OK, be sure to read my review. Based on the other reviews, I almost unchecked out of this hotel. I had checked in on the road and did not look at the reviews and then when I read the reviews, I was like oh I'm in for some trouble. And that why the rate was only 11,000 points and I thought to myself this is gonna be brutal but..... when I got the front desk. I asked very nicely if I could have a set of keys and go up and inspect the room before I brought anything in out of my car. They let me do that and I walked into the room and it was spotless. As they said, they refresh the rooms so it appears that the bathrooms were redone and I just felt overall that it was gonna be a good inexperience for 11,000 points or $94 for a 15 minute drive to St. Louis. I did talk to the front desk about the plethora of bad reviews in the past and even recently. And all the gentlemen could do tactfully was say that there is now a new management team at the hotel, and they are working diligently to gain the trust of the Marriott Bon Voy travelers . What I would suggest and what I would do exactly is I would leave everything in the car and check into the hotel, walk up with your set of keys and inspect room and if the room doesn't meet your expectations calmly walk downstairs and ask for another room. Well definitely better the second time I stayed here. Oh yea this is the second time. The rooms were renovated since the last time I was here. I would have given a 1 the first time but now a 3 seems fitting. Renovation was good but the rooms are a tad small. Friendly front desk staff. The price was 86 a night which really helped with the decision to stay again. I'll check out the feee breakfast in the morning. Given how everything is now I would stay here the next time I'm in town. read more

The hotel suffered extensive damage due to sprinkler leaks. No food or bar was available. Check in was through the conference entrance. Hotel had plenty of time to notify us and allow us time to relocate. They chose not to and even offered ONLY a $15/room discount. We were a group of students (11 in our party) + other family members (3-4 more rooms). Marriott should shut this down until it's up to standard and they should refund any $ we paid to stay here. Bed seemed old & lumpy. Shower water pressure was in between a trickle and normal. Other party members had non-working TV's and lights. Elevator took 14 minutes to get to our 4th floor. The staff wasn't able to put all 7 rooms on one bill and no invoice unless you ask for it to be printed which has to happen after the night audit. Recommendation is, don't stay here. read more

So I made reservations in March of 2022 for my family's Memorial Day trip this past weekend, and due to some changes, I needed to upgrade the room. So I called the hotel to see if I could make the needed changes. Well, thankfully I called because otherwise I wouldn't have known that I no longer had a "valid" reservation as the entire hotel had been booked for a wedding, and it was booked in March of 2021. So whyyyyyyy was I allowed to book a room in March of 2021 in Bonvoy???? Because clearly, SOMEONE didn't do their darn job! Well as I was informed about this from the person who answered (who unbeknownst to me was the Gen Mgr) actually displayed not an ounce of empathy, concern, never apologized for the mishap....NOTHING! All he said was he could see if the best western motel in Caseyville had a room but they likely didn't. I told him that I don't want to stay in Caseyville & definitely won't stay in a hotel and he was pretty much like ok....huh? He did nothing to rectify his hotel's error. Extremely upset and frazzled, I got online and started see what other Marriott properties had vacancies. When I saw the the Fairfield Inn in O'Fallon had some, I called the location to ensure I wouldn't run into the same debacle when I'd booked via Bonvoy. Let me tell you what....I had such a delightful experience with the staff at this location, Alyssa, Treasure & Jennifer know how to treat guests! I shared with them what happened and each time I encountered them, they expressed their gratitude for me selecting their location! Needless to say, this will be where we'll exclusively stay when we visit home in ESTL! Supremely done, Fairfield Inn -O'Fallon staff!....and the facility was immaculate! read more

This place needs to understand the rule of the do not disturb sign. Knocking on my door at 9am with my sign up and it's not even close to checkout. Promised complimentary breakfast when we checked in and then go down to breakfast, they said they weren't doing it that morning. Staff just does not seem to care. First of all...I should have looked at the Yelp reviews PRIOR to booking and staying at this property! As a Bonvoy Titanium member with about 110 nights this year, one would think that I didn't need to do so...live and learn. I will start with the things I can identify as positives. There was plenty of parking. Very few people using this hotel. Everything "smelled" clean, and the bed was comfortable. Now my experience... Prior to arrival I received a notification that I had been upgraded, but then couldn't find it when I arrived at the hotel. When I finally did find it the next day, it was for a stay the following week. Anyway, I digress. When I walked in to the property, the person behind the desk was sitting on a low chair and mostly hidden from view - he never stood up out of his seat while he was talking to me. His laptop was sitting open on the desk, which was occupying most of his attention. He asked my name and I provided it. I said that I thought that I had received an upgrade notification, and he said yes...you have been upgraded to a double. Upgrade from a King room to a Double room? He said that it was a "deluxe queen". OH...my skeptical reply. After I finished checking in, I took the elevator to the 4th floor. My first impression was a bit of shock. Most every room on the floor had the garbage cans sitting in the hall. Not a very appealing visual - especially for what I am accustomed to with Marriott. I opened my door and it was a normal double room. I was a bit miffed to say the least, since I had reserved a King room. I had to go back to my car, so I stopped at the desk on the way out. I told the same person that for the record a double was NOT an upgrade from a King. His reply? I never told you that you were upgraded. Enter anger and a louder voice. This guy just straight up lied to my face. I told him that I wanted to be in the room that I booked. During the exchange, someone in a position of authority walked by and asked him if he was ok. I replied that he was OK, but I was not. I explained the issue and he again said "I never told you that I was upgrading you". I said, "well you did, but you actually downgraded me". The first words out of the other persons mouth...he is a Titanium. No surprise...they probably don't get many at this property. She ended up giving me an upgrade to a "suite". It's fair to say that it was an upgrade, but why didn't the first person give me the upgrade that I was entitled to if it was available in the first place? I went to the room and on the way found a broom and dust pan leaning against the wall in the hallway. The room was indeed a suite, but without a fridge, water damage on the wall, the conditioner was completely out. Now, after the experience checking in, everything is adding more and more frustration. I got the cold stare from this guy every time I entered the building...well, it wasn't for long because he was blocked by his laptop. I would stay far away from this property. I keep wondering what my status with Marriott is actually worth. It shouldn't matter whether someone has status or not, they should be treated as a customer, and welcomed to the property. I felt like my presence was an imposition. With all of the bad reviews, I am actually surprised that they maintain their affiliation with Marriott. read more

The place looks nice but the cleanliness of the rooms and linen is horrible. Had towels that were dirty. Housekeeping was very poor. The soap dish looked like it hadn't been clean in months. The towels I used and put on the floor were just folded and put back like they had been washed. As a Marriott Platinum Elite member, I expected much better. This not my first time at this hotel, but it will most certainly be my last. Less than 15 minutes ago, I arrived back to my hotel room with my family. We have been away from the hotel since around 10:00 AM this morning visiting family and friends. When we came to our hotel door, we found that it was ajar! We didn't leave our door open. We know housekeeping came in here after we left because our beds were made and towels were replaced so housekeeping must not have checked to ensure the door was closed when they left. This is absolutely unacceptable to me! It's Christmas time so our room had gifts in it that have been opened on Christmas Day. By the grace of God, none of our items appear to be missing, but it's so unsettling that our room was open to all until we got here. My husband went and talked to the person at the front desk. They said they'd talk to the manager and they gave him some free breakfast passes. I guess I should be happy they were apologetic, but I'm very disappointed and displeased. In addition to the door being open, the hotel overall is kind of meh. Our room had water stains on the ceiling, the desk chair was peeling, the sheets were ripped/had holes, and it just was a kind of blah feel. I literally told my husband (before the open door incident) that I didn't want to come back here again because I just wasn't feeling how thrown together this hotel is for a Sheraton. It looks rundown on the inside. I'd rather pay more to feel more relaxed in the future when we visit this area. I do not recommend this hotel even if you're getting a discount on the price. Nice Hotel. Good food in the restaurant. They have a bar. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and spacious. Hotel is conveniently just off rt 64. Solid hotel. I was worried that the community around it wouldn't be very safe but there did not seem to be any imminent danger. The front desk employees were extremely friendly and helpful. The interior, notably the lobby and the restaurant, had a very country-style feel that I rarely see from hotels. My one problem was that the bed sheets and the pillows had holes in them that seemed like they were moth-bitten. The furniture is also a bit old. read more

But since my Jeep was towed at the Auto shop, which my Jeep was programmed to open the garage door to let me in the house through the garage door, and I didn't have a key to the door, I ended up getting a room at the Four Points Sheraton hotel in Fairview Heights, IL. I was able to rest, and decompress. Still feeling frustrated, I had to check out at 11am. Not knowing what time my friend would be dun with work, I asked Darlene Williams if it's ok, can I please wait in the lobby for a couple of hours till I get picked up to leave to my friends house, wait at her house till I can get back into my house. Darlene greeted me with an enthusiastic vibrant energy and said absolutely, she asked me if I wanted water, and told me I can watch tv in the lobby, handed me the remote control to the TV and told me to watch whatever I wanted to watch. Her compassion and empathy for me made me feel a whole lot better. She didn't treat me as a number. Other Hotel employees across the world needs to take a few pages from her book when it comes to customer service. I also need to mention, as I was sitting in the lobby watching tv, I witnessed a hotel guest politely complains about his incorrect credit card charge.Darlene apologized for a wrong charge on his credit card. Darlene looked at the guest's charge carefully, & immediately apologized to the guest for the wrong charge on his credit card; she told the guest not to worry, she was going to make amends for the incorrect credit card charge and she apologized to him.The guest graciously thanked Darlene Williams. Disliked · Male Night receptionist not helpful. The towels were not clean in room 236. I asked night receptionist for toothbrush he said they ran out of toothbrushes. I asked if their was soap and shampoo and he said yes. But when I got ready to shower, their was no soap in the dispenser so I used shampoo to wash my body. Towels were either stained or had blue toothpaste on it. Room had an odor. I took pictures of the towels. Darlene Williams should get 10 Stars for her genuine compassion for guests , going above and beyond , vibrant energy. Darlene shows dedication for Sheraton Hotel, and dedication to her Hotel Guests. She is definitely an asset to Sheraton Hotel and hard to find dedicated hotel receptionist these days. I hope her boss gives her at least a $2 or more an hour for her raise. Once again, after confirming a late check-in early in the day, prior to our flight, we arrived at 10pm and was told they overbooked intentionally and we no longer had a reservation. He eventually gave us a room explaining he would just give us someone else's room! No working blow dryer in our room, and no replacement was available because he said EVERY ROOM in the hotel was occupied. To top it off, no coffee in the morning in the lobby or the restaurant ran out as well. WORST SERVICE EVER. read more

After making complaints that there was blood and dirt on our pillow cases the room service came in to change our both beds and sheets. We will never stay at another Sheraton or other affiliated hotel after learning that a guest, a new mother was shamed and told to leave for breastfeeding WITH A COVER in the lobby of your hotel while her room was being cleaned and she could not find privacy. We did not realize family oriented activities such as feeding our children are not welcome here, so neither are our time or our wallets. A public support group of over 80,000 currently active US-based mothers are attempting to console the poor woman who is now terrified of feeding her child anywhere because she was told it was offensive to other guests by one of your employees. When did this woman's decision to breastfeed become your front desk persons job to manage and remove? We are shocked, saddened, and appalled by the behavior of your staff. read more

You can't go wrong with Four Points. I have stayed here 4-5 times and its always been consistent. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are what you would expect. The room I had (2 queens) was plenty big and had a great view of the Illinois cornfields. Sounds hokey, but kind of cool to look out on the scenery. Get a room on the away from teh front of the building so you arent woken up by the early risers. Convenient to the interstate and not too far from mall in o'fallon and other standard chain restaurants. Nice to have free wifi and water in the room. read more

On line it says there is room service and a restaurant with the desirable outside seating. Also says enhanced Covid cleaning in all public places, and disinfecting wipes in room. That's why I chose this place over others. Actually restaurant and room service is closed "for Covid", no way to get drink, no outside seating. All public spaces actually roped off, so no cleaning required. No wipes in room as was advertised. Gym closed. It just wasn't what was advertised. The hotel room was filthy and there were no other rooms available. When we checked in we were told to "conserve" our towels because there were no more available and housekeeping had left for the day. When we got in our room there were only two bath towels which is not enough for three guests. There was also a used bar of soap in the shower which obviously indicates the shower had not been cleaned since the last guest. During normal circumstances this is not acceptable but particularly during a pandemic guests would expect higher standards for cleanliness. When we booked the room we were told continental breakfast was still being provided; however, when I inquired about the breakfast times upon check-in, I was told that this had stopped but the manager was buying danishes himself for guests and that we had to show up early if we wanted to get one. I wanna start off by saying that the manager at the front desk was absolutely delightful. Apparently she remembers everybody's name and was really doing her best to make her stay a good one. The check in process was ok- and that was the highlight. The woman who checked us in was efficient but flippant/short with us. Boards in the lobby area told us of improvement construction occurring in the hotel, which the woman didn't mention, nor did we see it on the website when booking. We did receive breakfast vouchers (as we had booked them with our room), but no mention as to service times. We got to our room and noticed the walls were scratched, but chalked it up to being why renovations were occurring. The beds were standard. When it came time for a shower, things seemed normal until I finished and stepped out into a lake on the bathroom floor. My husband and I mopped it up with towels and when we left for dinner, mentioned it to the same lady at the front desk and she says "I'll tell engineering." And promptly turns around and goes to the back, no "our apologies" or "can I bring you more towels." No worries, we can get fresh towels tomorrow when housekeeping comes. Spoiler alert: we didn't. The next morning we got up and were getting dressed when housekeeping knocked at 8 am. My husband requested them to give us about 10 minutes and we would be leaving for the day. The housekeeper responded "We leave at 1. You have to tell the front desk." No worries, but also that gives you 5 hours to return to us. We went down to breakfast, a buffet off the main lobby. There was a good selection of fruits, yogurt, juice and standard pastries as well as a "hot buffet." The food, from scrambled eggs to sausage to biscuits was ice cold. Each of the 3 mornings we ate here (we bought the breakfast as part of our room stay), the food was luke warm at best. As we left, I stopped at the front desk and mentioned that we would like housekeeping. The young man said "no worries" and immediately radioed our room number to housekeeping. After a day out in the city, we came back to the room, exactly as we left it- no cleaning, nothing. I went back downstairs and explained, including the fact that we had used all towels to clean up the faulty shower. The woman who originally checked us in was there and she rolled her eyes at us and huffed off to get us 2 bath towels. No hand towels or wash clothes, no apologies, no polite interaction at all. Back in the room, we discovered that the shower was adjusted, but certainly not fixed and we made another trip for towels. My husband mentioned "let's go relax in the hot tub," so we suited up and went downstairs. The hot tub area is now a planted garden- in the hotels' defense it doesn't advertise a hot tub, although typically the mention of a "pool and spa" suggests a hot tub. We turned to check out the pool and... it was disgusting. Various articles of clothing were strewn about, including children's underwear, plus used towels draped and thrown multiple places. The pool itself looked as though it might have been growing a bit of scum, like when pool water becomes stagnant. It also smelled pretty mildew-y. We left, but in hindsight I wish we had taken a picture because it was a wreck. We never ended up with housekeeping (the second days' excuse was "you had the do not disturb sign out," which was not true because our room didn't even have one) and the staff was pretty unwelcoming. The room was dingy and we were mildly uncomfortable the whole time. Ultimately, I regret spending 3 nights here. We have stayed at a Four Points hotel in Florida before with a great experience, but this one was miserable. We try our best to stay open minded, but the only redeeming part of this stay is that we were only 7 minutes from my brother in law's apartment and we were able to see him. I'm surprised and disappointed that Marriott would have such an inferior product as this hotel. read more

This hotel was a wonderful experience as far as staff is concerned. Unfortunately, our family takes covid extremely seriously. We have a baby and elderly in our immediate family that we care for while others seem to be selfish in their own right. That being said, this hotel allowed several guests to not where masks in and around the facilities. We stayed at a hotel up the street two months ago that only allowed 2 guests per elevator and masks were 100% required. These are both Marriott hotels, so I was quite appalled at the difference. Management needs to take this pandemic more seriously. Other than that, if you don't at all care about Covid, it is an okay hotel. read more

I dont know how sheraton can put they're name on this place. It is so run down that it is unbelievable! Carpet is horrendous. The double beds are very small. Two can not sleep on one. There was probably 10% of rooms occupied and they did not have a king bed available. No micro or fridge. Breakfast was horrible. Everything cold, even the coffee. I was a little apprehensive staying here, but ended up at this location because all of the other Starwood properties were booked in St. Louis. The staff was SUPER friendly upon check in and thereafter. I was there for 3 nights and every time I came and went the staff was always checking in to see if I needed anything. The hotel property itself was on par with other Sheraton Four Points. Certainly not glamorous, but the beds were comfortable, room was clean, bathroom was ok, and the amenities were small but functional. I had dinner from room service the night I arrived, and it came quickly and was bar food quality / price. They had breakfast available in their restaurant (you have to pay about $10 for it), and it looked good. They also had a cute bar area and a weekly social with free drinks while I was there. Location was far for me, but I was communicating to St. Louis. There were lots of restaurants and shopping centers close by - mostly with chain restaurants and fast food establishments. All and all, this hotel exceeded by expectations for a Sheraton Four Points, mostly because of the staff and upkeep of the particular property. read more

The nicest staff! From the front desk to the dining area. We left our daughters stuff otter and they so kindly hung on to it till we made our way back through and were just so fun and easy to deal with. Joan in the dining room was such a sweet lady and chatted so kindly even though the ac was not working and she was so hot! Darlene up front was so helpful, funny and kind. My husband and I had reservations to stay five nights here. We arrived at the hotel and were told they had no rooms because a party had booked the hotel a year earlier and all rooms were taken. We booked our rooms three months earlier. I spoke with the manager and he stated there was a computer glitch and it was unfortunate but they had no rooms. I explained that we had just flown in and had no where else to stay. He literally did not care. He said that's unfortunate. Although it was their error and all other hotels in the area were booked because it was a holiday weekend, they did nothing to accommodate us or assist with finding another hotel. Four Points by Sheraton are typically nice hotels, and we had a good couple of stays at this location in particular. We stayed here a couple of times and for several nights at a time, and every time we encountered good service and clean rooms. The hotelstaff is friendly and accomodating, and the front desk ladies are a hoot. Since we stayed there relatively frequently we hit it off well, and they really treat their guests very well. On Tuesdays (I believe) is their Manager Appreciation day, which entails appetizers, snacks and complimentary drinks on the house. It is like Happy Hour but better, since it is free. I was a big fan of the chickenwings, the sauce in which they smother these is fingerlickin' good. Rooms are contemporary, spacious and very, very clean. The beds are comfortable and provide a good nights rest. I have a touchy back, and normally I am a mess if I don't stay in my own bed. My back never once bothered me when we stayed here. The shower has decent water pressure, which is actually quite important to me. Overall a great place to stay. Close enough to restaurants and stores, as well as main roads. If we ever get back to this area we won't hesitate and stay here again. read more

Not bad at all. I stayed here 12/18-12/20 We had a bunch of people staying at our place so we got this room for a few days. Comfortable beds and the customer service was nice. One of our lamps didn't work because the bulb burnt out and the remote was missing of the days. One of the better ones in the area. It is close to everything like I-64 and across the overpass from the mall. If you like Southern Food try out Lotawatta Creek (but you better wear stretchy pants. ) read more

Breakfast conference: Food boring, Room freezing, Sound system fair..

I stayed at the Four Points by Sheraton on a business trip for a conference, which was held at the same hotel, and I'll admit that work or pleasure, I'd be happy to stay at this particular hotel again. The location is perfect in my opinion! Easy to get to right off the interstate (I-64) and in the vicinity of Fairview Heights, Belleville, and O'Fallon, IL. So plenty of shopping and local places to eat (I recommend Bandana's BBQ) or drink. St Louis itself is a short drive (15 mins give or take) so you can take in the sites without dealing with the city if you'd like. Not sure if there are any military folks reading this, but Scott AFB isn't too far either. There is a mall right across the interstate from the hotel, and a cinema right across the street (HWY-159). Again, great location. The room was very nice as well. I had 2 doubles (even though it was just me) and the room was always very clean and well kept. The AC worked liked a charm (business trip in the summer heat!) and the bed was very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful, they told me how to get to the nearest Starbucks when my phone GPS wouldn't. LOL Overall it was a good experience at this location, and a great stay. read more

I was very disappointed . First of all I had no idea the hotel was under construction. I've stayed at other places under construction but this place was The WORST!!!!! The first room they gave us was disgusting it smelled very bad like wet dog or frito dirty feet smell and hadn't been cleaned at all. They then moved us next door from 319 to 321. It was better but not by much. The room was somewhat clean, my husband and I didn't use the shower it was gross. So after 12 hours on the road all we wanted was a nice place to rest our heads and shower to make a fresh start of the next day. Neither was accomplished very disappointed . Also after about an hour in our new room you could still smell the room next door. It was worst than a Motel 6 and twice the price . I could go on but I think my point has been made. The General manager is dismissive, unprofessional, and needs to be removed from the property. In my opinion he makes it worse! They don't honor any perks when you're a reward member they lie and say they are booked to deny you late check outs! I was denied one today 12/13 and as he was telling me he has no more of my room type I went to book the exact room type to tell him he's a joke! I just needed 2 extra hours and I was denied even being a platinum member smh read more

Only 2 stars based on two things: 1) my bathroom was pretty gross. Serious need of a cleaning, mold removal, aind re-caulking. 2) this was the worst thing: the walls are paper thin. I could hear any conversation, TV show, or snoring in the next room. Even with my white noise app cranked, nothing would dampen that snoring. 2 nights of poor sleep. Beyond those two things (which are killers for me) the hotel is nice looking. Very friendly staff. And the Wednesday free drinks Manager social is great. read more

I can't believe how this hotel has gone down in quality and staff. I stayed here about a year ago and I don't think that they've cleaned it since my last visit. The shower curtain was completely disgusting as was the area around the tub. It's a shame, the location is great and it's a Sheraton. There are stains throughout the hotel and in the room that I had. I don't know how this hotel is listed on hotel sites as a 3 star hotel. I would make it a 2 star unit. I hope that they clean this place up. I used to really enjoy this place. They even got rid of the nice ice buckets and went with cheap plastic ones that won't hold 2 cans of soda with ice. People probably checked out with the old buckets. read more

I stayed here for a couple of nights. It was a nice hotel, the staff was nice and it was clean. The beds were comfortable as well. The only complaint I have is that there is almost no soundproofing in the walls. The first night I couldn't sleep until about 11:30 because that was when the person in the room next to me decided to finish their cell phone conversation that I could literally hear every word of. The next night I was up every hour from 10 till 4am because the person on the other side was watching CNN and infomercials all night long and I could easily hear them through the wall. Needless to say, I didn't get a lot of sleep. On the plus side, I did have dinner at the restaurant, and it was both reasonably priced, and very good food. They also had local beer on tap which was a huge plus. It didn't make up for being able to hear every sound my neighbors made though. read more
