I saw two Neurosurgical doctors for my cervical and lumbar spine issues. The first Doctor said I was born without some cervical disks. His parting comment was "have a good life". He declined to review my previous imaging showing proof of declining disk health (I was born with all of them). What kind of Doctor declines to review all available data, especially concerning the spine/brain? I won't name him. But then a second opinion with Dr Gorrepatti was incredible. He gave me a cervical fusion which relieved ALL my pain issues! I was able to stop taking the high doses of oxytocin. It's been 6 months and I've lost 25 pounds and I'm back to running 5 miles Thank you to Dr Gorrepati!!! read more

The surgeon was OK but some of the office staff are very rude. I pointed out that no one answered any emails that I sent and I was told in a very rude manner that they only check emails once a month and to call if I want to talk to someone. I asked about the patient portal and she said that it is only for requesting records even though they have messages clearly marked on the page. I suggested that they should put a notice on their website to tell people to call instead of emailing. Overall she was kind of rude and talked over me and I had to talk louder to get a word in. Not a good experience. I should have gotten this persons name but i was too upset. I don't recommend this place. read more

I was referred in December due to spinal cord compression form a cervical vertebrae that was tumor filled. it was considered urgent. I had moderate compression and neck instability rating that required stabilization to avoid catastrophic damage. The receptionist took my call and said it may take a few weeks to get back to me. I said the referral said urgent and she said she saw that. I didnt need any pre authorization. The next week I had intake at Fred Hutch where they immediately referred me to a UW specialist. He did repeat exams and scheduled surgery for the next week. After major surgery it all went well. I could be dead if I'd waited. Fourth Corner called me a month later. Go South!! read more

Dr. Ha has been amazing for over 4 years working with me on multiple injuries. I have had to get injections and a disc replacement in my neck and I could not be happier! The staff are also always efficient and helpful and I have always seen professional work with the other doctors as well! Could not be happier with my results! Will be returning to Dr. Ha! He thoroughly explains every single procedure very well and helps anticipate physical therapy needed and comfort with massage therapy referrals. I went to Fourth Corner Neurosurgeical Associate. I was seen by Dr. Marc Billings on June 23rd Dr Billings was great no complaints with him nor with the receptionist. The problem I'm having is with the person that sets up referrals and to the office manager of this office. I've been waiting seven weeks for them to refer me to have a nerve reduction study. I have called at least six times and left messages for them to call my back and neither the referral person or the office manager called me back. The office manager did text me stating that they were working on it. That was on September 6th 4 and a half weeks ago. I now have a new neurologist. By the way it only took my primary doctor office one day to refer me to the new neurologist and to set up for a nerve reduction study. read more

I just had my second surgery with Dr. Ha. My experience with both him and his practice has been very positive. I really like and trust Dr. Ha. I think he is a great surgeon. The relief I have experienced from surgery is profound. I had a disc fusion at level 3/4 and two weeks later I can already look up with out pain or dizziness. The staff at Fourth Corner is always kind and efficient. It took a while to get my surgery scheduled, but once I called to see what was happening, it got scheduled right away. Amy is my hero! My surgery team was great and Debra was kind and helpful. I think I had a good a surgical experience as it is possible to have. I have no qualms recommending Dr. Ha and his team. read more

While I can recommend Dr McQueen for his specialty in pain management, I forwarn anyone to take him with a grain of salt. He is very matter of fact and nit good with a sense of humor. But he knows his stuff. I have not had the pleasure of seeing any of the other physicians in the practice yet and hopefully won't have to. Now the receptionist. I can speak from experience that Lee's customer service leaves alot to be desired. Lack of eye contact, her tone of voice, impatience and general attitude towards patients could use some work. read more

This facility sucks!!!! First time I went they told me to arrive early. I did. Then they had me sit in the doctor's office where I waited for an hour and half before the doctor finally came in. He had just come back from lunch. I know this, because I could hear his receptionist outside the door, ask him how lunch was. He came into my room about 5 minutes after that. He told me that he hadn't looked at any of my records or medical files because he liked to get to know his patients personally before he read any of their records. To me, this was his excuse for not doing his job and being prepared. He briefly looked at my MRI then told me I was fine. Then he talked to me about his child's horrible experience with public education, because he knew I had been a principal. He proceeded to brag to me about how he had started a new private school so his child could be properly stimulated at school. This guy is arrogant. Has no bedside manners and his receptionist take after him. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. HE"S NOT THE ONLY NEUROSURGEON IN TOWN! read more

I have had good experiences with many of the staff. The front receptionist is lovely and kind. Dr Ha did a sensitive surgery on my sister and I was impressed with the care he put into doing it right! Also, Dr Laudau, Hendrick, the PA, and assistant Maddy have been very helpful. A friend who saw Dr Landau had a really 'miraculous' response to his procedure! Would give 4-5 stars BUT today had a very rough interaction with Dr Baker's assistant. I am recovering from brain surgery and have a hypersensitivity to lights and sound. I cannot wait in the office so I waited outside. The assistant was cold and overly directive from the beginning but the real problem was when I asked her to use a quiet voice with me. She got angry, glaring at me and her voice became shrill and louder, rather than softer. I tried to explain but she was dismissive. I waited in the room for a long time (which generally is OK) but because I was in the room by the reception window the laughing and conversation made me more agitated. I would have preferred to wait outside but was seated long before the Dr was ready. I don't mind waiting for a Dr. I assume that if they are late, it is because they are giving some person who needs it the attention they need. When it is my turn that is what I hope for myself as well. Dr Baker was clearly pissed off at me and said I could 'take your care elsewhere'. Not sure what she had told him. I was an RN for 25 years and know that we cannot always do it perfectly but someone in their positions needs to have a some compassion for those who have such limitations. read more

This place is a extremely unprofessional and has absolutely no regard for patient care or well being. My mother was yo yo'ed between Dr McQueen and the surgeon across the way whom promised new, helpful procedures to relieve her pain, but instead sent her home in tears multiple times. The surgeon told my mother that he got a higher education so that he wouldn't have to work hard like she does and that was basically his word of advice. Now for Dr McQueen... this @sshole not only sent my mom home in tears because of inflicted pain with difficult injections, but then had her make an appointment to discuss another optional treatment to help relieve her major pain in which he reveals there is NOTHING more he can do to help her!!! Not only did he get her hopes up, waist her time and money, but then tells her he will not sign any paper work for her to ease up on work duties, etc because he doesn't want to get caught up in filling out paperwork which doesn't make him any money!!!! Who says that??!? Isn't it part of your job as a physician to do both clinical and documentation work?!? Absolutely disgusted!!!! What a complete penny pinching butcher shop!!!! read more

Couldn't even get past the scheduler. My PCM sent a referral to this place and after 3 attempts to the correct fax number they still didn't receive it. I called several times left messages and talked with their scheduler Amy and she basically said I had to have my doctor send notes to her before she could schedule an appointment even with the referral and since she claims she didn't receive the referral I would need to send it with any labs and xrays etc. I asked don't you normally request that info from my referring Doc? She said "No we don't make phone calls to your Doc" What?? I've never seen a medical facility not willing to pull info on a patient from my PCM or exrays. She then said "I'm done with you" and "you can talk to the office manager" and promptly transferred me to another number which disconnected before the end of the phone greeting. I called back and asked to be forwarded to the office manager (Lee) and left a message. I haven't heard back from anyone from this outfit. Worst run office I've ever seen. I changed my referral and am now with someone else. Would not trust this place. Bad attitudes. read more

I had a neck fusion that I wish to God I never had. The fusion could not be completed in the first surgery (he went through the front of my neck) when I woke up I couldn't swallow my own Sylvia, eat or drink anything and my speech was and still is messed up. My face was droopy and my tongue is shifted to the right. I was suppose to be in the hospital maybe 2 days but ended up in there 9 days. The Dr. and his team kept saying it was swelling and it would get better soon then it was a couple weeks then a few months. When they released me from the hospital I was sent home with a feeding tube, suction machine and I was on my own. The paperwork said I was released in good condition even though I could barely walk, was constantly choking on my own spit. I had to have the second surgery this time he went through the back of the neck and they say it was a successful surgery. I still can not talk correctly I aspirate every time I try to eat or drink a and I still can not speak or sound like I use to. Not once have they reached out and check on me. My last appointment the Dr. came in the exam room and could not leave fast enough. Basically I feel like I have been ghosted. It will be 2 years May 18th. They say they tell you all the risk but in the same breath they tell you but that has never happened to my patients I call bullshit. They mess up your and your family's life then go enjoy themselves on their boats, travel whatever while you get to suffer. Plus we paid them to mess us up. I am so disappointed I wish I could describe how I feel but it doesn't matter anyways Dr. Barry Landau hasnt cared, won't care his life goes on unchanged. I have and am going through hell so PLEASE do your research and don't trust like I did you might just save yourself . I would love a refund of all the monies spent. All the speech therapy, physical therapy and the liquid food for my tube and all the co-pays plus what he was paid. Will that ever happen, No the rich doctor gets richer and the patient gets screwed over. I would love Dr. Barry Landau to live my life for a week just one week then do you think he would care. read more

First of all I think everyone that works at this clinic are fine people, including Landau and McQeen However..... My experience with this clinic has been a nightmare for me. I am a chronic pain victim. I say victim because if you have chronic pain no one wants to touch you with a 10 ft pole mostly because if your issue does not fit into their box (Square peg into a square hole.) They dont know what do to with you. Thats how this started with this office. WELL NOT REALLY, LETS TAKE A STEP BACK. It all started with just trying to get an appointment. Dr Barry Landau came highly recommended by a friend who was treated by him. He had no problems with getting pain meds etc, which now is a huge problem in all practices. So I thought I would give Barry Landau a try. Appointment. When I first called I couldnt get a human on the phone and even the message was computer generated. Not a good start. So I left a message but no one ever got back to me. Remember Im a chronic pain victim. Time is of the essence. When I finally got a person on the phone they made an appointment with a PA in this office. But still it took weeks to get in to see Landau as they wanted to see a new MRI. (Im truncating this to make it easier to read and not drawn out) When I finally got to see Landau, he basically told me that there was nothing he could do for me and handed me a list of websites to visit. He did mention that maybe his associate Dr McQeen might have some options for me so I decided to see Mc Qeen especially after looking at the websites that Landau gave me. It was clear he wanted nothing to do with me and in his defense Im sure there was nothing he could do for me. However he explained that McQeen would have a certain path of treatments that possible might work for one of my pain issues. I have three pain issues. So I had to wait a few weeks to see McQueen and it was at that visit that I discovered that the possible treatments that Landau thought he would present were actually ignored by McQeen and he focused on one that frankly took me by surprise. He wouldnt even discuss the other possible treatments and he really didnt want to discuss anything other than one of my 3 pain issues. I was very frank with him so he knew he as dealing with a dead ender, someone who is desperate. So at the end of my time, Im sure I was on his appointment clock, he did actually put hands on me to investigate the other two issues I have. But at the end of the visit it really was all about this new procedure he wanted to do. I agreed to go through the process. So after the McQeen appointment I didnt hear back. For weeks and finally got a call to go over an xray. I explained to the nurse I already knew the results of the xray, which really had nothing to do with the procedure he wanted to do. I then told her that Ive not hear back from them about doing the preliminary procedure that he actually wanted to do. I had clearly fallen through the cracks SIDE BAR- Communication with this office was so bad that one day I was with my friend who recommended Landau to me and discovered that he also was waiting to hear back from them after leaving a message. So we decided to drive down to the office and have a face to face with the person at the desk. My friend got his appointment and I was told that they will get back to me. Well they did get back to me but it took weeks. So I finally had an appointment for the test procedure but was told that if my pain level was not high on that day that I should cancel the procedure. So on the day of the procedure my pain was lower than normal and called and canceled and was assured that the Dr would get the message. Well guess what, they didnt pass on the message and I got a call two hours later from a nurse who was clearly upset that I wasnt there. I explained that I did indeed call two hours earlier and did cancel. She immediately backed down and told me it wasnt my fault. Its been over a week now and Ive not heard back from them. OK have much more to say about bed side manners by McQeen etc but I think he probably is competent but I really dont know. Here is my problem with this clinic. 1) I am a chronic pain victim! There is only so much time left for me before I decide I cant take the pain anymore and no one is interested in giving me enough pain meds. I am in my late 60s and when on proper pain medication I do live a fairly normal and active life. No one cares about this. We are all treated like junkies which is criminal in itself. Life or death 2) 4th Corner has a huge communication problem, HUGE! I have never had to deal with such an incompetent line of communication. This in itself is a RED FLAG. Unless you have a bulldog advocate helping you you will fall through the cracks and hopefully you wont die because of this. 3) They clearly didnt know what to do with me and my conditions. 3 of them! For 3 agonizing years I suffered with debilitating back pain due to a herniated disc. After being given the runaround from the Navy, going thru two rounds of physical therapy, and being rushed to the emergency room on multiple occasions due to the excruciating pain of a ruptured disc crushing my sciatic nerve, they finally said they'd refer me to a surgeon, while suggesting that the surgeon probably wouldn't have done much. Thankfully, Navy medical couldn't have been more wrong. I saw Dr. Ha in April, I was immediately impressed by his obvious knowledge in his field. We viewed my MRI images together while he explained to me in thorough detail what was going on with my spine. He pretty much immediately stated that I was a candidate for surgery to my relief. After the wonderful people at Fourth Corner got through my insurance company (Tricare) they got me in as soon as possible. I was scheduled to have surgery May 14. Yes! It happened that quickly! Prior to surgery Dr. Ha stopped by to see me and to figure out which site would be best for the incision. He wanted to make sure the scarring was minimal, I appreciated his meticulousness. Afterwards, once the anesthesia wore off, he came by to tell me that surgery went incredibly well and that my disc was in terrible shape. If I am remembering correctly, he said he couldn't believe that I was still walking and not wearing a diaper, that's how bad it was! Validation! Within 24 hours I was walking around pretty much pain free with the exception of the incision site and some occasional soreness. I was absolutely amazed. Dr. Ha and the entire team at Fourth Corner, quite literally saved my mobility and my career. I cannot thank them enough. He was so great throughout this entire process and really made me feel comfortable that I was in the best hands possible. He is an incredible physician I would recommend him 1,000 times. read more

my GP said an 'excellent pain management clinic'.never found out as i went to 1st appt & saw a surgeon who said 'you are on the wrong side of the clinic, the other side is pain management'. That was after waiting an hour and driving up from Mt Vernon. The nice receptionist said they would call me for the appt for the other side. Five days of pain later i finally called THEM and they said 'someone forgot to put on your note you needed an appt'.. THANKS DR BILLINGS. and the soonest appt? 3 weeks! read more

My Doctor referred me to Dr Landau when my back pain was becoming intense and reviewing a recent MRI and X Ray in late spring. My only regret is that it took time to see him and then schedule the operation. Because he is a busy doctor and the Covid restrictions. At the appointment we looked at the MRI together and he pointed out and explained the problem and the fix. In his eyes a fairly easy operation. I went to the appointment full of dread and left with great hope actually elated it was such a relief. Luckily I qualified to have the surgery in the operation room they have set up in the building. I went from a person who stumbled around a store bent over a shopping cart using pain pills to walking around the store pushing the cart and no pain medication of any kind. I was in by 8 Am and out by Noon. With a rapid recovery. To me it is a miracle. I could not be more thankful. I got my life back. read more

If was reviewing only Dr. McQueen I would have given 4 stars. His bedside manner is very average but I do believe he is very skilled at what he does. My issue with this business is the mistakes made by the scheduler and office staff which cost me several hundred dollars as well as their officemanager's unwillingness to make things right or even apologize for errors made by her staff. read more

This place is INCOMPETENT! If they cannot understand the limitations of their equipment and what they can/cannot do how and why should anyone trust them to address your neurons/spine issues?! I saw Dr.Baker for all of 5 minutes who referred me to his associate Dr. McQueen for a referral for spinal injections. Dr. Baker and his staff knew on the date of my appointment that my weight is 315lbs. Yet he still referred me to a partner of his in the clinic. Hey waste two doc appts plus 2 Roy d trip 70 mile trips to be told their equipment can only address patients that are 300lbs or less. Seriously?!? And this could not have been addressed from the start?!? Even if I lost 15 lbs I wouldn't trust these incompetent people to go anywhere near my spine with anything!! read more

I do not recommend Dr. Billings. Recently he told my significant other that he does not believe in doing fusions because they do not work. Dr spent a couple of minutes reviewing MRI which he told my significant other that he would recommend shots to see if that would help. Even L&I are authorizing surgery due to the severe damage shown on the MRI. Dr. Billings made my significant other feel like because of his age that surgery is not something he would do that is discrimination. Dr,Billings said he would not do surgery however would refer to hospital in Seattle. Dr. disregarded the safety of his patient. patient can barely walk the bulging disc is putting pressure on nerves which is not only causing significant pain, also not able to walk more than 50 feet without having to rest and lean on something so he did not fall. patient has not been able to work since April of this year. this is what was in one of the searches on Dr. Billings Dr. Billings believes that the foundation to any relationship is honesty, humility, and compassion. He uses clear and concise language with models and illustrations to discuss image findings and explain complex neurosurgical conditions. None of this is true!! read more

Prior to My Back surgery with Dr Tung M Ha I was in unbearable pain. I often woke up in tears and drenched in sweat. It was terrible. Referred to Dr.McQueen; at 2:00 appt. day, asked at 3 pm how much longer it would be. Making the appt. I was told Dr. McQueen saw new patients for 45 min. The receptionist said your appt. is 4:00 pm. maybe the doctor can see you at 4:30 pm; left & rescheduled. When I went to 2nd appt. the receptionist said Dr. McQueen never sees patients longer than 30 min. Dr. McQueen looked at my images and said I can't help you. When I asked him if anything could be done, he said that's a gray area and I don't have time to explain it to you and indicated my appt. was over; 20 min. appt. He was rude, brusk, sharp of conversation and appearance. Obviously he does not respect his patients; or maybe it's just older patients; or maybe it's just women patients. ALL patients have a right to thorough, competent, polite medical treatment. We will share this experience with family, neighbors, friends, church family and professional groups to which we belong. Absolutley disgusing. My referring doctor apologized profusely and said she would refer me to NW Pain Clinic on Northwest Ave., Bellingham, WA. read more

Recently waited 2 months to get an appointment here. Text messages warned me of paperwork that needed to be filled out prior to my appointment. I had not received an email with paperwork by the morning of the appointment so I texted back an email address for paperwork to be sent to. No response. My appointment was scheduled for 230 with Dr McQueen. I arrived at the reception desk at 231. The receptionist immediately quipped, "you're late and I don't see you carrying any paperwork." I explained that I had requested paperwork but never received a response. She was dismissive indicating that I didn't try hard enough to get the paperwork and that my appointment would need to be rescheduled. I said that surely I would be able to fill out the paperwork in the waiting room in time to see the DA or Dr and she again quipped, "Dr. McQueen runs a tight schedule so you will have to reschedule this appointment". At this point I got a little nasty, which I regret, but I have been in pain for months, dealing with numbness in my hands and arms. I had a difficult day to that point and was very hopeful to have a qualified and compassionate medical team begin to address my issue. This was not the case. After reading further reviews here I am actually thankful that I was so callously rejected at the front desk. I can't imagine going thru more of that unprofessional and sub human treatment, paying money out of pocket for abuse at the hands of what seems to be a group of megalomaniacs. Dr said my back will heal on it's own. I am not going to live long enough for that process to be completed.

I had been having severe pain in my right leg and numbness in my foot that was really impacting my quality of life. I couldn't sleep, I couldn't play with the kids; it was even becoming difficult to drive as I couldn't press down the gas pedal without pain. I'm only 37 and I was afraid that this was a problem without a solution. I had tried physical therapy and acupuncture; both of which did not provide me with any meaningful pain relief. My PCP ordered an MRI and then referred me to Dr. Ha at Fourth Corner Neuro. I met with Dr. Ha and immediately felt an immense amount of trust with him. He knows what he is doing and is clearly an expert in his field. He took the time to show me my MRI results and where the problem area was. He explained that he thought I would be a good candidate for a microdiscectomy. I eagerly agreed to the procedure. I was then turned over to the office staff to discuss scheduling, surgery prep and costs. Each person I dealt with (Marnie, Amy and Martha - I'm talking to you!) was so gracious with their time. They answered all my questions and made sure I was a fully informed patient before I even scheduled the surgery. I was able to get in quickly. Just 9 days between the MRI and my surgery date. I don't know if this is normal or not, however, I was so grateful for the quick time frame. On the day of surgery, I was checked in to the surgery center on time and they again went over the procedure. Marnie took great care of me, made sure my husband had all of the information he would need for my post-operative care and made me as comfortable as could be expected. Then I met with the anesthesiologist, who was also wonderful! She put me under and a couple hours later I woke up to the smiling staff at the surgery center. :) Dr. Ha came by to see how I was doing before I checked out and... it's hard to type this without tearing up... he asked me to stand up out of my wheelchair and for the first time in months, I was able to use my right leg without feeling intense pain. I hugged him and cried the happiest tears. He explained that the surgery went as planned and that he was able to take the pressure off the nerves that were being squished by my herniated disc. I'm two weeks post-surgery and I have followed all of Dr. Ha's rules for giving my body the best environment to heal in. I am off all of my pain medications (was only on them for 4 days post-surgery) and am taking my time in healing. Dr. Ha is the real deal. I am so grateful for his knowledge and expertise (and his fashion sense). I can't imagine still being in the pain I was in just 3 weeks ago. Dr. Ha will be my spine expert for as long as he is practicing. People fly in from all over to see him, and I completely understand why. I have, and will continue to, recommended anyone with a spine issue to Dr. Ha. Thank you for reading this super long post. Microdiscectomy 4 weeks ago and I have had no sciatic nerve pain in my back, leg and bottom of my foot. So thankful for Dr. Ha and all the wonderful staff. I've been back to work since 2 weeks after the surgery and completely off all pain meds 5 days post opp. My family was also treated very well. Any questions I had post opp were quickly answered even on a Sunday. Yeah, I feel like I have my life back. Simply can't thank you enough. read more
