Went back down for replacement and went back to room. Still didn't work. Had to wait in line each time Shower door could barely be opened from either side with two hands. Very tough to move it even by an able bodied person. Shower floor extremely slippery. Sheets and pillowcases have MANY worn out rough patches in lines like they've gotten caught in washer or dryer? All pilled up and rough like overworn flannel? Can hear and feel every step vibrate above; footsteps sound like thunder and small children sound like elephants running. Stains on pull down shade. No complimentary breakfast. Really disappointing. As a 26 year Marriott rewards member, this was really a downer. It was much better four years ago. read more

Horrible experience. My flight got delayed so I called them to let them know I would be in a day late, they said . They ended up cancelling my entire reservation and then I've got to the hotel and they told me that they had no rooms available. The bar and restaurant was not open during the hours. It was supposed to be open. I haven't seen it open once in my entire stay. It took me 30 minutes to get an energy drink added to my room because she didn't know how. The pillows had maybe five feathers in them total there was no way to change the temperature of the room. It was freezing. No extra blankets. No one answered the phone when I called to the front desk. The water in the shower was literally coming out red.... Which is terrifying. When I checked in, I asked for a late checkout because my flight was not until later in the day they said OK no problem. When the lady called me to tell me I needed to get out of my room. I told her I had a late checkout. She gave me attitude and I still had cleaned banging on my door every 30 minutes. As I was checking out, I asked for a drink to be on my room and I told the lady my room number she goes aren't you supposed to be checked out right now you said you'd be done at 1:30 it's 2. I looked down at my phone and I said it's 120 and my luggage is in my hand. I am leaving. Highly recommend to look for another hotel vs staying here. read more

FRAUDULANT CHARGES: This hotel charged my debit card for the hotel restaurant on Black Friday 9 months after my stay. When disputed I was blown off and ignored. I had to shut down access to my bank account over the holiday weekend. After circling to a full year since my stay, sending proof of charge, and not going away, the final response was that they have no record of the charge, but they "did have some accidental offline charges that they put through at that time" They provided no proof that a charge was owed to them and claim to have no record that they charged it. They told me to have my bank fight it and use a credit card in the future so it's easier to dispute. As they admitted it wasn't just me, I wonder how many other people got a fraudulent charge conveniently over the busiest credit card spending weekend of the year and didn't even notice read more

I was expecting a little more than what I experienced. It wasn't a bad stay, but I was underwhelmed. This is a fairly new hotel, but the furnishings looked worn enough to make you think it has been here for 15 years. It was clean, so no complaints there. Front desk was friendly. It was loud. I could hear noise coming from the hall, rooms on both sides and above. I would expect some, but this seemed excessive based on other stays at different hotels. I will likely stay here again because of location to restaurants and the Toll Road. read more

The hotel is in excellent condition. The gym is huge and has all equipment you need. The pool is small but warm. This hotel use to have better service. They use to have a great restaurant. I've stayed here at least five times and things have diminished. Last time they told me they didn't have certain meals due to a transition in ownership. This time, there was no excuse they did not having simple breakfast items like fruit at all on my four day stay. Also, they will not serve you a coffee. You have to get up and go to the lobby where you make it yourself. I've never been to hotel restaurant that won't serve a coffee. Keep in mind staff is not overwhelmingly busy. The staff is always nice. However, they are constantly sitting and on their phones. That includes the restaurant and front desk. If I were in management, I would find some work related tasks for them to do so at least appear busy at work. You also cannot tell some of the staff from guests. They dress casual. Because they are on their phones, you don't recognize them as staff right away. The person who checked me in seemed out of it. She did not check how many nights i was staying and even when I told her she forgot again. She was polite and nice. I attribute this to being wrapped up in the phone prior to my arrival at the desk. The cleanliness is great. The rooms are cleaned well. However they missed my room cleaning one day. This happens more and more at Marriott's across the US. Cleaning seems to be something extra. They did come to my room but I was I in it. I left prior to 11 am and did not come back until after 6 pm so I don't think they tried a second time. I stopped by the desk the next day and they took the matter seriously and cleaned the room that day. In my room, the sink stopper did not go all the way up so the water did not drain quickly. I didn't report it because I don't like more people than needed in my room. I think this is just an eye to detail. Probably a 10 min fix by a handyperson. The gym is one of the reasons I stay. However the clock is not working, the paper towel dispenser is out and there is a sign saying we are to wipe equipment but there are no wipes. These aren't major issues but again eye to detail is needed. I use to love the restaurant and even bring family for dinner. When I arrived there was loud rap genre music playing. I didn't try dinner this time. I did not hear it again during my stay but with the lack of food options and music, I wasn't going to risk inviting family for dinner. We found another alternative.The restaurant use to have a pleasant low key feel. Hope they turn it around. It has been my favorite hotel in Elkhart for a few years. read more

I was hosting a small business get together at the four points across the street that lost WiFi. With this being under the same umbrella chain, I stopped in and explained the situation and the gentleman at the desk was very welcoming. Once my team arrived Megan gave us a bucket of ice for the water bottles I brought in and then offered the conference room at no charge. We felt very welcome and will be recommending this for future use! Keep up the great service! read more

I get off the turnpike and this place is not easy to find. It's tucked behind another hotel chain. I walk in and Brad (I believe that was his name) said are you checking in after me standing there with my bag for 5 min. Doesn't really acknowledge me or anything thing pleasant. Very cold and out off and kind of rude without really saying anything. So, I get my key and he says elevator is behind ya. Doesn't mention anything about breakfast, when the reason is open and not open nothing! Get to the room and it was clean for the most part except the bathroom. Gross I know! I go down to the bar and Adam says "whatcha drinking?" I ordered he says you going to eat? I said "could I have a menu please". I ordered a burger and fries. Beer is already gone and he doesn't ask if I want another one. Food comes out sets in front of me and walks away. Doesn't say a word! I look around and tables behind me had silverware, napkins and salt on the table so I go get it because he was to busy on his phone! Worst service ever!!!! After I ask for the bill he then says you want another beer? I just asked for the check!!!! I will NEVER stay here again when in town. Bad vibe, bad service and just not my place. 1 Bad Apple ruins the Bunch! Most of the facilities, staff, and management were pleasant, but.... Here's a warning - the night manager Abi is completely irrational and spiteful - something is wrong with her, seriously. My review reflects Abi ruining a family trip / vacation. Abi will crash your visit with her hate of children; she works nights. I don't typically leave negative reviews, but this experience is warranted. Abi hates fun; she closes the pool one-hour early. Abi will scream, yell, and turn off the lights to get her way to shut down all hotel amenities before the sun sets, while yelling at your kids and you, as you try to go to your room. Something is seriously wrong with Abi. Otherwise, the highlights are the complimentary breakfast vouchers, as promised by the manager. Nancy - front desk days is fabulous and professional. Janet in food service and the beverage bartender, (name unknown) - may make your day with Joe child-friendly they are. Janet is a hoot, especially with the kids, because she's no nonsense and understanding! read more

Very solid experience - place looked brand new. Like some of the other reviewer, it was hard to find, but once in, I was happy. Rooms are standard business hotel size, everything was neat and tidy, bed was very comfortable. Front desk staff was very efficient, check in and out very smooth. Very nicely appointed hotel, (rooms a bit sparse) although it's tucked back behind other hotels and the signage to get in is very difficult to see at night with no lighting..(none of the street lights were working when we went there last night)..but the rooms are very nice, the lobby is very attractive..beds comfortable but it was hard to regulate our room ac/heat. This is one of the better hotel experiences I've had. First, anybody going to Elkhart is probably first faced with the prospect of finding a safe place to stay. I found this hotel, and all of the places nearby, to be safe - despite the city's crime rate. But, beyond that, they were so accommodating. I got a great price from one of those online services, but I found myself driving in much earlier in the morning than I'd anticipated. They got me an early early check-in, so I could get some rest before a meeting later in the day. Beyond that, they had a great in-house restaurant. Not great as in great food, but serviceable food with lots of guilty pleasure type offerings. The food was kind of hit or miss because the dessert was still a little frozen inside, but it was exactly what you wanted at the end of the day, being hungry, wanting decent food, and but not wanting to venture out. Dollar for dollar, it was an excellent value. Would stay here if ever again in Elkhart. Room was as expected. read more

Not good at all. Thought I would try Four Point by Sheraton as a Marriott brand, I usually stay at Courtyard when traveling for business. FPS Elkhart was very poor. Room was marginally clean, tile floor in entry was filthy. No bar soap provided or available at front desk for shower. I don't like the whole communal toiletry thing, but usually they always have bar soap available, which is what I prefer for shower. Restaurant included bkfast but it never arrived, after waiting an hour I left and walked over to Cracker Barrel. Stay at Courtyard across the street, it can't be any worse then this place! read more

The rooms were clean and the AM staff for breakfast was top notice. We were in town for a large swim meet and parents gathered together for the evening at the tables to enjoy ones company until midnight. Abi is one very rude PM worker. Yelling and screaming to get her way to force us out of the lobby restaurant is unacceptable. Turning off lights thinking this would make us leave. It's sad that one adult can ruin a stay away. Not to mention porn was on the one TV while in the lobby. We knew it would be a problem when we had to ask twice for it to be turned off and Abi was then set off. read more

This should be a zero star review, but 90% of the staff here deserve all five. The evening hospitality (it's a stretch to call it that) dramatically lowers the average, unfortunately. We booked as part of a block for the weekend and inquired about the use of common areas upon check in. We were assured that adults were welcome to use the lobby in the evening, something that a group of parents traveling with their teens and tweens looks forward to every summer. On night #1, our casual get-together was interrupted by a staff member walking into the room and yelling (no, not speaking) that she needed us to be quiet and that she could not "hear herself think". We were all dumbfounded and attempted to discuss the situation with her, but were repeatedly answered with sarcasm and snark. Weird isn't the right word for it, but I struggle to find a better one. Our plight escalated when we realized that on the common area television next to our table- in direct sight of the middle school girls that were with us and a family with children behind us- was what we could only describe as...the Porn Awards? We asked for the station to be changed. It was not. The Porn Awards quickly escalated and we were faced with a screen full of very realistic looking...appendages. We asked again for a channel change. We got it, but begrudgingly and for some reason, I left feeling like maybe the Porn Awards were my fault? Again, weird. We were delighted when we returned on our second evening and we're surrounded by kind and hospitable staff. That was short lived, however, when our friend from night #1 returned and began to yell (YELL) again. We were told that the lobby closed in an hour, but that she was essentially done with us and that she was "turning off the lights." Turn off the lights, she did, leaving a table full of middle aged parents to sit in the dark. Note- we were NOT asked to leave and as most of us were waiting for teenagers to return from a walk to Steak and Shake for milkshakes, we had no intentions of leaving until our children arrived safely. It's ok, though, because the Elkhart police were called to wait with us. Embarrassing, horrifying, and worst of all- what a waste of resources. The room was clean, the facility was nice. I never did get the extra towels that I requested so that we had at least one for each member of my party, and it was difficult to request and track down enough pillows and bedding for my children and myself, as well. We received them on the fourth try and they were clean and comfortable when we eventually did. read more

This is 11pm on July 9 2022, the same night I checked in, 3 hours after I arrived, with my wife and my 10 months and 4 years. I just finished shower in the room 221, our 3rd room, and waiting for my wife's text to inform me that our kids all asleep. So I could return to the room 402, our 2nd room, to let she come to take the shower in the 3rd room and return the key card to the front desk. Yes, it's a bit complicated and nonsense. This is the worst service I've ever experienced in my whole life. 1. I booked the hotel using Priceline, and when I arrived this lady at front desk claimed the virtual card the Priceline provided is not valid, and I need to contact the Priceline to make it right. When I asked if they could help call since it's the problem between the hotel and the Priceline. She said no it's not her problem and started to talk to the next customer. So I called and waited. It turns out this is her problem. The Priceline called her and they solve the problem between them. It took me 30min to check in. 2. I was offered the room 413. The ceiling light is out. The tissue box is empty. The light in the restroom mirror is flickering. So we asked to change the room. 3. I was then offered the room 402. It was already 9pm, 1 hour after we arrived. We started to unpack again and giving bath to kids. We brought our own compact bath tub for kids. When our 4 years old was done and we pour the water into the hotels bath tub we noticed it was clogged. It didn't drain, at all. I don't want to change room again since we are fully unpacked and setup for our kids. So I called the front desk and she said she would see if she could send someone up. So I waited, for 20 minutes, then I went down to the lobby. The same lady then said ionly she and the bartender was on site and no one could fix it until tomorrow. She didn't inform this in my call, she didn't call back if she's not aware of this in the first place and she didn't even apologize but give a face that I could leave now. I tried to be polite and said all I need is a good shower, I can not do it with the clogging. Still no apology and she answered yes she could fix it tomorrow but she couldn't do anything now. She made it like it's my fault and she was doing me a favor. She didn't even bother to offer to change the room. So I asked for the change, again. She searched carefully and gave me my 3rd room, 221, two levels below the 402. I asked if she could give me a room at 4th floor. She said no because the room left on the 4th floor was not the type of my reservation. I said do you understand how much inconvenient caused me here? That was my second room already. Can't you just give me any room on the 4th floor? Yes but no, no room for me on the 4th floor. She said either I take the room or she has the clog fixed tomorrow, there's nothing else she can do. Fine, I was exhausted. So I asked can I keep both cards so I could bring only essentials to my new room two levels below and do the packing tomorrow? I have two kids and a lot of stuffs. No. Then I said ok, I can keep the 2nd room, all I need is a shower room. Can you give me a 4th floor room just for shower? No, but she allow me to shower in the 221 but I had to return the key card when I finished. It's so late, way past my kids sleep time. I gave up arguing. So here I am, had my 10 months bathed on the 2nd floor and put both in bed on the 4th floor and return to the 2nd floor for my own shower and waited until they asleep so I wouldn't disturb them when I return and my wife could take her turn. This experience is absurd. It's 2AM now, I'm still awake, angry and upset. I just need a clean place to take a hot shower and a good sleep after 8 hours driving. I should be doing plan for my family for tomorrow's trip to the field museum and aquarium, but instead I am writing this review. what a waste. Good night. read more

I stayed here a couple of times in the past with a decent experience, but this most recent time was just atrocious. Rather than bars of soap and bottles of shampoo and conditioner in the shower, here they have dispensers of each mounted on the shower wall. On my first morning, I found there was no conditioner and very little body wash in the dispensers. I managed to scrape just enough out of each dispenser to take a shower, and that afternoon from work I called the hotel to ask them to please refill the dispensers. The lady at the front desk assured me she would tell the cleaning staff, but in fact they didn't refill the dispensers at all, and the next morning I had to use the single bar of face soap to take a shower. I made sure to take the tops off the dispensers so it would be very obvious to the cleaning crew that they were empty. I then stopped by the front desk before leaving for work and specifically asked the lady to make sure the cleaning crew replaced the dispenser liquid, but when I came home the dispensers had still not been refilled (indeed, the tops were still off the dispensers, indicating that the cleaning crew didn't even bother to look). So tomorrow will be the third straight morning that the dispensers are empty, and either the lady at the front desk didn't communicate to the cleaning crew (which is what I suspect as I've asked her a couple of times) or else the cleaning crew didn't bother to follow up. Either way, it's very irritating and quite inconvenient. The next time I'm in Elkhart on business I'll probably try staying at a different hotel. read more

Beautiful, clean hotel. Fresh coffee every morning. Staff went out of their way to help us. We were there for a wedding and they were so patient and nice even though we had a bit of a bridezilla with us. Amazing staff. Next time I go to an ND game I will forgo Southbend and stay at 4points. read more
