He knows what he's doing and he's constantly paying attention to proper form and to how to up the ante on my strength goals. I've also started getting deep tissue massages with Jay Moran for a long-term shoulder issue that was impeding my strength training. Again, Jay is professional and kind and has helped me gain increased mobility in just a few weeks. What I do know is that it feels good when I move my body in a healthy way. And there is no better place to do that than at Body Soul Personal Training. Eddie Fleury has been my Body Soul personal trainer since February, and it helps to have someone in my corner. I wasn't sure I'd like having a personal trainer. It seemed like a luxury, and I often wondered if I could afford it, if I was worth it, or if I'd see any progress. Today I can say without a doubt that this is the best gift I could have given to myself. I have developed an incredible rapport and trust with Eddie. We work as a team. Each session, Eddie gently adds something new to increase the duration or intensity. So gradually I am building upon what I did the week before. He calls them "progressions." The empirical data show that I have lost weight, inches and body fat; I have gained strength, endurance and flexibility. What is critical, however, is that I have gained more confidence, which cannot be measured with scales and charts. My skin is glowing, my clothes fit better, I am standing taller and I am setting a good example for my family. I am at peace with my body, my age, my abilities, my strengths and my life. Becoming the best version of myself: Strong. Confident. Secure. Powerful. Hopeful. Satisfied. Blessed. Here's to feeling healthy, staying fit and loving life! Here's to Body Soul!

    Where to even begin! I have been with Karen for a year now! What she has done to my life is…read moreimmeasurable. I came to her at my heaviest weight, unconfident and feeling the worst about my body. I knew I needed a change! Over the past year she has kicked my butt and whipped me into shape! She started off slow and kept building and building every week. Each week I was amazed at things I could do so much better than the week before. She pushes you through even when you want to give up because she sees the potential in someone and she won't give up on you! She has not only helped me lose 30lbs and change my body in so many ways but she has also given me so much self confidence and made me feel so strong. Like a lot of people we used to be super fit, but found ourselves entering the next phase of our lives looking for someone to get us back on track. She has been amazing. One of the things that really makes Karen stand out is the focus she has when you're in a session with her. She follows your moves closely and always ensures that you have proper positioning with the weights so that you get the most out of your workout and you don't injure yourself. She also is incredibly understanding and compassionate and is heart centered in all that she does.     LOVE this gym…read more Clean. New. Bright. Vibrant. Very updated space. Locker rooms are nice, feels extremely high-end for a gym. Classes are great - Yoga, Zumba, and Step are favorites. Decent schedule and variety. All instructors are great. Offers once a week free Zumba to check-out the gym. Separate room for women-only workouts, which is a nice option. Staff is friendly and accommodating. They are always looking to improve. A little pricier than other gyms in the area - if you aren't going to attend any classes, I am not sure if the added expense would be worth it. But if you like gym classes at all.... ABSOLUTELY worth checking out.

They have every type of class under the sun - spinning, zumba, cardio kickboxing, indoor…read morerowing (the only place in RI), dance, hardcore boot camp, trx training, you name it, they have it. I think my favorite part about this gym is the excellent temperature control. Nothing's worse than a room temperature gym. All of the rooms for classes (each class has it's own room because the place is HUGE) are decorated, classy, and properly cooled. They have smaller sized changing room then is normal for most gyms, but it does have two showers, two bathrooms, and two sinks. Lockers and towels are free. There are plenty of machines, a room for women only, and from what I've seen it's never been too busy. 426 looks like a big warehouse, but they've done a really nice job with it. The manager, Paul, is also very nice - you can get a free 3 day pass to try out the gym and there are a ton of different priced membership/qasi-membership options depending on what you want to use the gym for. They have a parking lot off of Rosa street, with plenty of parking.

The owners of the club are very friendly, and take the time to make you feel at home. Not to mention, members here are relatively courteous and respectful. Great Communication, too. If there is something that is not right... they usually post that they are addressing it on one of the many boards located around the club. The equipment types and variations are very broad. I'd find it very hard to believe that if there's an exercise that you wish to perform, that with what they have available, it's possible. I've been to gyms in the past and had to work out on ripped and torn pads, squeeky or loose pulley systems, to dirty dumbbells. Waiting and waiting for that one bench that someone is hogging for 45 minutes while they are on a cell phone. That does not seem to exist here. Everything they have is in very good condition and are well taken care of. This gym doesn't usually get all that busy, especially during peak times (4-6pm). There is usually ample space and machines are typically free when you need them. I've never personally had an issue. This is one of the cleanest gyms, if not the cleanest, which I feel is very important, and judging by how other members are careful to clean machines, it's also important to them as well. I highly recommend this gym.
