I like this park! I wish there was a little more shade, but they do have lots of trees near the playground, a bathroom, a gazebo, and some picnic tables. Parking is pretty easy unless it's a farmers market day. They have a lot. Overall it's a good setup. read more

Well-maintained park located in the middle of a neighborhood. There's a giant open field that's ideal for running around or kicking a soccer ball. The playground is super nice. It's a bit on the smaller side, but has great shade, a bigger slide and was designed to be inclusive. read more

This is a basic park full of grass and not the 420 kind. Lol. It's like an open field that is probably great for soccer or stick ball but it's not a landmark or anything noteworthy. I only know where it is because the Ladera Ranch farmers market is across the street. read more

Founders park is more or less just your average park that always has the greenest grass you can find at any park! Wile that might be cool that its nice its also a downfall I can't count how many times I've driven by and seen it closed because they dropped more grass seeds they must be forgetting we are in a drought! They have your basic playground that's right next to the school which is also kinda cool because I see the middle school kids running around the park as their type of Fun Run for PE which is pretty cool because not many schools get to share a park with the community. Most parks have pretty horrible restrooms the one here isn't that bad it actually didn't smell and was relatively clean which I was very surprised of because that never happens. Overall this is a great facility I just wish the community would use it for more activities other than the one concert in the park they have every summer because that's pretty much the only reason why I've ever gone here. read more

Founders Park is one of the largest of several parks in Ladera Ranch. It's connected to Elementary and middle school. This park has a beautiful Fire Work show every forth of July with bands, food trucks, activities for kids and much more. The other activities they do is summer concerts which are also a lot of fun and provide many food and drink choices. The park offers a baseball field as well as a playground for the kids. The bathrooms were clean and stocked up. Parking is extremely easy with a large parking lot as well as street parking. This park is clean, and the grass is well kept up. read more

One of mine kept to that while the other ran in the grass! I will definitely return!

We even decided to enroll in his weekly puppy class so that our puppy would learn to behave around other dogs. Despite the name, there definitely aren't 1,000 steps it's closer to about 250 but don't let that fool you. You'll still feel the burn on the way back up! I love bringing my kids here because they're soccer players, and running up and down the stairs is an excellent workout for building endurance and strength. I usually only make it up once because it's no joke! If you're looking for a free cardio workout with a beautiful ocean view, this is the place. The beach itself is gorgeous, with clear water, soft sand, and stunning cliffs surrounding it. It feels a little more secluded than some of the other Laguna beaches because you have to make the trek down the stairs. That's part of what makes it so special. I've visited several times around 6:00 AM, and it's always been peaceful. It's never felt crowded, although you'll definitely see other people getting their morning exercise on the stairs. I've also gone during summer evenings around 7:00 PM, and it's still a beautiful time to visit with cooler temperatures and incredible views. I still need to check it out around midday to see how busy it gets. A couple of things to keep in mind: there are no lifeguards on duty at all times, so be cautious if you're swimming, and the climb back up can be challenging, especially if you're carrying coolers or beach gear. Wear comfortable shoes for the stairs and bring plenty of water. Overall, this is one of my favorite beaches in Laguna Beach. Whether you're going for a workout, relaxing by the ocean, or enjoying the incredible scenery, Thousand Steps Beach is absolutely worth the climb.
