i needed two replacement lamps for my living room and two for my man cave and foundry lighting on the upper east side was the right place to go. yes its a bit more money then going to canal street or online but when time is limited this lighting shop did the job. the place is wall to wall , space to space , nook to nook with many different tyes of lighting pieces and fixtures and i really liked the many styles available on display. i was lucky cause the 4 pieces were in stock and i was able to fit everything in my suv. i instructions were simple to follow and i really did not have much to assemble. will be back soon as my cuz needs some lamps as his apt is dark and needs some good lighting. overall 4 stars on my yelp meter. read more

Don't buy from here if there is even the slightest chance you might have to make a return. The in store customer service was completely unhelpful and the online customer service makes it impossible to find out how to make a return. They do not care about any customer satisfaction or retaining a customer. After already experiencing issues with shipping, there was nothing positive about ordering from this place. read more

Received 2 scones that are crooked. requested a return authorization and sent photos. Have had two conversations with their customer service and I've now been told they need additional photos! I was even told to install the sconces first to make sure they really are crooked!!! Asked to speak with a manager and the manager is now asking for more photo! read more

I had a great experience here buying lights for my apartment. Their designer was hugely helpful in guiding my picks, the selection of lights is lovely and high quality, and the prices were reasonable. I placed an order for three Hudson Valley Lighting 8000-AGB-MS3 Heirloom 1 Light Wall Sconce in Aged Brass last April 2022. They took almost a year to arrive, in March 2023. When they arrived, the color finish was NOTHING like the advertised photo. The photo shows a pretty aged brass, the finish is listed as aged brass. They arrived a bright, shiny light gold. They look cheap and look nothing like the photo. When I contacted customer service about my concerns, they told me the finish will patina. Even though it's not made of unlacquered brass and I feel like the advertised photo and listed finish should be exactly what arrives. Really disappointed. read more

Posted to google too: just thought this should be here also. This store has terrible customer service. I ordered a lighting fixture and an hour later tried to cancel my order by emailing customer service with the provided email. There isn't an alternative way to cancel your order. Two days passed with no response, so I emailed again to avoid them shipping it to me. The second email was at 9:21am, at 9:23 I got a response saying they'd cancel if it hadn't been shipped yet. A few hours later I got another email saying it had been shipped, with a separate email with tracking info. On clicking the tracking info I could see it hadn't shipped but a label was created. It is now over 24 hours later and it still hasn't been received by FedEx but they refuse to cancel my order and have told me it will cost 50% of the total to restock. I find this unacceptable as I tried to cancel the order literally an hour after I placed it and was ghosted so they could play out this restocking scam to take half of my money for nothing. Won't be shopping here again. read more

This is the worst experience I have ever had with ordering on line. When I received the lamp, it was too small for the table I had it mind, it was also too contemporary. I had to pay to ship it back, and then they charged me 20% restocking fee, which was $100.00. A very costly mistake. I would NEVER order from them again no matter how good the price. read more

While the lighting may looks enticing, do your self a favor and NEVER-EVER order from Foundry's online site. The customer service is non-existent. I ordered a beautiful Currey & Company light online which arrived perfectly. BUT, the problems started when I contacted the store LA store nearby where I live to purchase 6 more feet of chain and was told I could only do so through the website. So, I reached out to the online Foundrylighting.com Zen-Desk--talk about and oxymoron--on September 3 and am still waiting to purchase my chain. After going back and forth with several more emails, no progress has been made. Apparently FOUNDRY LIGHTING doesn't need the business because they have done nothing to make sure they continue to get mine. read more

Over the past 3 months I have been finishing the details of a new home. To say the least it has been a bit stressful but my experience with Raquel at Foundry lighting was very good. Without having any experience with choosing light fixtures, Raquel walked me through it with expertise and patience. The website is well done and very easy to navigate. Together over the phone we were able to put it all together beautifully and I could not be happier. The selection and pricing were excellent and all of the products were delivered in no time right to my front door. Raquel and I would be in touch through email and she never left me hanging. I have never had more trouble with a return in my life. I tried a table lamp that was mailed to me. It was initially noted that there would be a delay in mailing, but they actually arrived on time. Because of the anticipated delay, I went another direction with the expectation that I could return the lamps. When the lamps arrived, I opened them to look at their appearance. After a quick look, I placed them back in the box as they were and returned them (at my own $70 expense). I was then informed that I would be subjected to a 20% restocking fee. After the lamps arrived back, they told me that the did NOT pass inspection and no refund would be offered. Tried to call and no one even answered phone. This is one of the worst retailers that I've ever dealt with. read more
