My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights Feb 2-4 because we were in town for a special event not too far away. Once we found it, (what a relief) we were able to register and relax in a handicapped accessible room #129 on the first floor. The room was clean and large with a walk in shower. The major negative to the shower was it was slippery and a couple other grip bars had to be put in place so that a fall could be avoided and the floor had to have more gripping power as well. They helped us with giving a shower chair and a mat. Upon leaving the hotel that last morning, we coincidentally met the owner walking by and offered me some help as I was loading my suitcases on the dolly. He even asked if everything else was ok and if I wanted anything. That was my chance to give him our feedback about the bathroom. He came in and immediately ordered the grip bars from Amazon while talking to me. What a mensch! Now I decided to give a 5 star review. He welcomed my feedback. His name is Alan. We also had breakfast in their little restaurant. The chef was extremely amicable and made us fresh eggs the way we preferred even though they had it buffet style. We were very satisfied. When visiting in the future, we plan on staying there again.

I reserved a junior suite... this room is so small! How is it a suite?? Just because it has a tub. At over $350/night... breakfast is not included.

Stayed here for a wedding and we enjoyed our stay a lot. The desk person was very nice and got us into a room early w/o any problems. The room was terrific -tons of space, a nice work desk, big TV with HBO, free wifi, a sofa, and the greatest hotel shower i have ever experienced. The water pressure was so high it seemed as though it was coming through a fire hose from a hydrant. Another rather cool thing I saw were shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers on the shower wall - just press and go ! There is a small bar and restaurant just off the lobby, and although the menus and service hours are rather limited, they still did a nice job on our two visits there. They have a great location just off the highway with easy to see signage. A very nice place.

The toilet in my bathroom looked like one of a boat

Probably should be giving this two stars. But I am feeling generous. Here is why: 1.) The furniture in the room is junk. There were literally parts of the desk and nightstands where the laminate had been broken away exposing particle board below it. It is my guess that this furniture hasn't been changed since this hotel was built over a decade ago. 2.) I don't understand the concept of this chain. I understand that 4 Points is Sheraton's answer to the Extended Stay hotels Holiday Inn and Marriott Offers. Yet, the rooms don't have kitchens the way Staybridge Suites or Marriott Residence Inn do. Why on earth anyone would stay here on business for weeks at a time vs. a Residence Inn is beyond me. Must be for the SPG points. It reminds me more of a Holiday Inn Express with a good restaurant/bar in the lobby. 3.) The room colors are strange. Believe it or not, the carpet is PINK and the walls are a dark pinkish color ... WAY too much pink. The room reminded me more of a nursing home room or cruise ship room than a hotel room. Also the light wood furniture mixed with the pink walls and pink carpet make this feel like a hotel room from the 1990s, even though it was probably built in the 2000s. To me, it felt like a casino or cruise ship. 4.) The room was a little cavernous. It did not have a good 'flow' like a lot of hotel rooms. It seems all the furniture was pushed up against the walls leaving a big empty center of the room. It just didn't feel organized. 5.) The bathroom is hideous. No exaggeration, the toilet is the same sort of toilet you'd find on a ferry boat. There is no tank ... it is just the bowl and seat and the back is thick pipe with a handle on it. I have never seen this in another hotel room. It feels like a boat or high school bathroom. The shower/tub combo is like one of those one piece thin plastic units you see at very discount hardware stores. Yuck. 6.) Everything felt worn and old. Surprising for a Sheraton, which is supposed to be the top of the line. 7.) LOTS of highway noise. It is located right off the Long Island Expressway ... so most of the rooms you can hear truck breaks clacking and wizzing by. This is a huge issue if you are a light sleeper. Okay ... so what's the positive? All I can think about is that you will get Starwood points and this is the ONLY Sheraton branded hotel on Long Island, believe it or not. If you aren't staying here ... you aren't getting your SPG points. And they know this because this place is often 25 - 40% higher in price than comparable hotels (Holiday Inn Express, Fairfield by Marriott, Hilton Garden Inn). The staff here seems to have the attitude, 'We are the only SPG game in town.' The bar/restaurant is pretty good. So good that people from town have made this a hot spot. So there is quite a lively bar scene here. They have a lot of beers on tap. It's a mostly male crowd from what I've seen. In the Center of Nassau and Suffolk county, the location is pretty ideal. Convenience-wise having the LIE right next door might be a good thing ... but come night when you are trying to sleep, not so much. If you are looking for some good places to eat nearby, Brachianelli's Pizza is about 20 minutes away and its one of the best pizza and Italian joints I've been to anywhere. Cafe La Streda is great Italian ... as is Mario's. Both within 10 - 20 minutes. I wouldn't stay here again, even if it meant forgoing my Starpoints. But I can see why some might. Free wifi is okay but this place is so overpriced for what you get.

NY Strip at the Four Points Bar.

This was really a great hotel bar experience. I ordered the New York Strip at 10:00 PM. I asked for rare and it came out medium rare, which meets my expectations outside of a true steakhouse. The steak was well seasoned and the roasted vegetable side was tasty and nicely cooked. I added a seasonal hoppy ale, and was very pleased. Wednesday night is happy hour at the bar with free Hors d'oeuvres. The service was fast and pleasant!

The hotel is easy to find right off the LIE exit 48. There is plenty of parking and a covered drive up front entrance. There is a 24 hour front desk staff that is friendly and knowledgeable about the area's restaurants and sights. The room was spacious with the usual coffee machine, but there was also a microwave and mini fridge in the dresser that had the coffee machine, bottled water, and in the bathroom the shampoo, soap, and body wash are on the bathtub wall. The jacuzzi worked well. The king size bed had several large pillows. In the large closet are monogrammed bathrobes and a golf-club sized umbrella that are available for the guest's use while staying in the hotel. The only, and it's not that critical, the HVAC's fan is a little noisy. We didn't use the restaurant; we were on Long Island to visit family, and knew there was a meal waiting. They are pet friendly.

Happiness is..... After a long work day and jetlag.

We came in for a wedding and stayed for 5 nights. Our stay was overall comfortable, but there are…read moresome things that could be improved. We had taken a red eye and called to see if early check in was available. It was over a holiday weekend so the area was busy to begin with. The front desk person we spoke to on the phone was not very friendly and quick to say no. Not a big deal, but was something we noted. During check in, it was the same person and she seemed very distracted. She had down that I was only staying one night, but we had booked five. She was able correct her mistake shortly, but she did not look up at me once! Aside from the unwelcoming energy and mix up on reservations, the check in process was easy. The room itself was spacious. Bed was comforable. The kitchen had all of the necessary kitchenware to make do for a few days. They left one dishwasher packet. The trash cans were tiny for a full size kitchen. The fridge was SO loud, but it did eventually quiet down. We were able to control the temp of the room and it was comfortable during our stay. Cleanliness was ok. I wish I took pictures but there were stains on the walls and the air was a bit musty. The toilet and plumbing had issues. It got clogged several times (I swear it was not a us problem lol) while we were there and each time, someone had to come unclog it or during after hours, we had to unclog it ourselves. It seems they only had one plunger for the whole hotel! We started using the lobby bathroom because it was such an issue. They offer a gym which was clean with a great variety of working equipment. We did not use the pool area, but it was a good size. The hot tub, unfortunately, looked unclean with a large amount of foam. We did not bother because of that. On the morning of check out (around 9AM), we had housekeeping knock on our door two seperate occasions (But within 15 min of each other) to come in and clean. I told them that we would be checking out today and do not need cleaning until after we leave. They asked me what time, so I told them closer to check out time. All morning long, all I could hear was housekeeping knocking on people's doors. It was very bizarre. One big highlight was the breakfast buffet. Having a complimentary hot breakfast with decent and varied options was lovely. They switched things up at the egg/meats bar, but also had cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, waffles, baked goods on the daily. A good amount of coughing kids, so bring hand sani and wipes to keep yourself healthy! Overall, a good central location to where we needed to be. Parking was ample. The space was decently comfortable with some room for improvement on the overall experience We loved having a kitchen but did not use it much this trip. I would stay again.

0/0 Stars!! If zero…read morestars were possible, that would be the appropriate rating. We were wrongfully charged nearly $300 in "cleaning fees" for a room that was left in clean condition. The only thing left behind were a few paper rose petals on the floor -- no damage, no stains, no excessive mess beyond what standard housekeeping manages daily. In fact, we brought our own trash bags, consolidated all garbage, washed dishes, unloaded dishwasher, and ensured everything was left respectfully. We have worked in hospitality for years prior to becoming hardworking nurses and healthcare professionals -- we know what a trashed room looks like, and this was nowhere close. We even left a tip for housekeeping as a gesture of appreciation. When we called to respectfully question the charge, instead of transparency or evidence, we were met with a series of serious and completely unfounded accusations seemingly used to justify the fee. We were accused of: * Burning the carpet with a wax candle * Smoking in the room * Generating noise complaints There was not a single wax candle in the room. We intentionally spent over $100 on battery-operated candles specifically to avoid fire hazards or damage concerns. The allegation that we burned carpet with wax is entirely fabricated. We were also accused of smoking. None of us smoke -- several of us are asthmatic. There wasn't even a lighter present. The idea that we smoked in the room without any odor, residue, or evidence is not only false, it's offensive. As for "noise complaints," we never received a single phone call, knock, or visit from security during our stay. Hotels notify guests immediately if there is a disturbance. That never happened. If complaints truly existed, why were we never informed at the time? We are healthcare professionals who took one evening to celebrate sisterhood and enjoy a simple self-care night. Instead, we were met afterward with baseless accusations and an excessive charge that feels far more like a money grab than legitimate policy enforcement. False claims, lack of evidence, and surprise post-stay charges are unacceptable. Proceed with caution. Take photos before checkout. Document everything. We will absolutely be disputing this charge.

The review is for a day visit. We booked a Tuesday house tour. It lasted for an hour and 15 minutes. The tour guide showed us the special rooms of the house. I loved the gesture of showing us the Castle's most favorite hotel room ... the bridal suite. The view from this room is magnificent. We do our own tour of the garden after lunch. We took our time exploring and enjoyed taking photos. We had a reservation after the tour at its restaurant. The management gave us a10% discount for taking the tour. I made a separate review for its restaurant. The inside of the mansion is meticulously decorated classy. I am impressed how they maintained the house especially their hotel rooms. I can't imagine how magnificent weddings celebrations are being held here. This place is a good venue choice... the huge dining hall and its beautiful ballroom stand out. It is a recommended place to be.

One of the things about it past the fact that it dwarfs Downton Abbey (for this who don't know that is the name of an estate) and is literally like stepping back in time into absolute Sumptuousness and luxury was this feeling of safety we felt. I did not expect it- I read that it is haunted and being that it is COLOSSAL in size, I expected to feel uneasy or creeped out a bit. I did not however; In fact I felt oddly welcomed. We stayed in the dead of winter on a weekday off season when no events or even many people stayed. I can say that I am pretty sure we were completely alone in the wing we were in and not once did I feel nervous or vulnerable. I read that Otto Kahn the original owner who built it, was scared of fire. The entire place was built to be fireproof with stone and concrete. I loved that and it made me even more comfortable. The place feels magic and protective! Such a rarity. You can feel the love put into this place. The halls that lead to the room in this wing were ...unusual. Weird murals of the sound of music. I get it. It was whimsey at the time it was done in I think maybe the 1980s. no big deal. Spotlessly clean and well lit. Was a little shining-esq...you know...the overlook. Still had zero chills or jeebies. The room we stayed in was basic- must have been redone in the late 80s or maybe early 90s. It was a bit dated with a lot of beige and travertine tiles, yellow gold fixtures etc. (Next time I will spring for a room that fits the rest of this place for the full experience) Nevertheless It was well enough to have served its purpose but I will say this; IT WAS IMMACULATE. Sterile. I am not sure how it could be this outdated but also be as fresh and polished as the day it was done. It smelled fresh and shined and was very well appointed right down to luxurious white Terry robes. The rugs were clean and fresh. The giant heavy gaudy sleigh bed was decked with luxe creamy sheets and was so comfortable. I am a design snob, I choose place based on this factor; Between the downstairs Lavishness, and the clean and details in the room- I was more than satisfied. We meandered around from humongous ball room to room. woodwork and stone and antiquities ....views... I feel like we didn't even cover a fraction and we were blown away. I am posting some pictures. If I am being honest, I felt like royalty staying here for a simple staycation for the night. I could go one and on. we plan to come back and stay in the Gatsby or carnegie suite in the spring. I feel like the price is reasonable here for a basic room comparable to most hotels that far outdoes any silly Hilton or Hampton inn. Why would anyone stay anywhere else when this is here? All in all we had a fantastic stay and slept like logs. I wanted to go back as soon as we left- We will be back
