We bought our house is 2014 and, from day one, had a funny water stain spot on the living room ceiling that always appeared on super rainy or snowy days. We had a few companies "fix it" for us in the past but the wet spot always, inevitably, came back. One day, during an ice storm this past winter, the wet spot burst and we had a full out leak in the middle of our living room. In a frenzied panic, we literally just googled roofing companies and called down the list until someone would agree to come that day. The company that came was Leak Stoppers. They came in an ice storm. They climbed ON THE ROOF IN AN ICE STORM. We were already impressed. The man who came (I forgot his name, sorry!), came down from the roof (soaking wet) with photos he'd taken of all the ways that our roof was wonky. It was SO helpful to see everything in pictures instead of just suggestions that I didn't really understand. We signed the estimated proposal that day--it was very reasonable--and were happy to, hopefully, finally put an end to the leak. Unfortunately, the leak came back a little bit the next time it rained, but we knew the work had a five year warranty (and also understand that sometimes things are trial and error). We called again, spoke to a manager (or owner? Again, I'm not sure! Sorry!) and a day or two later, someone was back, working on our roof. This time, it was fixed! For the first time in our 3 years of home ownership, we don't have a funny water stain on our living room ceiling. Working with Denny, Dennis and their work crews was an absolute pleasure. We unfortunately had to stay in our home the entire process, yet the guys were as considerate to our situation as much as was possible. What was most impressive was this company's ability to keep to a schedule, keep their promises and work professionally. You get what you pay for! I had several quotes for less money than Shells Only. They wouldn't return a call, didn't know how to work with the Permits, and generally were unorganized. From the very start, Dennis daughter (forgot her name) work so nicely with my wife picking out hardware for the bathroom, colors and etc. Afterall, if the Mrs. isn't happy ultimately, I won't be happy! The details matter. Shells only paid attention to the details that I requested of them and added some smart recommendations. Even more important to me was finishing the project. My worry was payments were mostly in start of job, will they disappear in the end? Answer, no they finished this job as agreed on time!!! I was lucky to get Denny who as i was told doesn't forman much anymore as he is too valuable to the sales process. So, I got lucky there! I was also pretty sick and tired of having to clean them out multiple times a year due to tree debris filling them. I called a couple of local gutter companies, met a couple of estimators and looked at a number of solutions for protecting the gutters from leaves, etc. Michael Marra, from All Aluminum Gutters stood out. He came out and had a good look, spent time listening to my wants and concerns and showed me a number of solutions. He spent more time than any of the other people I called. Not because he's chatty, but because he really looked at every area and what type of trees were in the area and what type of leaves, etc. I had to deal with. He seemed to know his stuff better than anyone else I had spoken to. We picked 5" seamless with "Waterfall" covers in most areas and in one particular problem area, went with 6" with a fine screen cover and a larger downspout. Now for the best part - his estimate was far and away, the most affordable. We set up a day for installation and right on time his guys, Hymie and Felix, showed up, introduced themselves and asked where they could set up. They gave me a pretty accurate estimate of the time it was going to take them and got busy. They did exactly what we agreed on for exactly the price we agreed on and cleaned up after themselves better than I would have. Outstanding.
