approximately one barn. For some reason, they don't sell a combo ticket online and due to limits on how many you can buy in a transaction, may have to buy multiple. The haunted trail beings with being loaded into a cattle shute, where actors will occasionally try to scare those against the rails. The amount of people allowed released to the trail at a time did double as it became clear the line wasn't dying down. The spooky scenes are very well done, and the actors fantastic. They're spooky and committed to their roles. My only criticism is between the scenes it's really dark and hard to see what's on the forest floor below. The path is pretty clear, but one stray rock almost caused me to trip. That's when I decided to ignore the no cell phone request and put the light to the floor below me. (Maybe some discount Halloween lights or glowing pumpkins to light the way?)

This was my very first time riding a horse. The guides are very experienced and truly take great care of the horses. You do need make a reservation and it's about $30.00 for the hour. Our tour started out with just me and my friend and about 10 minutes in we were joined by another family of four. The tours usually stay on the smaller side. It was so peaceful and calming and I truly felt like I had a handle on riding within the first 5 minutes. The horses are very well maintained and cared for and I will definitely be back and even if it's your first time this is the place to go.

Majoda (MA-JO-DA) offers both a therapeutic and able bodied riding lessons, equine therapy and natural horsemanship center. The people are lovely, we have many volunteers who give of themselves to keep us going. there are 4 out of 5 stars because there is never enough money, volunteers or time in a day to get it all done. It is not far from NYC and made for the most wonderful weekend trip ever -- I cannot recommend it highly enough. The accommodations are excellent and nothing compares to waking up and having breakfast on the porch. I'm sure most people would think of going with children, but I'm a 27 year old woman who went with my friends and we all seriously had the most fantastic time. Fun for all ages! Gaston the cow is probably my favorite but honestly all the animals are out of this world.

We were always impressed with the facilities, which included an enormous indoor riding ring and a very unique sand track, but we didn't really appreciate how fantastic the service and care were until we moved away. The stable owners we've dealt with since PIne Bridge have been consistently disapointing: they charge more, they care less, and they expect my daughter to do most of the work we're paying them to do. Every little thing has an extra charge attached to it, and I'm pretty certain they don't even know my daughter's name. We NEVER had those problems at Pine Bridge. The Rosses always made us feel welcome, went above in beyond in taking care of our horse and stall, and always made my daughter and her horse feel more like friends than boarders. I only wish we could find a barn like this where we live now!
