I wish to report my experience with Dr. Patrick Fowler in Redding, CA Mid December 2012. When brought to Mercy Hospital ER, I was feverish and in 10+ pain with an abscessed Kidney. The ER staff called all the local urologists, and only Dr. Fowler was willing to help me. He explained my need for immediate placement of a stent, IV antibiotic and pain management. Later, he treated my stone with lithotripsy; it was painless and the stone fragments completely and uneventfully drained away. Dr. Fowler is a serious, no-nonsense practitioner who answered my questions and told me what to expect. After that late night surgery-stent placement, he found my daughter, reassured her that I was in good hands, and urged her to go home and get some rest. After the lithotripsy, he sought my wife in the waiting room and took all the time needed to tell her how the lithotripsy went, answered her questions, and kindly reassured her. His private office staff also treated me well, especially his surgery scheduler Shawna and surgical assistant Shonna. Never had to wait more than 10 minutes from appointment time. I am most grateful for my family members and me (a forgetful 83 year old, American Indian elder, on Medicare) to have received competent and respectful treatment by Dr. Fowler and by the staff members of Mercy Hospital, and Dr. Fowler's private office.
