The crew that took our tree down was very prompt and did a great job to keep the tree limbs from damaging pretty much anything (it was next to our privacy fence in a flower bed area). They cleaned up any left over debris. And they even helped me re-home a bird's nest to a neighboring tree. I just checked on it to see a momma dove feeding her babies in it! I was reluctantly considering removing them and had gotten two quotes to do so. When I met with the arborist Tim Zastrow, who is certified to do tree risk assessments, he was able to come up with a plan to stabilize the trees with rods and cables and prune them to keep most of the canopy weight on the side opposite the house. The crew who came to do the work was great. They were polite and professional in every way. They reached out to Tim when there was a little uncertainty about which limbs to prune. They were knowledgeable and worked as a well-established team to get the job done. As soon as the first rod was placed, I felt a wave of relief knowing that I had found the appropriate balance between safety, cost and tree removal. The cables in the canopy are all but invisible and the rods are not obtrusive. The plan cost less than 1/3 of the lowest estimate I received to remove the trees. And most importantly, I still have the trees! All in all, next time I would call Bartlett Tree Service first!
