So one of the great joys (at least for me) is exploring markets and unique foods of foreign lands. Four Square is a great place to explore the great kiwi snack foods....look up Whittakers.... Not bad for a small mart. Good variety of cold and hot ready meals for tourists in addition to standard grocery items. Staff was alrightish, older cashier lady was rude, younger one was friendly. read more

My husband decided to take a break from eating out and came here to buy things to make dinner with at our apartment we were staying at. Overall they have things you would need (from toilet paper to wine and frozen pizzas). We were disappointed at the lack of patries for breakfast and fresh vegetables. It seemed they were completely picked over and the shelves were pretty scares. But then again, we went around 4-5p and the rest of the town probably already stopped in. We were able to find some things to make (our apartment didn't have an oven). Prices were high, but that's to be expected in a small town with just 1 grocery store. read more

Awesome staff, well stocked supermarket with plenty of fresh produce, meat and deli goods.

Just the usual Four Square, and unlike larger chains in major cities, it carries a smaller assortment of products but sufficient. It's location is in the town centre and has enough parking slots and other amenities such as restaurants and picnic areas within the area. read more

Worst four square in New Zealand. They hire unprofessional and rude cashiers. One of them, Joanna, would rather chat with her colleagues than take care of the line. It's shockingly bad. read more

Stayed in Lake Tekapo for a few weeks and the grocery store is surprisingly well stocked. Lots of choices, friendly staff, and fresh produce. I was able to make plenty of meals with lots of variety. read more
