Threw my back out (it's a recurring issue, roughly once a year this one muscle decides to be a brat) on Sunday. Found her on Yelp on Monday as my regular RMT is out with a wrist injury. She was amazing. I have big loyalty to good massage therapists and she's definitely on my to-call list now. She pulled apart my muscle spasm in the most comfortable way possible. I'm normally super sensitive and twitchy during massages but she was able to fix the problem while allowing me to basically fall asleep on the table. Sadly I am a person who has suffered from several accidents and therefore have become a connoisseur of supplemental medicine. Lonni has been my massage therapist for a couple of years now and has been a life saver, consistently delivering the most therapeutic massages I have received. She has great knowledge of anatomy and excels with deep tissue massage. She has a great little space at a very convient location in gastown. Lonni Farmer, RMT is an exceptionally gifted massage therapist. My goal each session is to relax. She provides the perfect balance of Swedish and Deep Tissue. She often uses arms and elbows to glide slowly and confidently down my back, hips, legs and arms. Plus she effectively fixes trigger points along the way. Her massage therapy sessions always integrate the whole body. If you have active kids, I highly recommend Lonni for their massages, as well. Lonni is very talented. She understands muscles, and movements in a very intuitive way, and I have never left Lonni's office feeling unsatisfied. She always gives me what feels like 110% of her ability, even when I'm the last client in the day. She has worked with me on recovery and prep for racing and running, as well as general neck and shoulder tension. I have had chronic back issues now for almost two years since my L5 disk became herniated in a sports related accident. I have seen a lot of RMT's in my healing process and Lonni is by far the best for many reasons.
